They're appealing because the decision was unjust.
Troll: They have yet to prove anything...
Reply: The only party that has yet to prove anything is the "victim." It was her burden to PROVE that an innocent third party was financially liable for breaching a duty. That the jury bought into her argument does not mean that she proved anything. The arguments presented by her attorney fall far short of proving that either a duty existed or that it was breached; Tears of Oberon pointed you to the case of Bryan v. Watchtower, which sums up the reasons why quite well - to the extent you actually care about FACTS.
Troll: I do believe the WTBTS is guilty from a moral standpoint...
Reply: To believe such is to believe that a third party has a "moral" duty to hold a person liable for behavior they don't have ACTUAL KNOWLEDGE of, and that they have a duty to each and every congregant equal to or exceeding the fiduciary duty a parent owes to a child.
Neither belief is "moral." Both are, in fact, quite immoral.
Troll: I have asked this question before, maybe you could give me your opinion, TEARY. If you had been one of the elders on the original Kendricks judicial matter (with stepdaughter), and if you had a daughter, would you have allowed your daughter to spend the night with Kendricks step daughter (assuming they were friends and step daughter was not "bad association)?
Reply: This is a fallacious appeal to emotion; people are not - nor should they be - deemed guilty based on unsubstantiated allegations, regardless of the "seriousness" of those allegations, nor should innocent third parties be held liable for not taking action based on unsubstantiated allegations, or anything less than ACTUAL KNOWLEDGE.
Candice Conti and her lawyer committed a FRAUD because they extorted money from an innocent third party based on the idea that ACTUAL KNOWLEDGE was present and that a conscious decision was made to conceal that knowledge from the "victim" specifically. BOTH Candice Conti & her lawyer - especially her lawyer - knows, or SHOULD know, that such is NOT true. That, in and of itself, makes them dishonest. Beyond that, neither argument has substantiated, FACTUAL merit. You believe them, as do many ignorant online ex/antiJW parasites, as did the jury. That you, collectively, buy into those arguments does not mean they have merit. No matter which way you slice it, the decision was a travesty of justice, and the "victim" and her lawyer are guilty of fraud - in economic reality, if not legally, though a legal case could be made. Whether or not anyone actually attempts to argue it is an entirely different matter.
You keep saying the same thing over and over. Watch Tower is being railroaded, Watch Tower is framed, Watch Tower is the victim. Is that what your going to say next time the WTS loses a major child molestation lawsuit? And what about the time after that? Stop your whining. Your JW pedophile buddies are losing and getting what they deserve. They are just like King Manasseh of ancient Israel. He sacrificed his own son and was the king of Israel.

And?

Troll: Is that what your going to say next time the WTS loses a major child molestation lawsuit?

Reply: If the facts of the case lead to that conclusion, then yes.

Troll: And what about the time after that?

Reply: Depends on the facts of that case.

Troll: Stop your whining.

Reply: It is not "whining" to call attention to an injustice; were you to be found liable for something you had no involvement with and no control over you too would be calling bullshit.

Don't be a hypocrite.

Troll: Your JW pedophile buddies are losing and getting what they deserve.

Reply: Why do they "deserve" to be defrauded? Please, offer me a substantive explanation, based on the FACTS of the Conti case.

Troll: They are just like King Manasseh of ancient Israel. He sacrificed his own son and was the king of Israel.

Reply: And?

Nothing could be further from the truth.

FACTS don't protect anyone at the expense of anyone else; FACTS simply are facts. And, where it concerns Candice Conti, Jonathan Kendrick was not "protected" at her expense.

Troll: Angel: Which will ALWAYS be the same as the one before. Guilty as charged.

Reply: Right, because no one ever falsely accused another person of committing a crime, and no person convicted of a crime was ever wrongfully convicted.

You seriously need to let this go and wait on jehovah. You're going to give yourself a heart attack with all of this stress trying to prove a point that is a lost cause.

Well, your reply had nothing to do with what I posted so, here it is again.

Really, you're going to blow a gasket. Leave it in jehovah's hands.

As it is, I'm not interested in your supposition, your ignorance, your bigotry, your hatred or any of the other expressions of your mental disease or defect which leads you to drone on as you do; I'm interested discussion that is grounded in the FACTS of the Kendrick-Conti affair.
Make a note of it.
You need to chill out and wait on jehovah.

And, with armageddon getting pushed further and further into the future, you are going to have an awful long wait for my mother.

Just so you know I've been reading your comments and I normally don't respond to any of these so I would just like to say that if you look hard enough into any organization you will find imperfection, discrempencies, poor judgement, whatever you would like to call it. Why? Because nobody is perfect, even Jesus disciples made mistakes as matter of fact Peter made made many but who did Jesus trust with the keys of the kingdom? PETER😊 Peter and the rest of Jesus apostles were willing to accept correction as are Jehovah's witnesses if necessary. Also civil courts do make mistakes in their judgements too that's why we have a Supreme Court, even the Apostle Paul appealed to Caesar because of an unfavorable verdict.....something to think about.

deliberately covering up child abuse is not "imperfection, discrempencies, poor judgement, etc", it is wrong, morally reprehensible and evil.

Anger management: 10 tips to tame your temper

Keeping your temper in check can be challenging. Use simple anger management tips — from taking a timeout to using "I" statements — to stay in control.

No. 1: Take a timeout

Counting to 10 isn't just for kids. Before reacting to a tense situation, take a few moments to breathe deeply and count to 10. Slowing down can help defuse your temper. If necessary, take a break from the person or situation until your frustration subsides a bit.

No. 2: Once you're calm, express your anger

As soon as you're thinking clearly, express your frustration in an assertive but nonconfrontational way. State your concerns and needs clearly and directly, without hurting others or trying to control them.

No. 3: Get some exercise

Physical activity can provide an outlet for your emotions, especially if you're about to erupt. If you feel your anger escalating, go for a brisk walk or run, or spend some time doing other favorite physical activities. Physical activity stimulates various brain chemicals that can leave you feeling happier and more relaxed than you were before you worked out.

No. 4: Think before you speak

In the heat of the moment, it's easy to say something you'll later regret. Take a few moments to collect your thoughts before saying anything — and allow others involved in the situation to do the same.

No. 5: Identify possible solutions

Instead of focusing on what made you mad, work on resolving the issue at hand. Does your child's messy room drive you crazy? Close the door. Is your partner late for dinner every night? Schedule meals later in the evening — or agree to eat on your own a few times a week. Remind yourself that anger won't fix anything, and might only make it worse.

No. 6: Stick with 'I' statements

To avoid criticizing or placing blame — which might only increase tension — use "I" statements to describe the problem. Be respectful and specific. For example, say, "I'm upset that you left the table without offering to help with the dishes," instead of, "You never do any housework."

No. 7: Don't hold a grudge

Forgiveness is a powerful tool. If you allow anger and other negative feelings to crowd out positive feelings, you might find yourself swallowed up by your own bitterness or sense of injustice. But if you can forgive someone who angered you, you might both learn from the situation. It's unrealistic to expect everyone to behave exactly as you want at all times.

No. 8: Use humor to release tension

Lightening up can help diffuse tension. Don't use sarcasm, though — it can hurt feelings and make things worse.

No. 9: Practice relaxation skills

When your temper flares, put relaxation skills to work. Practice deep-breathing exercises, imagine a relaxing scene, or repeat a calming word or phrase, such as, "Take it easy." You might also listen to music, write in a journal or do a few yoga poses — whatever it takes to encourage relaxation.

No. 10: Know when to seek help

Learning to control anger is a challenge for everyone at times. Consider seeking help for anger issues if your anger seems out of control, causes you to do things you regret or hurts those around you. You might explore local anger management classes or anger management counseling. With professional help, you can:

A sexual assault of a CHILD, is NOT an "affair"!
You perverted sick f**k!!
You will be going the way of Jerry Sandusky, and in prison you will have lots of "affairs", please let us know how those are going, it will provide us with a modicum of satisfaction.

You will be surrounded by other victims of childhood sexual assault, and fathers of children, they will be only to happy to have an "affair" with you!!

The systematic protecting of sexual assaults of children, while having policies that endanger children and aid the crime of sexual assault of a child is NOT "poor judgement"
It is a crime of enormous proportions, and proves that the morals of the Jehovah's Witness cult are in the toilet, the most disgusting and evil of all cults!
Jehovah's witnesses themselves are so gutless, that they refuse to protect their most innocent members, the children. They are told to look the other way when a child is a victim of a sexual predator and they do.
Hence, the 28 million dollar unasked for judgement against the wBTS, the jury was so disgusted they wanted the world to know what is going on in those windowless Kingdumb Halls.
