I would not put it above the Bible either as I do not view either book exactly as the word of God.II wouldn't put it above the Bible nor on par with the Bible. Just on its speculations alone I wouldn't classify it as anything I would stake my life and lifestyle on. People have died in the sure hope and positive message that the Bible provides.
No offence but the Urantia book has a following because people may enjoy its fiction, its speculation, its fantasy. Not unlike followers of other fictional worlds based on their respective works of fiction.
I suggest you shake this off and move on. The Bible is much better than this. And will be better for you too.
The Urantia book itself says who wrote most of it.
It was the beings called the "Midwayers"
That is a group of beings that exist in the planes of existence between the material world and the spirit world.
So the book admits itself that it is not exactly the "word of God", but what it does say is that it did have permission to write the book.
