So, what's the wtbts doing to help people in New York? Or the same as Joplin or Loisiana! Maybe at least Brooklyn?

This is right in their backyard, and you know they are doing nothing, as usual.

I believe their m.o. in any area devastated by disaster is to hand out life saving literature.

Passing out brightly colored WTS pamphlets saves on writing a checks.....you know...the ones that would be making a hefty and meaningful donation to really help those in need of so many things. It COULD happen that any victims of "Sandy" that are able to hoof it to the WTS HQ's.....just possibly MIGHT talk those in the kitchen at Bethel into a little bag containing a sandwich and some bottled water to sustain them....but in lieu of a check dont'cha know.....

They are doing what everyone is doing for those affected by the storm.

Hurricane Sandy strikes East Coast of the United States

NOVEMBER 7, 2012 | UNITED STATES

As of November 2, 2012, there were no known deaths and one serious injury reported among the Witnesses. There was relatively minor damage at the Witnesses’ world headquarters in Brooklyn. There were 61 homes of Witnesses and some 12 Kingdom Halls seriously damaged by floods or high winds. More than 1,100 Witnesses were evacuated in advance of the storm. Damage assessments are ongoing, and Witness volunteers are coordinating their efforts with local authorities to meet the needs of fellow worshippers and other victims. Media Contact: J.R. I know one thing the Witnesses are doing is getting all their family (physical and spiritual) out of the shelters and into private homes with Witnesses, which takes a big load off and makes more public assistance available to those of other religions who do not take one another in.

Of course, Nedoba and Redhorsewoman and others in the East have many refugees staying with them, dontcha know?

There was a hall damaged on 20th street here in the city.

Flooded. A team of brothers were there literally 2 days later cleaning it up and taking care of doing and redoing what has to be redone.

So again the wtbts leaves the responsibility on it's members. Not a dime from the wtbts!

Good info. Thank you for sharing this.

It is not a wise course to always pay heed to the rumor mill.

Witnesses, witnesses, witnesses, that's the only ones they worry about or typically help.

AND what "other" religions would that be hypocrite , many families have lost homes or been affected and may be in shelters themselves but since your so knowledgable on these people from "other" religions that are not helping their family members maybe you could enlighten them here by identifying them and setting them straight .Here we see just how low this so called JW will stoop but has she donated money to help anyone well , doubt it , she just jaw flaps .

I see you didn't read it or comprehend what it says.

***fellow worshippers and other victims***

Who would be the other victims? We know who the fellow worshipers are.

Why wouldn't we help our own? We don't sit back and do nothing. We get out there and see what is needed, clean up, repairs, food, clothing. All you guys do is sit back, do nothing, and send a check and think you've done all you can for your fellow brothers and sisters in the faith.

This is why we have a great brotherhood.

The brothers and even a sister called me everyday asking me if I was Ok, had food, medicines, and if the electric went off if I had a place to stay. They were offering homes to stay in if I didn't. I was fortunate to not need the assistance but it was there if I need it.

We do have a great brother and sisterhood.

No all knowing one. I do not sit back. I do not just send a check. You have no idea what I do, and I can tell you I've been live and in the flesh for many post disasters and one of the first things the jws ask before they give people assistance is what cong do you go to?
Are you there? Are you helping? Where do you want to meet? Time and place and we'll compare notes.
Are you personally helping or just the 'brotherhood'?
Are you helping house any families regardless of what religion they are? Did you bring water and batteries and coolers?
Don't presume to know what I do or don't do in a disaster, you don't know your butt from the sink hole in the back yard.

The brothers know that we would want to know how they are doing in this disaster as well as our brothers and sisters who live in homes. We are all family, too.

That's why I went to the web page to see if there was anything on what was happening there. The rumor mill is made up of apostates/opposers and we already know that whatever they say is tainted with their lies and hate for our brothers and sisters.

'Who don't take one another in?' Are you stupid or just a lying idiot? Never mind it's a combo. This just shows how uninformed you are and removed from the situation.
There are churches polling parishoners as to who has how much room to house others, who has clothes etc. There are vans traveling where possible taking supplies to people, NOT just their own.
There are actually people out there taking in others and there is no religious criteria. I bet they would even take in a JW. How about that? You should travel to the east coast and put your money or your muscles where you mouth is.
