The Jehovah's Witnesses are rare among religious groups in publishing precise (though self-reported) membership statistics. The organisation is also unusual in counting as a member only someone who is actively involved in teaching its works.

The group claimed 6.7m practising members as of August 2006, and some 16.7m in attendance at its big annual service. America has most members, at over 1m. Big devout countries include Brazil, Mexico and Nigeria. Since 2005, membership has dropped most in Europe. Latin America and Africa saw the biggest increases.

There are now twice as many former Jehovah's Witnesses as there are active ones with 13,000 leaving every month.

Debunking the Jehovah's Witnesses beliefs:

A) They are at your door to recruit you for enslavement to their watchtower corporation, they will say that "we are just here to share a message from the Bible" this is deception right off.

B) The 'message' is their false Gospel that Jesus is ruling in heaven already since 1914.The problem with this is it's not just a cute fairy tale,Jesus warned of the false prophets who would claim "..look he is here in the wilderness,or see here he is at the temple"

C) Their anti-blood transfusion ban has killed hundreds if not thousands

D) once they recruit you they will "love bomb" you in cult fashion to also recruit your family & friends or cut them off. There are many more dangers,Jehovah's Witnesses got a bad rap for good and valid reasons.

Oh Danny Danny Danny...
You were doing SO good there for a moment by simply publishing what you were able to dig up from last week but then, you had to add your own own little lies to it.
Lets look first at the published article....

Now, seeing that this is supposed to be some kind of professional report, lets run it thru the spell check to see how a pro does it....

THE Jehovah's (probably a problem with the HTML formatting, this one can slide)

Lets add a bit more to this Danno.
Your heading reports of a net loss yet, nowhere in the article does it say ANYTHING about a loss.
I guess when the truth doesn't work, you can just lie right Danny?
Because you are now a proven liar, nothing you say either here or in your lawsuits hold any water.

"..Since 2005, membership has dropped most in Europe..."
Drop and LOSS (net loss) mean the same thing.

The Watchtower's own stats show same, actually this is old news the attrition of membership is not keeping up with baptisms. All cults are notorious for exagerating their membership, for the Watchtower to admit to ANY loss is telling indeed.

Baptisms at assemblies is often mostly family mememers kids growing up JW.

The reason i'm posting this stat info is because JW apologist who say they "are the fastest growing religion" are misinformed.

Yes, his credibility is shot. No one appreciates being played a fool when they read and believe such lies, only to find out later the truth.

Jeepers...you believe everything the WATCHTOWER PRINTS don't you? And LOOK at their 130 YEARS of lies!

I have to wonder what criteria you follow to determine what you believe and what you don't.

Your accusation is twisted false JW flamebait nonsense. The news article is plain as rain.

This is why so many find it necessary to slam the door in your argumentive JW troll faces.

Hey you JWs out there....why don't you ask Danny what he believes in. Bet you might get a surprise.

I think he is a Pagan, a distant relative of mine, so to speak. Go ahead ask him. Bet you won't get a answer. Bet he doesn't belong to any religion, Christian or otherwise. Bet he has a wall hanging that's titled Philosphy of Danny AN EX JW. Sounds like a good title for a new book "Confessions of an Ex Jehovah Witness", by Danny Boy.

You know Danny Boy you ought to consider that. Take some of your great literary notes and put them together with a good narrative* and visit a publishing house. See if you can get a book deal to make up for all the money you to those nasty JWs who brainwashed you into giving it to them.
Hey you might even make enough money to buy your way back in get yourself elected into the governing council and then you could help change things. what do you think?

I think I would clean up those responses a bit. Of course you will have to simplify them so that the average person even knows what those religious terms are you keep referring to.

Well...I was loyal and obedient. AND I took my committment seriously enough to get baptized, thinking I was dedicating my life to Jehovah.

YOU, on the other hand, sit and smugly peck away on a computer, criticizing OTHERS who DID get baptized and then encountered problems, while you show how little you think of the WTS teachings by steering clear of making a dedication.

The Count says:"Hey you JWs out there....why don't you ask Danny what he believes in. Bet you might get a surprise."

You seem quite preoccupied with "what Danny believes"! Frankly, I don't care what he believes or does not believe, it is of no consequence to me!

What he has experienced and what he relates is his own and may very well HELP someone who is contemplating baptism or beginning to study the WTS bible aids.

If YOU are so gung-ho in finding out "what Danny believes" maybe you should ask HIM on this forum, or email him privately to inquire.

I don't really think it matters all that much to anyone else OTHER than you.

Yeah I find interesting that someone spouts off like him but he hides what he is. Personally I think he's full of sh**.

HE wouldn't discuss it though sister, and I don't mean Sister. He's a loser who couldn't cut it so they cut him loose.
I'm beginning to think most of you are still JWs with random desires to be free of it but you do not know how or don't have the guts to make a move.

Or worse you could be an EX and still be desirous of going back. Pitiful!
Notice how your defending Danny Boy and he doesn't speak.

Well since you can evidently talk what's your religion. JW Christian or non-religious?

Why don't you get a life and do something worthwhile.
