Does not look like any body wants to help you out ihveit.

Is it a secret, that nobody wants to tell whats in the footnotes?

Just curious???

ihv.. hope, does the pdf have page10 of the NWT??? IF SO you will see that j 13 and j 14 is referencing J. C. REICHARDT..

he translated the bible from greek to hebrew in the 1850 and they claim he used "jehovah" in that particular verse..

first i wonder how they figured that out since none knows how to read or even interpret hebrew?

i cant read hebrew either but i can pick out words if i have a clue where to look..

MORE TO COME AS NOTES ARE FOUND LOL

For I received from the Lord* that which I also handed on to YOU, that the Lord Jesus in the night+ in which he was going to be handed over took a loaf
here are the footnotes
matthew 26:20
20 When, now, it had become evening,+ he was reclining at the table with the twelve disciples.+
Luke 22:14
14 At length when the hour came, he reclined at the table, and the apostles with him.+
The footnotes reference the other scriptures where the same citation is or in direct connection

also there is no "j" or translation by using Jehovah. The scripture does not refer to Jehovah and is clearly talking about Jesus. Any accurate information regarding jehovahs witnesses may be found at jw.org or wol.jw.org . Most people/websites claiming to know have truth about jws speak vicious lies to slander witnesses.

Noone ever asks a question on here they dont already have a planned answer to.

And then we call that sort of blind one-sided tunnelvision "discussion" and actually convince ourselves Jesus or Jehovah (your choice really)wants us to feel prideful enough about our special designation with Him to share with others how they can be special like us......

JW's, ex-Jw's, dogma breeds dogma....

And all of you religionists choke out your own faith through your own self righteousness.

Will, your not nearly as clever as you imagine yourself to be.

But hey, if it gives you a few special esteem points for a bit, then I say go for it!

After all, that is exaclty what Jesus would do.....right....right?

In Jesus's name....Amen

ihv many times in bibles they have a footnote pointing you either to another verse or in most cases ONE WORD..

you response above i think is wrong.. and heres why..

first off do you have the wd cd?

if not let me copy paste the verse:

"23 For I received from the Lord that which I also handed ,,,,,,,,"

oops the "*" after the word lord doesnt show up there.. thats what i am talking about.. click on the star.. and you get this:
“The Lord,” אAB; J13,14,“Jehovah.”

notice the j 13k, 14 is refering to the Lord in the verse being translated "jehovah" by this translator..

do you know who the "j" stands for? not for jehovah certainly but for a scholor.

if you go to page 10 of the nwt or on the cd you will see that the "j"reference is used for the following copied from the nwt:
J13 Christian Greek Scriptures, Heb., by A. McCaul, M. S. Alexander, J. C. Reichardt and S. Hoga, London, 1838.
J14 Christian Greek Scriptures, Heb., by J. C. Reichardt, London, 1846.

notice BOTH INSTANCES "13 AND 14" reference Reichardt as an authority.. he translate the greek to hebrew back in the mid 1800

are you following me so far?

ihv you really need to read my last two posts.. the letter j is not in reference to the name jehovah.

its in reference to the wt telling you that j13 and j 14 is referring to a scholor.. page 10 or the bible gives you who this person or persons are who is referenced by the letter j..

its really simple once you think about it. yet most jws really dont know how to use asteriks and footnotes of their bible.. guess its not a big deal to study

ihv dude/ess i dont know what in your mind but this certainly isnt on topic..

and no i am not clever.. but i have been dealing with jws for ome 25 years.... so when i ask a question USUALLY i already know what the jws answer will be...

AND IM SURE THAT many studying the cults also can do the same thing.. i could ask a question then the next post give an almost word for word answer what the jws will say..

and now since you are so smart why dont you adddress the question of the j thing in the discussion...

we constantly have to waste time of this stuff that distracts from the discussion .. and YEA I AM SMART ENOUGHT to know that too..

you see this discussion is to show readers here how the wt manipulates the scriptures and in some cases out right lie to its readers.. hang in there and you might learn something.

ihv EXACTLY the wt claims that the "J" footnote denotes that this reichardt translates this as "jehovah" in the bible he translated from greek to hebrew... so are they implying this should be translated as "jehovah" using this guy as an authority?

reading the passage its clear why the wt didnt use "jehovah" there.. but i guess you will disagree as usual
