You twisted a scripture that you yourself has posted from the Bible you used in this post #25, you twisted to suit your thoughts on the subject.

Neither do you exchange works for salvation. But like faith, works are necessary.

Neither is a trade off, both are required:

*** Jas 2:14 What good is it, my brothers, if a man says he has faith, but has no works? Can faith save him?

*** Jas 2:17 Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead in itself.

*** Jas 2:20 But do you want to know, foolish man, that faith apart from works is dead?

*** Jas 2:22 You see that faith worked with his works, and by works faith was perfected;

*** Jas 2:24 You see then that by works, a man is justified, and not only by faith.

*** Jas 2:26 For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, even so faith apart from works is dead.

This is a game he is playing. He puts out a bible quote from another bible and then acts all innocent when he is called on it.
Why wouldn't he use the NWT? Why if not using it would he not say what bible he was quoting?

He used a different one this time because a poster showed him what the org says about exerting yourself. They only way he could deny it was to quote from another bible and imply the other poster was being deceitful, when he was the one not being forthright.

I have been using that Bible almost exclusively for YEARS.

You assumed I was using a different translation and FALSELY accused me of misquoting it.

Now you won't admit what you did.
MixedMedia wrote:

Because people use the NWT as an excuse to bicker about the translation rather than answer to the scriptures.
MixedMedia wrote:

Because everybody else is smart enough to realize its not the NWT. Especially when they realize that its worded slightly different to the NWT.

None of that is true.

I merely quoted the Bible to show that the Bible agreed with what the WT publication said.

Everything else is in your head.

Jehovah's Witnesses are the ONLY denomination that are regularly encouraged to read the Bible on its own cover to cover Genesis to Revelation over and over again.
This is IN ADDITION to other regular study.
SO you can definitively say no other denomination encourages its members to read the bible except yours??? Its no wonder JW's believe in invisible appointing and Abraham coming back to live with them in San Diego, such degree of prideful ignorance is profound.

He is poorly informed. He cannot really investigate other religions and what they do, he has to take the orgs word for it.
If he were to really find out and they found out he was looking...
back room for him.
That is of course if he really is even actively associated with them.

READERS if you want to know what Jehovah's Witnesses ACTUALLY believe you need to ask them directly. Most people on web sites like this have a very garbled and inaccurate understanding:
Jehovah's Witnesses:
http://www.jw.org/en/jehovahs-witnesses/
Jehovah's Witnesses' publications:
http://www.jw.org/en/publications/
Jehovah's Witnesses' Bible teachings:
http://www.jw.org/en/bible-teachings/

So please tell me what is the little truth you agree ?

You can definitively say that as well??? Reading the bible cover the cover is a wasted exercise if you've already agreed to nail yourself to traditions and dictates of men.

""It is vital that we appreciate this fact and respond to the directions of the "slave" as we would to the voice of God"" Watchtower 1957 Jun 15 p.370

Anyone believing that has ZERO bible understanding no matter how much they read. Listen to men as you would GOD, that's funny.

Just ask any pharisee how are we saved and they will say definitely by works

Ask any first century Ephesian how are we saved and they will say by grace through faith

Grace is a gift from God we didnt do anything to earn it, any idea that you can be saved by works is contrary to Gods word.

If anyone could be saved by his own works then jesus death would be unnecessary.
Works are the product of salvation you are not saved by works, but because you are saved good works follow.

One of the more prominent and oft-repeated mantras used (and over-used) by the WT religious leaders....is to continually ask oneself if he is "doing enough" to please God by engaging in WTS pursuits to the point of exhaustion. Every meeting and every assembly is geared to this end in one form or another....and the WTS burden is FAR removed from Jesus' statement that HIS yoke was light and unburdensome.

The heart of man is known to be one of many pitfalls and temptations to do wrong and veer off the fine path. THIS is where we need to exert ourselves vigorously to try our best to keep out feet on the good path.

It has NOTHING to do with adding on more "hours" promoting a high control form of religion whose doctrines and policies keep changing like the weather.....by men that demand that ones MUST accept whatever they currently say and teach no matter how ludicrous it happens to be.

God is Love....and He wishes that none will die....but will ALL to attain to repentance and to live in peace and harmony with all living creatures on this planet.

This has already been explained.
It is NOT POSSIBLE to earn your salvation through works. You are OBLIGED to do works even though they will never be enough to earn your salvation.
Therefore REGARDLESS of the obligatory works you must do your salvation is an UNDESERVED GIFT.
So our salvation depends on, NOT ANY WORKING we may do, and NOT on any support we may or may not give to ANY group of our fellow human sinners. Wouldn't you agree? And there is no such things as "deserving ones" of salvation, because salvation is "an UNDESERVED GIFT"!

Notice how Jesus Christ says we must DO THE WILL OF GOD in order to be saved.
THAT scripture identifies those WHO WILL ENTER INTO THE KINGDOM OF THE HEAVENS. If all JWs claim that THEY are the ones who are DOING THE WILL OF GOD, then they will ALL ENTER INTO THE KINGDOM OF THE HEAVENS. THAT is NOT a teaching of "the Society". It IS a teaching of the HOLY BIBLE. For YOU as a JW or a "study" of JWs KNOW that "the Society" teaches that only 144,000 will ENTER INTO THE KINGDOM OF THE HEAVENS. Do YOU believe what you quoted Jesus Christ's teaching? Or do YOU believe what "the Society" teaches?

No, salvation DOES depend on works. But those works will never be enough to EARN your salvation, therefore salvation IF GIVEN is a GIFT from God and not a result of those works.

Salvation is a result of FAITH proved by works aka LIVING FAITH:

What is it about these scriptures that you don't understand?

*** Jas 2:14 What good is it, my brothers, if a man says he has faith, but has no works? Can faith save him?

*** Jas 2:17 Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead in itself.

You should know that the "Kingdom of the Heavens" will have both KINGS and SUBJECTS.

The KINGS will rule from heaven.

The SUBJECTS will live on earth.

ALL will be in the "Kingdom of the Heavens" which will rule the Universe (including the earth).

What you are noting are the many contradiction from the JW's. The Bible say one thing and they do another. They, themselfs say that everlasting life is not owe to works. But because the JW' unknowning to themselfs, are brainwashed by the beast they are even more confuse then you are about what they say

I woud like for any JW to clarify this issue for me. the Bible says: "for it is BY GRACE you have been SAVED... AND THIS IS NOT FROM YOURSELVES, it is the GIFT of God, NOT BY WORKS, so that NO ONE can boast" but the Watchtower says that Jehovah's Witnesses have to " EXERT themselves VIGOROUSLY to ATTAIN salvation".
The Bible says that salvation is a gracious GIFT but the Watchtower says that JWs have to work vigoroulsy to attain salvation. Is it possible for any JW to be saved by using the Watchtower method? Is this possible? Is this logical? Can anyone tell me?
