At 3:31 Arizona time a representative of the Baptist Church came to our door and gave us a brochure on his church and ask if he could share a scripture with us.... OMG that is awesome. So it appears the Baptists may be going door to door.
He had a southern accent.. so I teased him and said yall sound like yer a Baptist.. he laughed and said yes maam, Georgia. It was very cool.

Yes, Aughra, A Baptist came to my door this past Saturday inviting me to a nearby Baptist church,
They often come along with the Methodist. The JW's like to think they are the only ones but of course that is what their GB tells them and they are arrogant enough to believe it.

Too little, too late. They cannot teach Bible Truth...they don't have it. Thats why my mother left them. They are losing members...but thats not going to help them.

ihv>>and you have the truth? if so when did you finally get the truth from the wt.. and how do you know for sure the "truth" wont change tomorrow?

nomi i know a lots of people who left the "chruch" and became jws... my inlaws are examples.... but do you know why?

i am guessing but i would think the reason you mom left was the same reason many others have left.. they went to chruch on sunday mornings... and thats it...

and the bible isnt taught at the worship service.. to learn you need to 1)do self study 2)go to the bible studies held by the churches... and 3)pay attention...

most who leave were not really involved to begin with... and thats why YOU have no worship service and you run around starting "BOOK STUDIES." yep not bible studies but book studies.

and when you run into people who know their bible you put them on your ignore list

Do tell us about the 'Bible' truth that you have.

How about this...

Marriage Obligations and Divorce

Sodomy (or the unnatural intercourse of one male with another male as with a female), Lesbianism (or the homosexual relations between women), and bestiality (or the unnatural sexual relations by man or woman with an animal) are not Scriptural grounds for divorce.

Baptist, like many other relgions, don't even believe the same within their own religion. Some go with the trinity, others do not. The one my mother was with did not. This is true of most all other religions too.

Jehovah's Witnesses all believe the same. It's a requirement in the high control dictatorship they call religion.

That's why they are ALL WRONG!

We believe the same because we are united in our worship...which is what the Bible says the "True religion" must be.

Baptists, along with Methodists, Anglicans, Roman Catholics and all the other orthodox Christian Churches believe that the Trinity represents a single God in Three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, as described in Scripture (just one example - the end of Matthew's Gospel). Three persons - yet one God, as outlined by Athanasius in the famous Athanasian Creed (q.v.)

Thus Baptists, along with all the other Christian denominations, regard Jesus as divine and the manifestation of God in human form. This is contrary to pseudo-Christian sects such as the jehovah's witnesses, as one example, who regard the Trinity with contempt, and, although accepting Jesus as the 'Son of God'(whatever that means) deny his divinity.

Baptist distinctives are beliefs that are common among almost all Baptist churches. Baptists share so-called "orthodox" Christian beliefs with most other moderate or conservative Christian denominations. These would include beliefs about one God, the virgin birth, the sinless life, miracles, vicarious atoning death, burial, and bodily resurrection of Christ, the Trinity

Rather than say that it is good to see OTHERS going door to door to preach the Good News....NOMI scoffs and dismisses it and says "too little, too late".

Zero credit for doing what SHE THINKS only JWs do.

The heart of the JW is stone cold, very tiny and has no room for any one or any thing else but what the men in NY tell them.

ihv>> actually nomi this applies to your religion as well..

then we moved and spent the next 5 year and counting right here about 10 blocks from the jws... in all that time not one visit..and to think jws live less than a block from me..

ps could it be because all the jws within 50 miles are aware of me?

Christians have been preaching the gospel for centuries door to door , street ministries , missionaries world wide , in churches and in home bible studies .I as well have Baptists that come a few imes each year we have rec'd two invitations from 2 seperate Baptists churches just over the past couple months and one was an invitation to a dinner and service which we will attend and we also have attended the church as well , very nice and Christian people , very kind and the pastor is wonderful and preaches straight from the bible no other literature bible only.

So why do "christians" critizice JW's for going door to door?

Sounds like a double standard!

I would have to accept that idea....we live in a small village and have been here since 1981. There are three JWs families 3, 4 and 5 houses away. I walked away from the WTS over 10 years ago and have had ONE JW to visit here, an elder....who merely wanted to find out if I still had no interest in returning. There have to be about 25 JWs all in a small radius around me, and they have to pass by my home to get to town and to the KH for meetings....so I understand exactly what you are saying.

Not the friendliest group on the map, eh?

LOL! They are missing a key ingredient in their work:

(Zechariah 4:6) 6 Accordingly he answered and said to me:“This is the word of Jehovah ..., saying,‘“Not by a military force, nor by power, but by my spirit,” Jehovah of armies has said.

(Matthew 28:20). . .And, look! I am with YOU all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.”

Jehovah's Witnesses have accomplished their 100 years+ of continuous preaching by the backing of Jehovah's holy spirit.

It is very obvious that Jesus Christ has been with us throughout this time of the end.

Let's see if the Baptists can get 7,000,000 people of all ages preaching the good news about God's kingdom (not handing out invitations) in 236 lands.

Jehovah and Jesus Christ are backing us.

The message .
No double standard it's all about the message .Christians do not want to be recruited into the cult .

According to the Catholic Church all protestant denominations are a cult!
