The weather is so changable anymore. Karen's at 82, yours cold, today down my way, 79. But next few days supposed to cool off again. Hard to know what to expect anymore.
It got to 86 here, then yesterday it got to 48, now today it is 36. But we are to get back up into the high 70's this weekend. It is no reason people are getting sick. All of our bushes and trees have budded out, some of the trees actually have leaves on them. My beautiful lilac bushes are budding out, and the forsythia bushes have bloomed. Across the street I see beautiful colors of flowers all over the place. Also my Silver Dollars have bloomed the flowers and they are so pretty, Jehovah had a love for colors. I hope that you are enjoying all these beautiful colors Nomi.

Its warm again today here too. My Crocus(I think thats what they are) have bloomed, and are so pretty...but like Tulips they don't often last too long.

Tulips are so beautiful, but you are correct they don't last very long at all. We have a few crocus and they are so pretty, they look so hardy but don't last long. that is the kind of flower that the man across the street has that bloomed a couple of weeks ago, they were so pretty but they are gone now. Spring time is the most beautiful time of the year to me, everything is so fresh and vibrant. Our pecan tree is always one of the last trees to bloom out and it is starting to bloom. All this warm weather has really made things come out here. When we sit at the dinner table and eat lunch, we can see all the neighborhood and there are tulip trees,(thats what I call them, I know they are called something else) Dogwood trees, Huge Oak trees, and so many others. We have a huge Red Maple in our yard and it is just beautiful. God sure loves color.:)

Sounds nice Karen. We have a lovely day here. I do love flowers, and used to love planting, and seeing them grow. I hate that I am so limited now.
I see others lovely plants, and wish I could do more. My neighbor plants tulips, and they are so gorgeous, while they last. Spring is a beautiful time of the year, thats for sure. Hope you and yours are having a nice weekend.

Congratulations!
Today is your day.
You're off to Great Places!
You're off and away!...
Oh, the places you'll go!

The rhymes are about a young fellow setting out into life, traveling
to amazing places and experiencing amazing things, all on his own. Bob edges over. He peers across my shoulder at a picture of this fellow facing several menacing gremlins.

All alone!
Whether you like it or not,
Alone will be something
You'll be quite a lot.
And when you're alone, there's a very good chance
You'll meet things that scare you
right out of your pants...
But on you will go
Through the weather be foul.
On you will go
Through your enemies prowl.

As I read, Bob chuckles. I chuckle too. The heaviness I've been feeling begins to fade.

And will you succeed?
Yes! You will, indeed!

98 and 3/4 percent guaranteed.

Here is a poem that we took an entire six-week marking period (in high school) to analyze and discuss as a group:
If—
By Rudyard Kipling
(‘Brother Square-Toes’—Rewards and Fairies)
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies,
Or being hated, don’t give way to hating,
And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise:
If you can dream—and not make dreams your master;
If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build ’em up with worn-out tools:
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them:‘Hold on!’
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings—nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!
