correct me if i'm wrong, but that apology came a few years later.... their first offical position was to blame the whole thing on their members, claiming some of them got over-zealous and invented the whole thing, and put too much faith in the speculation..... all while denying the source was themselves, the jw gov body.

so later, after tons of jws left, they realized they needed to fix their obvious lie, so they came out with some sort of watered down apology.

today, most jws still deny the whole charade, based on the tricky talk coming from the gov body's writing dept.

'apologies', just to get off the hook, after you are cornered and got no where else to go, don't count.
its kinda like the murderer who apologizes to the victim's family, after all of his lies in court don't work, and now he is being sentenced, so he apologizes to get a lighter sentance.

see, there you have it.... its the simple things that give them away.... they don't even have simple 'dumb it down' morals...
.....as they claim god selected them to rule over all of his sheep, because of their morals in keeping his laws.... yet, in reality, it was all about inventing a FAKE COMING OF JESUS, and then beating up anyone who saw through their tricky bible talk.
