Amen!

Finally someone who can admit that the Revelation given to the seven congregations was actually meant for the Seven Congregations and THEIR generation!

This is such no-brainer.

The Man of Lawlessness or the Man of Sin was probably Emperor Nero who persecuted Christians extensively; he was responsible for the deaths of the apostles Paul and Peter and he banished John to the Isle of Patmos.

The anti-Christ however, is identified like this:

1 John 2:
22 Who is the liar if it is not the one that denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one that denies the Father and the Son. 23 Everyone that denies the Son does not have the Father either. He that confesses the Son has the Father also.
----

It looks like anyone could be the antichrist -- if he denies that Jesus is the Christ. This would make most Jews then and today antichrists. A very sobering thought.

People laughed at Noah, until it started to rain. No surprise there would be scoffers in our day. Par for the course.

1Jn_2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

John states that antichrist shall come and that there were already antichrists in the world.

1Jn_2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

John states that denial of Jesus being the Christ is what makes a person an antichrist.

1Jn_4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

John states that 'antichrist' is also an influence. The antichrist's spirit (influence) was present in the 1st century.

2Jn_1:7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

John states that there exists 'an' antichrist. The point is that there is also THE antichrist, the one whose spirit was to influence others.

People scoffed at Charles T. Russell's end time prognostications about 1914.
The scoffers were right.

Then people scoffed at Judge Rutherford's last days predictions.
The scoffers were correct again.

Scoffers scoffed at the Watchtower's 1975 expectations of the world ending.
Scoffers were right again and many Witnesses understandingly joined the scoffers.

What's changed? What's any different today that should encourage someone to believe the Watchtower now? NOTHING!

Your homes and businesses have been built too close to the shore lines. I would tear them all down before the storms trash them and turn them into hazzardous waste and pollution. Under no circumstances would I rebuild that which has been destroyed by storms. The homes and businesses I would have you build would not be affected by extreme weather conditions.

If you've been under pressure lately, you might reach critical mass today. The sensitive Moon in your seventh house clashes with the Sun and Pluto, adding an edge to the mood in your relationships. You're likely to bite your room-mate's head off if your head isn't bitten off first... try to find something to laugh about to ease the tension. Those of you in intimate relationships can channel all this wild energy into passionate encounters, so avoid senseless bickering

To say such makes YOU antichrist.

By saying that you are the only-begotten Son of God, YOU are openly and publicly stating before heaven and earth that Jesus Christ is NOT the Son of God. Therefore you are also denying that Jesus is the Christ before all witnesses here.

You are also suggesting that the holy spirit has erred and that leads to a blasphemy that will not be forgiven in this life now or in the life to come.

That places the future of your soul on perilous ground.

DUH...the same place you got your 1st century 3.5 years reign of antichrist terror... FOOLISHNESS.

Why can't I get you closet anti-semites/Israel wannabees to answer a simple question...was the re-establishment of the nation of Israel an act of God, or was it an act of satan to deceive people into thinking an end-time antichrist will rise to power.

no brainer, huh?.... oh my!!!!
so everything paul wrote to various congregations was just for them?..... and everything jesus said was just for his 12 disciples?

as i recall, jesus mentioned a few things to his disciples about the signs of the conclusion of this entire world wide system, including the destruction of the temple in 70ce, earthquakes, wars all over the earth getting worse, and then said these things are just a beginning of the pangs of distress.

i can fully understand why he mentioned to not hang around jerusalem........ no brainer

Yes, it was ALL for them.

Why?

THEY were the people whom the holy spirit had revealed were living at the conclusion of the Jewish system of things. The old covenant age was in it's final stages. God had rejected earthly Jerusalem and had turned his attention to new Jerusalem in heaven.

That is the significance of Jesus coming to earth when he did. It was HIS day. His time to shine and fulfill all the prophecies spoken about him.

According to the prophet Daniel, Jesus did all of the following in the first century:

Dan.9
24“A period of seventy sets of seven has been decreed for YOUR people [Jews] and your holy city [Jerusalem]

- to finish their rebellion,
- to put an end to their sin,
- to atone for their guilt,
- to bring in everlasting righteousness,
- to confirm the prophetic vision,
- and to anoint the Most Holy Place.

25 Now listen and understand! Seven sets of seven plus sixty-two sets of seven will pass from the time the command is given to rebuild Jerusalem until a ruler—the Anointed One—comes. Jerusalem will be rebuilt with streets and strong defenses, despite the perilous times.
----

This prophecy was spoken to the Jews who were Daniel's people. He was told what would happen to his people in his future.

14 Now I am here to explain what will happen to your people [Jews] in the future, for this vision concerns a time yet to come.”
----

Daniel's prophecy was about HIS people; not the American people today or anyone else.

Your lack of evidence for you claim doesn't bolster your argument very much. Where does the bible teach a 3.5 year peace and safety covenant ordained by the antichrist?
