Well, this is the first time I have ever heard of anyone killing themselfs by blowing themself up inside of a Kingdom hall so, yeah, I would say that this is an isolated incident.
Glad to see that you do not have an inflated vision of yourself, if you have not heard of it,it is an "isolated incident"??
Our kingdom hall was burned down by the boyfriend of a teen who was abused by her elder father.
No one committed suicide, but our kingdom hall was in ashes none the less.
Just another "isolated incident" because FN has never heard about it.

Or it could be arson gone WRONG as happens on occasion.
Never the less it's a terrible way to die.
I see Old TD is still around, so we know it wasnt him.

No.. it was covered up and a massive payout was done but, there was a gag order....
lol.

On a serious note however, even if it WERE true, two incidents still does not make this common.

Easy to just assume TD is "demonized" and hates for no reason.
To me he just seems like many of us, has had a loved one fall victim to a cult. Does not want to see that happen to another family or dear friend.
Very christian comment of you though???

Well, I found reports of Kingdom Halls being burned all the way back to the 40's but, nothing about a Kingdom hall in Connecticut being burned..
Strange....

It was all covered up and swept under the rug.
Amazing how she remembers details except for things like counties, years, ect.

Got that inflated self image again.
It was Enfied Ct, already said the midseventies.
It you cannot find anything, may want to check with the WTS and see why they are covering it up.
What happened that they feel they need to cover up??
If you go to Enfield and do an investigation I am sure people who live nearby and were living there at the time, and are still alive and ask about the cult building that burned down, someone will remember.
Good luck!

Well, since my Google search turned up blank, how about the name of the person that was arrested for burning it down?

And this is a very small sample and already we have two incidents of arson and multiple incidents of suicide.
Like how you have two sets of standards, you only choose to see what you want and not look outside your small circle if it is an experience you WISH was false.
But you back up JW dogma by mentioning the "millions" of brainwashed JW's who feel as you do.
Again those "millions" are less than 1% of the population.

No....not so strange after all.

For years I have tried to access an event that I was involved in (as a bystander) that happened----it made the front page of the papers for days---and I have not been able to pull up ONE article or ANY reference to this at all.

Just because it does not come up on a search does not mean it did not happen. It is quite biased and unfair for you to put your slant on it that way.

Sorry, I was a kid.
Why not call the local congregation yourself?
This was the midseventies in a small town in New England.
Your insinuation is ridiculous.
But if it is being kept quiet it is by the WTS, why?
Maybe you should call Brooklyn.

Maybe I can go there and knock on doors to see who remembers something about it.
Hmmm.. Knocking on doors...

And you knew the date, and location etc... Where is that info here?

No kidding?

I had several relatives (including my only sister...her husband and daughter) that lived there!(T'ville :o) We were "right up the road apiece" in Springfield until we moved here to NY in 1974.

I'll bet we know a lot of people in common!

I am sure you remember counties, exact years etc. from your childhood. I am older than you, and quite frankly have only recently come to grips with the part of my childhood that was ruled by the WTS cult.
I hope your kids grill you when you relate experiences of your life. I hope you have taken video of everything as documented proof, even your childhood and every JW meeting, your so called military experience, everything.
I pray you have the "curse" child, the one who is just like you.
It does come to bite you on the butt.

Annoying people at their homes is already something you are familiar with.
Good luck!!!
