The branches people say are closing or are closed are always still there. Where does this information come from?

The Branches will be listed until the property is sold. All corresepondeses to the remaining addresses will be forward to whichever Bethel has assumed responsibility of that territory

The information generally comes from Bethelites who have been given private notice via letter to the Bethel family.

There was a list that was leaked onto the Spanish forums when Ajalvir began letting go Bethelites.

Generally speaking it is expected that the WTS is planning for the worse (ie membership decline) for 2014-2015.

Expect more streamlining and more demands to toe the line.

These are the strategic forecasts (wishful thinking) of apostates. The organization doesn't subscribe to the thinking of opposers. The organization has never declined in membership. So, basically there's nothing to substantiate these claims?

Would you like me to repost the pics of Ajalvir's presses being turned off again on JWN?

Rachel we had massive decline between 1917-1931...

Japan has closed around 500 congregations in the last few years (see worldwide reports)

ups and downs happen in all businesses.

One man's 'opposer' is another's freedom fighter such too is the personality politics of the WTS.

Either way the closings, mergings and downsizings will continue.

Hugs Rach, sorry I missed you when I visited Rosenberg this weekend

BROOKLYN RELEASED about 600 bethelites

see the problem for folks like you THE ORGANIZATION tells you nothing
so you are in the dark espeically on many organizational issues

it ain't your fault just the culture of organizations in generally

They are consolading a number of branches in Latin America, did you read about it in the latest Awake NOPE but you did see nice pictures when they OPENED A NEW BRANCH

don't get upset because you are being informed on issues you know nothing about, it just part of being a jw, you only know what YOU ARE TOLD AND THE minute someone tells you something the org has not told you , you call them a liar

when i told some fellow elders about the UN and NGO of the wt I was told i was wrong, lied, the wt would never be tied to the UN in any shape form or fashion

well they had to eat CROW

We have to feel pity for the poor WTS followers....they are never informed of anything that sheds either a bad light or a less than favorable light on the image they know as The Watchtower Society.

As with the very surprising co-mingling in the U.N. of the so called "faithful and discreet slave" that these followers look up to...there is STILL so much going on behind the scenes that DOES leak out....but the WTS will flatly deny and their loyal robots will accept without question.

The WTS is ALWAYS "a wheelin and a dealin" and are often less than "Christian" (or even honest) in their activities. Why do you think they devote so much time and energy pointing fingers at everyone else....other than to divert attention from THEM.

It really does not matter if these poor and deluded WTS defenders cling to every deception the GB hands out....things will be taking their toll and their "inflated numbers" will take a hit....but the WTS may be VERY slow and reluctant to admit it....like everything else they have hidden thus far.

The Society operates on a "need to know" basis.

If you don't fall in the category of one who has the "need to know" label attached to HIS name you don't get to know.

That is why a woman like you who is in the organization is kept in the dark and is in the last group of people to find out anything of relevance that goes on behind closed doors at bethel.

As one Governing Body member said, "Brothers, the friends just can't handle this so keep it under your hats until the slave feels that it is the right time to release the information."

It's been my experience in communicating with energy pointing fingers, that label Jehovah's Organization a man-made institution, that they can never speak with any real confidence or bear witness to the existence of God or even speak in agreement. If the WTS could be proven to be religious deception or a lie, opposers wouldn't be so divided about what is "truth" upon rejecting the Jehovah's Organization. Some perceive uncertainty as "freedom." To each their own.

If I recall correctly Japan has been growing again since about 2001, and should soon catch up to their past peak.

I am sorry to have to break it to you Bro. Standfirm....

Japan:

1998 - Congos 3,802 (you will have to dig up stats in personal library or KH library if you care to fact check)

2009 - Congos 3,173
http://www.watchtower.org/e/statistics/worldw...

That is 629 congregations less....

Further the Ebina Branch has been in the process of letting to go of older ones (10%-20%)similar to what we saw here in the US/London.....

You clearly do not know your history very well. After all the failed dates of the past, the org. have lost members. The last time was 1975, they had large increases in the run up to their false words then they lost many for a time after 1975.

Certainly Yknot's figures are way out. However Japan has shown no increase since 2003 and probably longer than that. They actually lost 4 congregations in the 2009 service year.(3177 down to 3173)

First I must apolagise for doubting your figures. It does seem as if between 1998 and 2009 Japan has lost 629 congs.

The weird thing, is that in that time they have only lost 5000 members which urely would not merit closing 629. congs. I wonder if anyone has an answer to this.

Gambling casinos on site of the closed kingdom halls will be a good thing. It is already with no windows so not much alteration needs to be performed by the casinos.

One hall in my area is now a dentist office. I have seen halls in my region purchased by other religions to hold services. I find it weird that they would sell to what they call Babylon the Great. Guess the almighty dollar trumps anything.

The WTS real estate wheelers and dealers association sold one around this area to a (giggle) real estate company....and another to an oddball religion I never heard of. Both buildings stood vacant for years before they were bought and re-used....and the JWs were, by then, meeting in a brand new KH out in a rural setting......shared by two congregations who took out a LOAN WITH INTEREST going to the Org. Interesting...isn't it?

A loan with intrest?

Intrest?.......A loan is bad enough. The society should pay for them ouright. Don't they hold the deed to the property, if i'm not mistaken?

Intrest?......What did Jesus say about charging your brother intrest?

How much intrest is it, if you have any idea?....Either way it's still interest.

Unbelievable!.....You notice how they don't dispense this info in the watchtower?

Some one at the asylum said the watchtower is selling all its brooklyn heights properties to set up pension plans for the governing body. If not enough money they will send letters to each congregation demanding more "voluntary" contributions.
