As I said in a prior post on this thread, I actually knew people who were in the concentration camps. It isn't the rank and file we are discussing here it is the letter that Judge Rutherford had sent to Hitler that is being discussed.

I have great respect for the courage of those Jehovah's Witnesses who refused to compromise their beliefs but Judge Rutherford was not one of them and his letter makes this very clear!

Here is another site with the letter in question and some comments about the organization's attempt to deny it's existence:

http://watchtowerlies.com/watchtowerlies_101....

again this site has scans of the original handwritten letter along with the English version dictated by Judge Rutherford.

You were told wrong son. He had it custom built for the returning princes Abraham,Issac and Jacob.Though he didnt mind using it til they showed up.Well as with all other wt predictions it was false. So old red nose drunkin joe rutherford ended up dieing at the estste in total shame. The wt then silently sold it in embarrassment. Most jw's now days dont even know about that scandal. Some like you were fed a load of shitola.Do some research you'll find out the truth. But dont look to the wt for it.

No you have it wrong.

Beth Sarim was a private gift to Joseph Rutherford. It was given to him because he was very sick and needed to spend more time in a warmer climate on the advice of his doctor.

Not one single penny for its purchase came from WTS funds.

Rutherford initially declined the offer but eventually accepted it on certain conditions.

The conditions were that the property would pass to the WTS after his death and that it should be constructed for the use in God's work. That being (at the time) as a place for the resurrected ancient worthies.

So it was a private individual who gave Beth Sarim as a gift to Rutherford due to his illness and it was Rutherford who gave Beth Sarim to the WTS free of charge and who determined that any resurrected ancient worthies should have the right to reside there even before his death.

Rutherford showed himself to be a selfless and generous man.

stop it Gareth, the judge made a prediction that the faithful worthies would be resurrected in 1925 and Beth Serim was bought specifically to be their home. How stupid was that!!

You forgot to mention that Rutherford wrote and articles for the Jews while he was president WTBS. Two articles were "Jew" in November 15,1939 Consolation magazine, and "Hope for the Jew" in November 29, 1939 Consolation magazine. Also, one article appears in the October 9, 1935, Golden Age magazine "One Year of Nazi Terror. This article gave the nuimberas murdered, imprisoned and sent to concentration camps.

I already told you the truth. beth Sarim was purchased for Joseph Rutherford because he was sick. Rutherford accepted the gift on the condition that it be made available to the ancient worthies should they be resurrected.

That's the WHOLE truth.

People don't like the WHOLE truth because they want people to believe that Joseph Rutherford used donated funds to buy himself a house on the pretext of buying it for the resurrected worthies.

But we know that story is a lie.

People like ND don't like to have the lie exposed.

By the way do you know what the date was that the Beth Sarim property was purchased?

I'll leave that as a homework exercise for you.

“House of the Princes”

Brother Rutherford had a severe case of pneumonia after his release from unjust imprisonment in 1919. Thereafter, he had only one good lung. In the 1920’s, under a doctor’s treatment, he went to San Diego, California, and the doctor urged him to spend as much time as possible there. From 1929 on, Brother Rutherford spent the winters working at a San Diego residence he had named Beth-Sarim. Beth-Sarim was built with funds that were a direct contribution for that purpose.

it doesn't bother you that many b/s have been stumbled over the WTBTS prediciton of 1925 to be the year that the resurection of the faithful old would happen that meant Gareth that Armageddon would have had to come in 1925. Does that not bother you!!

It doesnt matter when. The larger point is that Abraham, Issac and Jacob didnt return like old drunkin red nose joe said. Thats the important point. Game Over!!

It bothers me that people like you, who have no clue as to what really happened in 1925 and what happened respecting Beth Sarim, promote false information about it.

It bothers me that some people had so little faith that they were so disappointed when the resurrection did not begin in 1925 that they chose to give up on Jehovah.

The desire for God to act on a certain date is a terrible basis for faith. People will always make mistakes. Your faith can not be based upon the belief that humans must be perfect. That is not true faith.

gareth the propery was perchased to give a home for the resurrected worthies, this is factual, so why deny it. Are you saying that the property was purchased for another reason, well you WTBTS would argue that!

Why are you denying this, you never have before, or are you a different Gareth.

care to answer, or do we have to get the publications that say that Rutherfore predicted the resurrection of the ancient worthies in 1925.

"Based upon the argument heretofore set forth, then, that the old order of things, the old world, is ending and is therefore passing away, and that the new order is coming in, and that 1925 shall mark the resurrection of the faithful worthies of old and the beginning of reconstruction, it is reasonable to conclude that millions of people now on earth will be still on the earth in 1925. Then, based upon the promises set forth in the divine Word, we must reach the positive and indisputable conclusion that MILLIONS NOW LIVING WILL NEVER DIE." — page 97.

I suppose that is all you have left now that the lies about Beth Sarim have been exposed and that the truth about Beth Sarim has been brought to light.

The WTS used to believe that the resurrection would happen BEFORE the end of the system. Whoopee. They were called "Bible Students" for a reason. They were LEARNING and changing their opinions as their Bible understanding grew.
