Abaddon appears in parallel with Sheol and death.
It represents the dark side of existence beyond death.
Abaddon is simply the Hebrew word for "destruction". That's all.

Who is calling you names? Sounds like you are just trying to deflect the issues again.

The bible gives clear instruction on how to spot false prophets and the Watchtower Society fits the definition precisely. That is simply an acknowledgment of the facts.

Of course they deflect. That is what false prophets do. They don't want anyone to realize what they are.

Jesus will destroy the wicked.

Therefore, according to UNchained, Jesus is not his savior.

*** 2 Thess 1:7 ... when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels in flaming fire,

*** 2 Thess 1:8 giving vengeance to those who do not know God, and to those who do not obey the Good News of our Lord Jesus,

*** 2 Thess 1:9 who will pay the penalty: eternal destruction from the face of the Lord and from the glory of his might

Jesus is not the savior of UNchained by his own words.

Shame that they have the wrong savior.

Our savior is a mighty warrior king who will destroy the wicked.

If we are liars and false prophets then so were the Apostles. This has been demonstrated numerous times on this forum.

The Apostles made statements that did not come true - Matthew 16:22.

They taught things that were not necessary - Gal 2:11-14.

They misinterpreted the bible and believe things that were not true.- Luke 24:21

Lied and denied that they were a disciple of Jesus - John 17:25

Yet Jehovah used them extensively even with all of their faults.

So carry on slinging mud because it doesn't effect those that are true Christians who can think and reason.

The apostles did not preach a religion or organizaiton for salvation, they taught the gospel.

God used King David in a mighty way, yet he was a bad man. He used Abraham in a mighty way, yet he let a king have his own wife to save his life. Samson was used by God in a mighty way, but he used a prostitute named Delilah. God uses people all the time for his purposes, but he does not use men to teach others lies. When a religion or organization tells you to come to them to be saved, that is a LIE, a huge LIE. We do not go to any one but JESUS CHRIST to be saved. The bible NEVER says to place your salvation in the hands of men, or a organizaiton or even a religion. the bible tells us to place our salvation in the hands of the one that Jehovah sent for us, his son Jesus Christ and only HIM.

What name calling and mud slinging .It has been pointed out that WT opinions cannot be trusted and have been proven wrong over and over so with that in mind WHY would anyone believe when they say our Lord and Savior is king of the demons of the abyss even that belief is a flip flop .Isn't it the WTS that says to people examine your religion well we examined theirs as well to see if we should believe THEM and what did we find blunders and flip flops not once , not twice but over and over and over spanning over 100 plus years .Jesus is KIng of Kings and Lord of Lords and he is called by many names NONE of them are ABADDON .Seems it is ok to tell others to examine their beliefs but off limits to examine the WTS'S , THEY SUGGEST THIS EXAMINANTION TEST so long as it is not being used to determine should we believe them .

Page after page of the Watchtower Society worshipers tickling each others ears and yet the fact remains:

Not a single one of them has had the courage to declare Abaddon to be their lord and king.

Tells you all you need to know about the strength of their convictions.

Name calling and mud slinging and character attacks are the favorites of JWs here. If you tell them that you are no longer a JW, they will go out of their way to attack you in one way or another. But they are perfect and do no wrong. ;)

Examination is something everyone should do with their religion. Learn where the teachings come from, and compare it to the bibles teachings. If you find more than one wrong, LEAVE! That is why I left the JW religion.

Jesus Christ is our savior, he is not some evil person waiting to pounce on mankind and kill anyone who does not call themselves JW's. For anyone to think that a person will be saved because of a religion or organization only shows they have never examined their beliefs.

Wrong. Much of Paul's preaching was about how to organize Christian congregations. What rules needed to be obeyed. How elders and servants should be appointed etc...

Jehovah's Witnesses do the same.

Just as the Apostles built congregations to bring people to salvation through Jesus Christ, so also do Jehovah's Witnesses.

This is what Karen is misrepresenting.

Everyone should examne what they are being taught and compare it to what the Bible really says BUT when one examines the WT doctrines they find a problem they cannot make up their mind and flip flop[ and blunder and lead people away from Jesus and point them to men , men who cannot save them or even know from one decade to another what their BELIEFS MAY BE.

I am not misrepresenting anything Aneirin, it is you who is doing that. You say that JWs never say to place your salvation in the hands of men, yet you teach that if a person is not associated with the organizaiton of JWs they will not be saved. Who is that placing your salvations in? It is most certainly not Jesus Christ, but the organization of JW's. The bible tells us to place our hope for salvation in JESUS hands.

Congregations were organized on a local level, with a mumber of men who guided them in matters of the Lord or bible.(Heb. 13:17) They were not all controlled by one group of men on a world wide level. The GB aka F&DS DO NOT do it as they did in Jesus day.

Other churches have organized ways of forming their church, of appointing Elders, Deacons, how rules need to be set and obeyed. Jehovahs witnesses do not have the patent on those things. My church teaches me to give my life over to Jesus Christ whom the Father sent to be my savior. I am a Christian, not a religion, not an organization, I am a child of Jesus Christ. This is what the bible tells us to be, not a religious name.

LOL, no it wasn't. Almost the entirety of Paul's message, and that includes the absolutely entirety of his preaching, was about Christ crucified on the cross.

The issues of determining who qualified to serve and the like were side issues that had very little attention.

Salvation by the grace of God was almost the entirety of what Paul spoke about.

That's a lie. Your religion tells people they have to join and support your corporation in order to earn points with God or they will be condemned to death.
