Yes.
We also publicly deny that the Earth is flat.

We tell the truth.

Did this system of thing end in 1975 like Bro. Franz said in a 1963 assembly?

Did God change the identity of the 'faithful and discreet slave' in 2012?

Obviously the system did not end in 1975 but, I cannot comment on anything spoken of I 1973 as I was not there nor have I ever heard any recording of the same.

Hey FN,

I hope all is well with you and yours, man.

This is the latest from the society regarding the end times.

They explained their position well.

Nothing about 1975, because their wasn't anyhthing clearly stated about 1975 back in the 70's.

(WT quote)

Jehovah’s Witnesses have had wrong expectations about when the end would come. Like Jesus’ first-century disciples, we have sometimes looked forward to the fulfillment of prophecy ahead of God’s timetable.(Luke 19:11; Acts 1:6; 2 Thessalonians 2:1, 2) We agree with the sentiment of longtime Witness A. H. Macmillan, who said:“I learned that we should admit our mistakes and continue searching God’s Word for more enlightenment.”

Why, then, do we continue to highlight the nearness of the end? Because we take seriously Jesus’ words:“Keep looking, keep awake.” The alternative, to be found “sleeping” by Jesus, would prevent us from gaining his favor.(Mark 13:33, 36) Why?

Consider this example: A lookout in a fire tower might see what he thinks is a wisp of smoke on the horizon and sound what proves to be a false alarm. Later, though, his alertness could save lives.

Likewise, we have had some wrong expectations about the end. But we are more concerned with obeying Jesus and saving lives than with avoiding criticism. Jesus’ command to “give a thorough witness” compels us to warn others about the end.—Acts 10:42.

We believe that even more important than focusing on when the end will come, we must be confident that it will come, and we must act accordingly. We take seriously the words of Habakkuk 2:3, which says:“Even if [the end] should delay [compared to what you thought], keep in expectation of it; for it will without fail come true. It will not be late.”

(unquote)

==========

We should be happy that the end hasn't come yet. More lives can be saved.

LOL! Hilarious!

The question was about an assembly in 1963 and you throw their latest explanation out there like it's supposed to answer the question?

A true witness of Jehovah, knows that Jesus is the son of God, and therefore shares divine nature with the Father..that is why Isaiah says he will be called " mighty god"

Because Jesus sits at the tight hand of the Father in heaven..and God works through him in everything

Let's break this down.
Here is a copy paste from the 1970 WT 5/1

) However, Bible chronology which indicates that Adam was created in the fall of the year 4026 B.C.E. would bring us down to the year 1975 C.E. as the date marking 6,000 years of human history with yet 1,000 years to come for Christ’s Kingdom rule. So whatever the date for the end of this system, it is clear that the time left is reduced, with only approximately six years left until the end of 6,000 years of human history.

MM:Ok here they say that using math they have figured that 1975 is the end of the 6000 yrs of human history. Followed by Christ's 1000 yr Kingdom rule. Stating only 6 years left until the end of the 6000 yr of human history.

(1 Cor. 7:29) This corroborates the understanding of Jesus’ words that the generation alive in 1914 with the outbreak of World War I would not pass away until the end comes.

MM: Now the reference stating that "in Jesus own words" (so take it seriously) the generation alive in 1914 would not pass away until the end comes.

Only a short time, then, remains for persons who love righteousness to show God that they want to be in his “ark” of protection and live to see the blessings of the new system of things.—Matt. 24:34-42.

MM: So now only a "short time" (the previously mentioned 6 years) remains for persons who love righteousness to show God ........

So they said. Do the math, 1975 is the end of the 6000 yrs.
Christ's 1000 yr rule follows that.
6 yrs left to prove yourselves and get in the ark of protection to live to the new system.

WHAT, WHAT, isn't understood?
and this is just one article.

1974 WT 12/15

29 On Sunday afternoon, July 26, 1931, at the international convention of the I.B.S.A. in Columbus, Ohio, there came the heartfelt adoption of the Resolution in favor of embracing the New Name, Jehovah’s witnesses. Thereafter this Resolution was adopted by congregations around the world that thenceforth identified their religious organization as Jehovah’s witnesses. To advertise the divine name still further, on March 1, 1939, some months before World War II broke out, the official magazine of the Witnesses came forth with the new legend,“The Watchtower Announcing Jehovah’s Kingdom.”

And now, as the critical year of 1975 enters,

it may well be asked: Has the Most High God of prophecy made a name for himself? The answer is self-evident, Yes! By whom? Not by Christendom or by Jewry, but by Jehovah’s Christian witnesses!

MM: The what? Critical year of 1975! What's so critical about that? This is when they said the 6000yr human history ends and Christ's rule of 1000 yrs begins.

It wasn't until October of 1975 before they started the hardcore backtracking.

Adding now that there was time between Adam's creation and the end of the creative day, etc.

There is always an excuse, never an admission of error and a following apology,(which would go a long way).

There were many articles, many talks, demonstrations etc. that made it clear that they wanted people to understand and believe that 1975 was the end of the 6000 yrs and would be followed by Christ's 1000 yr rule.

It's human error, it's just that they won't admit they are human, but consistantly and unwaveringly insist that they are hand picked by Christ and led by Holy Spirit.

Christ nor the Holy Spirit as described in the bible would not misled people that way and would not look kindly on an organization that misled people with such a financial gain to boot.

This just out from the WTBTS:

The years 1967 through 1975 never existed in human history. You may have thought you lived through them or were born in those years but THEY DID NOT EXIST! Any disagreement with the WTBTS will end in being disfellowshipped for apostasy.

Is the following accurate and truthful?...

Before his death, Jesus promised that “the faithful and discreet slave” would provide Jesus’ followers with spiritual “food at the proper time.”(Matthew 24:45)
The remnant of the 144,000 anointed ones make up that slave class today. Through them, Jehovah has indeed provided spiritual food in abundance.

Today, the faithful and discreet slave is made up of the remnant of Kingdom heirs. These are anointed Christians, the remaining ones on earth of the 144,000, who “belong to Christ” and who are part of “Abraham’s seed.”
