Yes.

They give them magazines that help them become JW's if they believe what is in the magazine.

If they don't believe what is in the magazine they are also helped because they then become a Return Visit for the JW who tries to talk them into studying a Watchtower Society publication so they can start believeing what is in the magazine.

UNchained must have been too busy to fill in the rest. They also help those people realize that everyone who loves them is from the devil, and the only way to be free is to join their little club, disown your friends and family and accept a spiritual lobotomy

No Cutie, they only help the 'brothers and sisters'.

Thankyou.

Yes, I was busy on another thread asking a JW on this forum some questions.

He says that JW's teach only the truth and invited questions from the audience :)

He may end up hearing his name announced from the platform of his kingdom hall as no longer being a Jehovah's Witness if he really researches some of the questions he is going to be asked on that thread.

Unless you think calling the "of this world," or "members of Christendom" is helpful?

They think that poverty and hunger are signs of the end times. Best thing to do is try to convert non jws, so that they have a chance at food in the new system of things. Helping people now is a waste, because this system of things is DOOMED and there is nothing humans can do to stop it.

WTBTS has zero social justice mission.

Like all apocalyptic cults this organization is a threat to the spiritual and mental health of humanity on planet Earth especially the little ones.

Their rationale is that they are warning people about their wrathful blood thirsty god that Judge Rutherford created based on occult information and this is all they need to do to consider themselves doing a Christian work.

They call themselves Christian yet deny the OMNIPRESENT GOD of Israel that is at the core of the teachings of the historical Jesus and by so doing deny the quality of unconditional LOVE of the true GOD of Israel as well.

They say they are proclaiming GOD'S name throughout the earth but when the governing body found out they had the wrong name they said it was OK to continue telling people door to door that it was the name of their one true god as it has been in common usage for so long.

Yet the pagan trinity doctrine has been in common usage even longer and they have taken to actually modifying any scripture that points towards the OMNIPRESENT GOD of Israel and have altered them to point towards the primitive anthropomorphism of Judge Rutherford claiming these scriptures were snuck in there to support the trinity that has also been in common usage longer!

While both the pagan triune and the false name are both issues that deflect from true Christianity that have been in common usage, the organization decides it's OK to ignore the one and focus on the other with deceptive practices of bible translating to strengthen their proof that their god is the right god!

The governing body of this organization has been discovered doing so many non-Christian acts and caught in so many lies, the fact that there is still a rank and file that follows them is a testament to the power of brainwashing or hypnosis that has been achieved by this cult!

While there may be instances of personal decisions to help their neighbor as real Christians are urged to do, the governing body emphasizes they are no part of a world that is going to be destroyed any day now and social issues that could be remedied are blamed on Satan and otherwise ignored.

If a young person in the organization were to try to become socially active through their school they would be in danger of being disfellowshiped.

Needed human resources that could be used for meaningful spiritual growth are diverted to perpetuating this myth based insanity.

If you want to help humanity as an individual Get informed as to the situation we are in due to the many false religions all based on the Roman hoax and help in restoring true Christianity which is wonderfully demonstrated in the parable of the Good Samaritan in Luke 10:25-37 :

"25 On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus.“Teacher,” he asked,“what must I do to inherit eternal life?”

26 “What is written in the Law?” he replied.“How do you read it?”

27 He answered,“‘LOVE the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind and LOVE your neighbor as yourself.”

28 “You have answered correctly,” Jesus replied.“Do this and you will live.

29 But he wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus,“And who is my neighbor?"

30 In reply Jesus said:“A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he was attacked by robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead.

31 A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side.

32 So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side.

33 But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him.

34 He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him.

35 The next day he took out two denarii[c] and gave them to the innkeeper.‘Look after him,’ he said,‘and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.’

36 “Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?”

37 The expert in the law replied,“The one who had mercy on him.”

Jesus told him,“Go and do likewise.”

Notice that no governing body is involved, in fact even being a Christian is not emphasized in the specific choice of a Samaritan in the parable that emphasized entirely works rather than dogma or doctrine.

We all need to get informed as to the seriousness of the problem of religions that perpetuate the fragmentation of humanity and get involved in restoring the Christianity of the historical Jesus to humanity!

GOD is LOVE. WE are ALL ONE WITH GOD, even the unloving!

Greetings,

Thank you for your question:

#QUESTION Do Jehovah's Witnesses do anything for the community?

Yes they run a number of charitable a disaster relief associations, as well as litaracy programs.

LITARACY PROGRAMS

The National Office for Adult Literacy (a department of the Ministry of Education) in Burundi, Central Africa for example, formally recognised the the Witnesses' literacy program awarding four of the program's teachers for "the hard work put into teaching others to read." Similar programs are run in other countries such as Brazil and Mozambique.

Jehovah's Witnesss' bible education work has helped countless millions to discontinue destructive or abusive lifestyles that ultimately put a strain on limited health and mental care facilities.

**Professor Elio Masferrer, researcher at the National School of Anthropology & History commented that the Witnesses help people who "suffer severe family crises, such as rape, family abuse, alcohoism, and drug addiction"

Thanks to the Jehovah's Witness programs many individuals have also successfully stopped abusing alcohol, drugs and ceased illegal activities that damage local and national communities such as gang warfare, prostitution and white collar crime.

DISASTER RELIEF PROGRAMS

Jehovah's Witnesses have also been recognised for their humanitarian work. Their charitable association "Aid Afrique" for example has sent food, clothing, and medical supplies to countries such as Congo and more recently Jehovah's Witnesses were amongst the first to provide practical help to the Haitian people following the devastating earthquake in that region.

Nope, and they rarely help other Jehovah's Witnesses either.
Jehovah's Witnesses are told to rely on the "government they are no part of" for charity and help.

They are supreme hypocrites

The "literacy" programs are run by those who are barely literate themselves.
It is only to immerse the completely uneducated by submersing them in WBTS propaganda.

It is only done to benefit the wBTS, not the illiterate

Literacy
For decades we have organized literacy programs throughout the world for people who have had little or no opportunity to receive formal schooling.

In Brazil, Sirley, a middle-aged teacher and one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, made it a weekly practice to convert her living room into a classroom. At about 2 o’clock, Amélia, an 82-year-old student arrives. Already she is reading better than many youngsters in high school.

Amélia is following in the steps of the more than 60 senior citizens who have graduated from the free literacy classes that Sirley is conducting in her hometown. Sirley’s volunteer work was featured in the Brazilian newspaper Jornal do Sudoeste. After noting that she has made “a huge contribution to community life,” the newspaper article said that Sirley’s method of teaching the elderly is so effective that “after just 120 hours of classes, they are writing letters, reading newspapers, and coping with numbers and other day-to-day tasks.” Literacy classes conducted in hundreds of Kingdom Halls throughout Brazil have already helped more than 22,000 adults in that country to learn to read and write.

Similar programs of Jehovah’s Witnesses have yielded success in other parts of the world. In the African country of Burundi, for example, the National Office for Adult Literacy (a department of the Ministry of Education) was so pleased with the results of the Witnesses’ literacy program that it gave an award to four of the program’s teachers for “the hard work put into teaching others to read.” Government officials are especially impressed that 75 percent of those who learned to read and write were adult women—a group that usually shies away from attending such programs.

On November 17, 2000, the Association of Congolese and African Journalists for the Development (AJOCAD) in the Democratic Republic of Congo presented the Certificate of Excellence to Jehovah’s Witnesses for “their contribution to the development of the Congolese individual [through] the education and the teaching contained in their publications.” In commenting on the award, the Kinshasa newspaper Le Phare said:“It is difficult to find a Congolese in whose hands the Watchtower and Awake! magazines or other publications published by Jehovah’s Witnesses have not passed.” As noted by AJOCAD, the publications of Jehovah’s Witnesses have proved beneficial to a large portion of the Congolese population.

Years ago I asked the entire BOE to heklp me with finacial support for a very faithful elderly sister whose husband had died several years earlier.

She had no living relatives because she and her husband had decided not to have children in 'this system' when they were married back in the 1930's.

Her only sister had died and her husband was an only child.

They were both 3rd or 4th generation Jehovah's Witnesses and her only income was the minimum that Social Security paid.

The BOE told me that she needed to contact the local Department of Human Services and they would help her.

I went away shaking my head.

I should have had enough sense to realise the JW's have it all backwards from what Jesus taught but I was too indoctrinated and brainwashed from constant 'meeting attendance' to see it for many more years.
