And of course the congregation is behind him 100%!

I love how he said he would continue to do Jehovah's will, I'm sure he meant with his next victim!

eagleeye2, this is simply a case of domestic abuse regarding a rank-and-file member. This is simply some two-bit, media organ publishing from Tahlequah, Oklahoma. I would take the story's authenticity at face value and nothing more.

Since when does a rank-and-file Catholic or Protestant rape anyone and it makes headlines in any media outlet?

This is simply internet garbage and nothing more, compared to publishing standards of reputable media outlets.

'Predator' priest sentenced to two years for sexual assault
ELAINE KEOGH
Sat, Nov 10, 2012
A priest who sexually abused boys in the Diocese of Meath, including at two parochial houses, has been jailed for two years at Trim Circuit Criminal Court.
Fr Raymond Brady (77) from Baltrasna, Oldcastle, Co Meath, acted “like a predator”, said Judge Michael O’Shea.
Brady admitted indecently assaulting 10 boys – some of them brothers – at different locations including the parochial houses in Drumconrath and Kilbeg. He also admitted attempted indecent assault on another boy. Assaults also took place in a caravan in Bettystown and in the priest’s car as he took the boys to and from funeral Masses.
Most of the victims were altar boys and they were aged between 11 and 17.
The court heard that some of the boys were abused as they sat on the priest’s knee in the sitting room of their family home while their mother was in the kitchen making tea.
Another boy told Det Garda Bryan Moroney he woke in his bedroom to find the priest standing there – Brady knew the boy was on his own in the house and had let himself in before sexually assaulting him.
Two of the now middle-aged men read victim impact statements to the court. One said he still went to Mass and “it maddens me the way we are asked to pray for the church but nobody is ever asked to pray for the abused”.
He said he met Bishop of Meath Michael Smith several times but he never spoke to him about what happened.“I want everybody to know what Fr Brady has done,” he said.
Investigation
The abuse came to light when one of the victims told a priest in Co Louth who immediately contacted the Garda.
Det Garda Moroney of Kells led the investigation. When he interviewed Brady, he said, the priest accepted the assaults were “motivated by sexual gratification”. Brady gave evidence and apologised “to anybody I have hurt or harmed in any way”.
The court heard he stopped abusing in the 1970s after “an encounter” with a teenage girl who was the victim of abuse,“who opened his eyes to the impact of sexual abuse on a child for the first time”. Senior counsel Padraig Dwyer, defending, said Brady has been suspended for a “considerable period of time from engaging in any activities in connection with the church”, and that he would be laicised after the court case.
Passing sentence, Judge O’Shea said,“I am satisfied he acted as a predator.” He said the sexual abuse could only be described as “humiliating, horrific and disgusting. He took their childhood and innocence from them.”
He took the guilty pleas into account and imposed the maximum two-year jail term on each of the 11 charges; they will run concurrently.

You are laughable.

Instead of condemning your compatriot in the faith, you say "Look! Look! Other people do it too!", hoping that people will not stay on topic.

Why the distract and deny tactics? Is it too much for you to admit that people in your religion are imperfect?

Pastor sentenced to 330 years in prison for molesting boys

A pastor was sentenced Friday to 330 years in prison for sexually assaulting five boys between the ages of 9 and 15 in his Lake Forest apartment between 2007 and 2011.

Oscar D. Perez, 69, was an Apostolic pastor and bishop at Iglesia Antigua, a church that rented space at St. George’s Episcopalian Church in Laguna Hills.

Perez befriended various families at the church, enlisted children to help with church services, and eventually began to invite the victims over to his apartment, sometimes for sleepovers, prosecutors said.

Perez was arrested and charged in the assault of two victims in September 2011 after a boy told his mother of the abuse. Further investigation yielded three more apparent victims.

The pastor was was found guilty in July on 22 felony counts of lewd acts upon a child under 14, four felony counts of lewd acts on a child and sentencing enhancement allegations for lewd acts against multiple victims.

Police: Mich. pastor killed fiancee's daughter to fulfill fantasy

By The Associated Press

BROOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich.-- As police frantically worked to figure out how his fiancée's 24-year-old daughter had vanished, a Michigan pastor who had turned to God to shed his violent past went to his flock with a request: pray for her.

But all along, authorities say, he knew the sordid truth about where the young mother was.
The pastor, ex-convict John D. White, later confessed to killing Rebekah Gay to fulfill a fantasy of necrophilia, police said Friday. White drank four or five beers before going to the woman's mobile home and repeatedly striking her head with a mallet and strangling her with a zip tie, according to court documents.

Police said White stripped her dead body but does not remember if he carried out his sexual fantasy. After dumping the body early Wednesday, he returned to Gay's home and dressed her 3-year-old son in his Halloween costume, then later dropped him off with the boy's father.

"He kept saying he's a bad person, he's a pastor, he felt bad for the people in his church.... I don't recall him being real remorseful at all with regard to the victim or anything else," Isabella County Sheriff Leo Mioduszewski told The Associated Press.

"He just basically said he was attracted to her, thought she was a very cute girl. It's a crazy, tragic situation," the sheriff added.

...

White was engaged to Gay's mother and regularly watched her young son while she worked, said Donna Houghton, a church elder who had a role in hiring White three years ago to be pastor at Christ Community Fellowship. Church members, she said, were "absolutely floored" by the allegations.

"I protested his innocence until I had the absolute news that he confessed. Then he had no leg to stand on," she told the AP.

Before his arrest Thursday, White called Houghton to ask that she contact other church members and start a prayer chain for Gay, who still was missing at the time.

"He was pretty shook up. He said the police were giving him a hard time," Houghton said.

White confessed that day after being told the woman's body was likely to deteriorate in the cold, wet weather, Mioduszewski said. He said his fantasy had been fueled by pornographic videos.

'Contrite' over criminal past

Houghton said the congregation was aware of White's criminal past when he joined the church. He was released from prison in 2007, after serving nearly 12 years for manslaughter in the death of a 26-year-old woman in Kalamazoo County, according to the Michigan Corrections Department.
He had previously been sentenced to probation for choking and stabbing a 17-year-old Battle Creek girl in 1981.

"He was absolutely contrite," said Houghton, 76. "All kinds of people turn around and meet the Lord and they are a different person. He was doing a lot of good in the community.... He was doing a lot of good and Satan did not want him doing good and Satan got to him."

She said White got on her roof and cleaned her neglected gutters last week, a chore that inspired his Sunday talk. She recalled him saying during that sermon that "we need to check closely the seeds we sprout in ourselves. Nothing can be hidden from God."

At the trailer park on Friday, pictures of pumpkins and other Halloween decorations were still on Gay's home. Park resident Matt Brown said White regularly cut through his yard to visit Gay's trailer that was one street away.

Brown, 21, said White seemed to have scratches on his face when he told residents Wednesday that Gay was missing and that her car had been found outside a bar.

"It looked like he was in a struggle," Brown recalled.

Records in U.S. District Court in San Diego show that a James Jae Lee was sentenced in August 2003 to 18 months in federal prison for trying to smuggle an illegal immigrant in a hidden compartment in a car through the San Ysidro Port of Entry.

The gunman who stormed the Discovery Channel building in Maryland on Wednesday and was shot to death following a four-hour hostage standoff with police wrote a San Diego federal judge seven years ago that he was a loner whose life was “a nightmare.”
Records in San Diego federal court show that a James Jae Lee was sentenced in August 2003 to 18 months in federal prison for trying to smuggle an illegal immigrant in a hidden compartment in a car through the San Ysidro Port of Entry.
In a letter to the judge on the eve of his 2003 sentencing, Lee outlined a life that he said “was a nightmare for me.”
“As to any friends, I have none,” he wrote.“I have been and always be a loner.”
And in a passage that seems eerily ominous in light of Wednesday’s events, he mused about how his life would turn out.
“I don’t know if my life will end with a happy ending, but all I ask is for an ending that is not in prison,” Lee wrote.
The spelling of the middle name in the 2003 court records is different from the James Jay Lee identified as the gunman Wednesday. But the James Lee prosecuted seven years ago has the same date of birth June 1, 1967 as the one arrested for disorderly conduct outside the Discovery Channel’s Silver Spring headquarters in 2008.
Police have not formally identified the gunman in Wednesday’s hostage standoff, but federal law enforcement officials have said he was James J. Lee, 43.
Lee spent time in Hillcrest and downtown San Diego before moving to the Washington, D.C., area in 2007, according to his online postings.
At 1 p.m. Wednesday, he stormed the cable channel’s Silver Spring offices with at least one explosive device strapped to his body and held three people hostage at gunpoint.
The hostages were unhurt. Most of the 1,900 people who work in the building were able to make it out before it ended.
Montgomery County Police Chief Thomas Manger said tactical officers moved in after police monitoring building security cameras saw him pull out a handgun and point it at a hostage.
An explosive device on the gunman’s body detonated when police shot him.
Police were trying to determine whether two boxes and two backpacks the gunman had also contained explosives.
NBC News reported that after its producers called Discovery’s general number, a man identifying himself as James J. Lee got on the phone and said:“I have several bombs strapped to my body ready to go off. I have a device that if I drop it, if I drop it, it will ... explode,”
He said he built the bombs in about three weeks.“I did a lot of research. I had to experiment,” he said.
In his 2003 three-page letter to U.S. District Judge Barry Ted Moskowitz, Lee wrote he was estranged from his family and stayed away from them for his own “sanity.”
“After 36 years of my life,” he wrote,“I have nothing to show for it.”
But his younger brother, Aaron Lee, did write a brief letter to Moskowitz.
He said James Lee was loved by his family, was nonviolent and did not smoke, drink or do drugs. Aaron Lee said his brother had been “a devoted Jehovah Witness for a decade.”

in my opinion they are worse. Maybe not in the way of numbers but certainly in the way they treat victims and their families.
It's pretty sick when the b/s support the perve instead of the victims.

Thanks to the many news stories, those of us who had it happen to us have documented proof it certainly does happen and more often then many here will acknowledge.

You right when you say JW's are not perfect, I agree and will take it a step further by saying they are no better then any other religion out there.

It is simple....and EE's mini-tantrums are living proof of this:

The GB have arrogantly and smugly taught their followers that those in the WT cult are far better than, holier than, more pious than and more approved by God than ANY other belief system on the earth.

The WTS defenders get majorly ticked off and supremely vengeful the moment anyone presents proof that they are no better than anyone else....just look and see the immense piles of putrid garbage that EE has so gleefully posted.

I certianly do not demand perfection from anyone.

All I want is honesty out of the JW's that post here.

EE spends a great deal of her time here burying news about JW's in C&P about other religions? Why is that?

The JW's go around telling everyone that they are the only ones with the truth about God, the only ones who will make it through the last destruction of wickedness, the only ones who are holy. They claim that all other religions are filth and will be destroyed. Yet, they have no more proof than any other religion that states they have the truth. God didn't come down in a burning bush and tell anybody that JW's are his chosen people, did he? did I somehow miss that?

According to the pre-sentence report, Begay asked the court to consider his plea for parole so “that I can keep on doing Jehovah’s will.” He said he attends services as a Jehovah’s Witness every Sunday and participates in theocratic ministry school on Thursdays. Three fellow congregation members who said they have known Begay for one to two years wrote the court as character witnesses for Begay.

Begay said his plan, if he had been given probation, would be to continue living in Pawnee with his wife.

The officers who prepared the pre-sentence report recommended Begay receive a sentence of incarceration based on the jury’s recommendation and receive post-incarceration supervision from the DOC.

Begay’s wife, Terry Begay, is facing felony perjury charges in Cherokee County for allegedly falsely testifying during her husband’s trial in September. She was arrested in the courtroom after jurors had gone to deliberate her husband’s case, and later pleaded not guilty.
