Jesus is no longer on the cross, he was taken down, and then what happened to his body? THAT was the initial question. You said he died physically! So he died physically. Leave it there for now. His body died "physically" but then what?

Adam was resurrected on the first resurrection when Jesus died on the cross and went down into hell and preached to the dead and took the keys of heaven away from Satan.
If Adam stayed a righteous man he was resurrected and interred into heaven.
If not he stayed in hell.
After the fall of Adam the Gates of heaven were closed until Jesus came and suffered for the sins of the world.
