Compare how the situation in Syria started, with the situation in Egypt! The Egyptians were not supplied weapons and ammunition etc. to attack their own army. Neither did the Egyptian army hammered and bombarded their own people. People stood their ground quite peacefully and threw out their government.
Back in 1986, in the Philippines, the flower power brought down the dictator Marco, when people stood up against the tanks and the soldiers, peacefully.
In the case of Syria, it is not the people power that is standing peacefully. All bad and crook elements, including fighters of various groups like Al-Qaeda, etc are in this. Even the Kurds are in this. You can see hooligans in all this. And this is not happening all over Syria.
This is a different scenario. More than 650,000 Iraqis were killed during the war under lies and deceit on Iraq. Did the world and the press cry?!8,000 dead is no big deal in this case.
Free Syrian Army is full of rogues. If they had the safety of immensely crowded towns and people in their minds, they should go out and fight the army, not by hiding in densely populated areas.
Israel was bombing buildings in the crowded areas of Gaza. Right? And Syria is doing the same.
The Russians, the Chinese and many others know what is really happening, so the Veto! I think Syrian army should finish these rogues, who are destroying a country, which has always been far more secular than other Arab despots.
If the current Syrian government collapses, you guys live with a subservient and impotent government like the Palestinians have.
The whole idea is to destroy Syria or weaken it considerably because it is an ally of Iran and Hizbullah, and the proxy Arab despots can control the lives of Syrians as they are controlling the lives of the Palestinian pawns.
hypothetically speaking, If Americans stood out against their military, attacking it with weapons, RPGs etc, do you think the US military will submit to the Free Americans Army?
The name Free Syrian Army says it all. Power hungry brutes.
That is my personal view and you and others can disagree.
Wake up, please!
yes , you can take 'your ' name back. I can do better things than calling people names.

First , You can't compare protests in Egypt to those in Syria,Egyptian army did not kill Egyptians but Syrian army did and is doing, but you are right about comparing Syrian army to the Israeli. they both do not care about the lives of innocent civilians. If the so called israel is doing so because they consider the people in Gaza enemy , can you tell me if the Syrian regime has the same idea about the Syrians?

Second, no matter what is the government in Gaza is like , it's elected by people and they support it.

Third, I find it really 'weird' you talk about what if US bla bla.. no way. US is a democratic country presidents come through election not because they inherited 'the country' from a dead father, so no way Americans are let to fight the president they elected. Unlike the Americans, Syrians never said they word ..never choose who rule them .. now they want this right even if they have to fight to get it
Time of humiliation has gone for ever.

Other thing , you talk about Iran and Hezbullah. Iran should stop interfering in Arab business and hezbullah is just a gang. Don't think there is any Arab who believe about the 'comedy' of threats to 'the so called Israel. All Arabs know , they are friends.

you walk up!

What a joke! we all know that the Syrian president's grand father asked France not to end occupation in Syria. he wanted them to stay.

Then, who told you we want western countries to interfere . we don't want them nor we want Iran or Russia or China. If the regime were not supported by foreigners, it would not be able to stand all that long time on face of most Syrians who rejected it.

we better mind your business.

The way you talk about Syria and what you think is actually happening makes me wonder how you'd feel if the citizens in Saudi Arabia decided they were tired of the Sunni rulers and started an armed uprising just like the revolts by Syrians. Your rulers are the same family run government like Syria.

It is not true. Syrians decided to fight back to protect themselves. Syrians who are murdered by regime are not all fighters. Some are just protesters who wanted reformation. The regime never agreed to make 'real' reformations . Now, it's too late to even ask for reformation not after all the destruction and the killing the regime committed. now they want the regime to get out.
Western media deceives people. Do you know why? because they want the regime, the best friend for the so called israel, to stay.
Those who support the regime , do out of fear. you know about conditions in Syria from lying media . I know from Syrians themselves , so stop the lies.
What you are saying is exactly word by word what Western media is saying. So if Western media deceives, you are deceived. We that oppose you picked up our information from different other sources, not the Western media. The West does not want Assad to stay, no way. He was never anybody’s friend, he was independent, and did not listen to them. The West has Government composed from Syrians living abroad, waiting in Turkey to replace Assad. But many hope that Syria disintegrates, and Israel can take a piece of a pie. You better leave Syria alone. President Assad is the only one who could save it; and then changes will come gradually.

you are ignorant. my country is kingdom, Syria is not. Al-Asad family has no right to rule Syria.

Don't wonder..never think. I save you the time and effort.Saudis will NEVER protest again their government. We love our king and we appreciate the laws.

How can Sunni citizens get tired of Sunni rulers or why you are mentioning 'sect ' here?
All Saudis are treated equally even the minority shia. they don't face the discrimination that the Sunna in Syria, even majority , face , but again it s not just Sunna who suffer in Syria. Every citizen does.
If you want to think about the conflict in Syria as 'a civil war' or as a 'sectarianism war' as the western media tries to show, you are wrong. Alawites , whom the president bashar belong to, is less than 13% of Syrian population , the majority are Sunna, so the president or the western can't rely on this sectarianism to call it 'civil war' it is a war between Syrians who ant democracy , of all sects and races, and the regime and its supporters, whether they support it out of love or fear.

if the majority protesters are sunni, it's normal because the majority of Syrians are sunnah, more than 70 %, and if the regime does not care about souls of citizens because they are of other sect , this regime must go..

I pick up my information from all sources and mostly from Syrians themselves and not just Sunni Syrian, which anyway are a good source since they are the majority, but also from Christian Syrians.

I agree with you. i never want this war to start. Arab countries don't want it and that is why the are still seeking for diplomatic answer. If the regime is serious about a solution, they should know they can't stay in authority anymore after all the killing and destruction. it is not hard then to sit with opposition , without any foreign country interfering, and agree on a solution. But the regime does not care . the regime does not care about the deaths and the ruins as if they destroying enemy not citizens.

Trisha you can simply know my feeling just by making substitution if the citizens in US, let's say minority muslims, get tired with secular laws and decided an armed uprising in your country, what is your feeling?

Throw the Muslims in jail, and throw away the key.
Mohammed's Shria law is from Satan and has no God given right to rule over any one.
All Muslims should be sent to live in your country Scent.
Why don't you start a Muslim fund to raise money and bring out all Muslims living in free countries back to your country?

Hello, ignorant fool

This is a good topic. We are not discussing Jesus' Sharialess (lawless) religion Christianity and her absurd triune God, an abomination and a monstrosity, which was given to the church by Satan.

This is a discussion on politics, not the twisted, distorted and misreported life of a good man, the Son of Mary.

Go back to "Who is allah?" and "Corruption of the Bible" threads and don't litter this thread.

I have made my point and Istand by that. Our discussion is not about Islam. We are discussing Arabs, Muslims and international politics. Syria is a victim of politics, not only from the three major Western powers but also from all Arab States in the region.

While the West was getting rid of the despots, the Muslims continued to show respect to the despots. They never stood up against them.

The West had massive revolutions, civil wars and after the killings, came reconciliation and they advanced.

Iran had the revolution but it rid the evil out and while Iraq was degraded and destroyed, Iran built up her power.

The Arab world and the Muslim world as well, needs massive revolutions and lots of blood has to be shed. And this is what the drama queens and softies are trying to prevent.

Oliver Cromwell wrote to you: "Thats correct you Idiot the British Colonialist divided and Ruled,so why the Hell are you helping those Neo Colonialists to do it again?Assad is a Arab Nationalist thats why those bastards don't like him,and those clowns who rule your country are a joke, they collaborate with the Imperialists and the Zionists,"

I agree with him and his assessment.

See, Scent, there are about 350 million Arabs now, who have no influence, no power, no say, no wisdom, no foresight and nothing but only oil and money.

All standing disunited.

Look at the EU! They are the same Europeans, who were at each other's throats just 70 plus years ago. And no look at them! No more Cowboy movies, no more "sitting Bull", no more "Comanches", no more 'Guns of Navarone' and no more ridiculing each other.

GGC is a joke! The Arab League is a joke.

Saddam was also an Arab nationalist and he had also wanted to unite the 250 million Arabs at that time and was destroyed by those for whom he fought. And so is Asad.

The Western powers have used Iran as a bogey-man to keep all these Shaikhdoms and kingdoms in their hands and these clueless fools trust them. Qatar, Bahrain, Sudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, Oman and others have provided them airbases and naval bases, while Israel has provided none.

Ask yourself: Why can't they all be based in israel, if she is their best ally??? Distance is of no concern. Right?

All the rich oil kingdom want the poor Arab countries to be their pawns, just like the Plaestinians are their pawns.

They have already decided their fate: "Stay as you are!" and that is what the US and the UK prefer.

Syria does not want tow their line, so the answer is to send rogue brigades from Al Qaedah and other sources.

Tell them to send in the Saudi, Qatari and Kuawaiti militaries?

Calling others 'ignorant fools' won't make them NOT realize you are one ' my opinion'
your post is full with contradictions. i don't know if you really believe on what you write.
Once , you believe Arabs need revolution to get rid of tyrants then you call Sadam and Asad,, nationalist.? who wanted to unite Arabs? Sadam? how? by occupying Kuwait? I hope you are not serious.
you're a joke. Asad knows about politics as much as you do. what did he offer his people? Don't think it's asad who takes decision at this war , I'm sure he is just receiving orders. asad could not free his
land from Israel . Assad's army did n't shoot one bullet on the so called Israel, but when Syrians protested , he moved tanks, planes and all kinds of weapons to silence them. Would there be more destruction and deaths than what's happening now if they fought to free their land from Isreal instead. That is why these regimes must be removed. their weapons are used on their own people not on enemies.

The Iranian revolution you appreciate is based on religion. tell me what Iran has achieved except exporting unrest to neighboring countries? yes, but for what? What power is Iran building ? Nuclear power ?? And for who? Don't tell me to free Palestine. no ignorant fool ( except one I know) still believe it. Even shia in Iraq began to realize those mullahs brought them nothing except destruction.

Last thing you should know ,as a muslim, we are only proud of our Islam, not race. We don't want nationalists . We want Muslim rulers who follow Islam .

Beware wishful thinking because it will cloud your thoughts and lead to confusion. However, that's much easier said than done, because today you're showing distinct tendencies towards living in a rosy world of your own and ignoring any hard facts that are under your nose. Take care that you don't allow someone to dupe you simply because you aren't paying attention to what they're saying or doing.
