Dear friend,<quoted text>
The forum is about the barbarism that is about to be inflicted on Brunei by its despotic sultan.
There's a lot of empty rhetoric and bluster but no one yet has the muster to try and defend the brutal murder by stoning for adultery or blasphemy. It may be because it can never be justified. But someone should tell the sultan,or send him a book on ethics. He won't find any in the koran.
Our Sultan is far from what you have imagined in your head. There is no one murdered and killed in Brunei.
It is very hard to explain to non-muslim as it is hard to explain it to the new and younger generation in Brunei.
But this is for the best for our people as we believe that it will bring good changes and help to solve the increasing criminal activities in the country.
Dear friend, Sharia Law is not as simple and evil as u have thought, it demands due process of equitable checks and balances, so rigid, so involved, so meticulous, no mistakes because Muslims apply this Law so that injustice is not committed by us.
Syariah Law is not about chop, stone first and then ask question. It is not a wild life style execution:shot first and justify later.
It is preventive in nature to prevent socio-economic-religious self-destruction of individuals and society in this transient world.
For the muslims Sharia Law is not merely just a law it is a way of dealing with thing in everyday life.
We as a muslim here embrace the practice of life, therefore abide to the law.
We Bruneians have a great respect for other religion to be practiced in the country too and in that sense we all must have respect for other religion too.
