Raven... they are not facts.... and there is no logic in his post... If you have something to say... go ahead I am listening... a discussion should be avoided when it leads to insult...

I didn't expect you to agree with my assessment.

I stand by what I said. Feel free to 'discuss' that to your hearts content.

In post #49 I said you read the interpretation of the Coran because you read it in another language than arabic... I meant you did not read the Coran as the prophet Mohamed {pbuh} recieved it from Jabril... When you read the Coran you get the essence of it... the later will forge your faith... whatever nationality or culture you come from Islam will adapt to your environement...without changing the word of God...Go to any country in the world and you will hear the samr call to the prayer in Arabic....so I guess you understood what I was talking about and see I was not contradicting myself...If you want read the Coran ... read it in arabic...
???

I'm only an engineer and a pilot, we deal with logic and facts.
Somehow this I simply cannot find any here, it seems rather self contradictory.

First you say to really understand islam the koran has to be read in arabic.
Then you say it doesn't matter, it is still god's word.
then..
If you want read the Coran ... read it in arabic...

There is an explanation isn't there?

<quoted text>Also it will leave a black mark against the religion of islam.
A religion so weak it has to kill or punish those who wish to leave.
I am a Muslim, but I agree with you, it is immoral to punish a person for leaving Islam or choosing to practice their choice of faith. It kind of defeats the point, many Muslims enjoy the right to practice Islam in non Muslim countries....and it saddens me to witness islamaphobia on the increase, but it also saddens me to read such articles

You see in Islam it is not obligatory to be a Muslim it is a personal choice, it is written in gods revelations to warn those to follow god as instructed in his revelation, however god created man with free will, therefore at the end of the day it's his choice and it is between him and his god and not between him and a court. Using this strategy just scaremongers and again distorts the peaceful Islamic religion which is being hijacked by all sorts of nutjobs

<quoted text>Whether Christianity is just another unfounded religion or not is irrelevant; it is still preferable to islam.
Actually it's like this, the message god revealed to Jesus is the same message god revealed to Mohamed; Islam is not different to the "real Christian prophecies as taught by Jesus which were revealed to him from the same god"

The prophecies revealed to Jesus became distorted over time so god gave a final revelation to Mohamed as the miracle of the Quran.

So really the real Christianity which I'm not sure is practised correctly today as In the time of prophet Issa is actually the same as the pure Islamic ideologies

<quoted text>This case highlights the strength of Sharia law, a body of law that that does not bend to the selfish demands of lawyers and judges where the guilty go unpunished with the plea bargaining system pushed to its extreme in the USA.

Perfection has to be protected by strength, not polluted by corrupt Western standards.
Do you have a solid grounded understanding of sharia or are you basing your ideologies on biased media you have scanned on the Internet? Do you read Arabic competently?

Sharia law protects the woman from this disgrace and subsequent poverty.
Sharia law today unfortunately it is not practised correctly

The real Islam doesn't oppress women of their rights it protects them, unfortunately the Middle East and Muslim countries have been peppered and tainted with ideologies which are a far cry from the exact sharia and yes oppression is existing in these countries and it is disgraceful. The media has hoodwinked the masses with anti sharia propaganda , which is all part of the islamaphobic campaign taking over everywhere

For example idiots who go and harm non Muslims shamelessly attacking them, they are doing the opposite to what Islam teaches...... We believe they will be punished for their cowardly distasteful, disgraceful behaviour and rightly so!!!

I hope the world soon returns to a more balanced equilibrium , all this hatred wears me down

You put what I wanted to say in less words!! Thank you I am however going to check the validity of this story as sometimes the media twists things or maybe the actual facts have been distorted through translation

If you need to read some books... read this good scholar... Tarik Ramadan... he wrote profusely on the subject of Charia law....
Khahled I have heard of people being ridiculed for eating in Ramadan in Algeria , but as you mentioned this is a misrepresentation titled sharia which often it is not, I like tarik Ramadan

<quoted text>OK ...now you are talking "ya kho"... marriage is a contract between a man and a woman only... The old Algerian generation... like my parents... they did not write contracts for anything...they gave "their parole" and it was as solid as a cntract... If a man love a woman and the woman love a man... they really don't need a contract if material things are not involve.... so a contract is safeguarding the material future of the other spouse in case...
If you marry and you wife does not love you.... believe me ...their is high probability that your wife will cheat on you.... if you love your wife and she loves you back the probability is almost nul... so do you still believe that marriage preserve anything...

Wrong!!People were not ridiculed or taking to courts for not fasting BUT people were ridiculed and taking to courts for not fasting and eating IN FRONT of people who are practicing (sort of provocation).I know lots of people in my manor in my town who don't fast (and that's their right) but they do it with discretion.
Also, this story about those who were not fasting in Algeria was a political motivation orchestered by the so-call mak to get more sympathy from France.

Muslims are the living fact of possessing the evil spirit of Muhammad.
Muslims want to shove Muhammad's Sharia law on the world.
That's playing God like Muhammad did in invading cities and towns and subduing non-Muslims under his rule.

I believe that provocation is not something good but I believe that moslems who don't want to fast during Ramadhan should not be terrorised of persecuted... Being a believer does not equate a person who pray five times a day or/and fast during Ramadhan...
