What you're saying is kind of racist. You're suggesting that Arabs expect each other to be violent over their religion being 'offended'.
(as if a religion had feelings..........p )
you understand it that way, but my point is Arabs, whether Muslims or Christians, are more religious and have passion to their faith while westerners, well most of them, no more care about religion.

Really? You don't say?
The minority coptics in Egypt, regularly beaten, killed, burned out of their homes, while the police/government of Egypt generally ignores it all, are going to react the same way in Egypt? Totally surrounded and outnumbered by enemies that have never shown shown any reluctance to harm them at the slightest provocation.
Really?
well, to be honest, I don't know much about copts or conditions in Egypt. I've never been there and I'm not in contact with any Egyptians.

But now after the film , I can understand the reasons of religious violence in Egypt. Copts are violent , bloody , liars and do not respect muslim Egyptians, so anything happened to them, I think, is a reaction of what they did first.

You equate Arab violence and murder with having a passion for their faith.

There is no misunderstanding you, Scent.

All men are equal and all women are equal.

Arabs do not surpass Westerners. And Westerners do not ecxel Arabs.

The better ones are those who fear God.

Americans, particularly of the Bible Belt region, are quite religious.

American religiousity, though, isn't the same as our faithfulness as we Muslims understand it.

A religious American would hymm mindlessly in church and cried out repeatedly specific words such as lord, jesus, and saved - without actually knowing the meanings. He or she could be a good friend but ready to commit (and forgive) too many sins.

A faithful Muslim would fear none but Allah, perform prayers on time, frequent the mosque, and very generous. He or she could strict when comes to deciding which act is sinful. And yes, he or she is more passionate about protecting or defending faith.

Agree, Scent?

no the film maker has no right to mock our faith.
Do you call it 'mocking'?All I have seen in that movie is directly taken from your own Koran, hadiths and sunna.Does not your hadiths tell the story of Prophet Mohamed slaying the husband, father, and brother of Jewish girl Sufiah and having sex in the same night with her?Other wives(Aisha included) of Mohamed were angry with him for his action- Touch your heart and tell me is it not in your hadiths?. You say if a non muslim depict that story it becomes 'mocking of your faith'?

You are wrong.Sitting in Asia, how can you predict what an Amercian praying in his church? What you say can be applied mostly to Muslims. Muslims, who are not Arabic don't knnow the exact meaning of what they are praying five times a day in their mosques. They just memorise the Arabic prayers from their childhood, and repeat it like a parrot during prayers. The passion and protecting of their faith comes from the fiery speeches in the mosque by their Imams and one must note they become more destructice only when they come out after friday pryers.

What I've learned from you, Dear Scent is that you really believe this racist and bigoted point of view.

It's not the first time, what's amazing is that you have no problem believing this way.

Westerners failure to understand Muslims concern is just astounding.

Bigoted points of view come from bigoted minds. I think, we have understood western values better than westerners have on ours.

I hope this age of internet will bring us together closer than we are today and were before.

That is a given, even Muslims know this, and it eats away at them. It contributes to their inferiority complex.

Actually, Muslims fail to understand Muslims. Eastern European Muslims find Middle Eastern Muslims an embarrassment; the European variety have the culture of Europe to enable some degree of rationality (some).

To me this is indicative that it's not just the religion of Islam, but the cultures of the Middle East.

Sociologists (recalling from my college days so my explanation is abit rough) classify Middle Eastern Muslims as a 'limited trust' society/culture. They do not trust anyone beyond immediate family, and to MUCH LESSER extent their tribe. This lack of trust makes it impossible for them to feel empathy with each other, and thus it is impossible for them to understand each other.

The religion itself seems to breed this trait with time, so it follows that it is the most extreme in the Middle East, and less in places that have been exposed to it for a lesser, such as Malaysia or Eastern Europe.

My explanation is not nearly as eloquent as my professor, but please, it was a while ago.

He, by the way, was a 'Humanist' as he called it, not a Christian or Jew. He seemed to look with a jaundiced eye at all religions, though was polite.

By the way - we invented the internet...you're welcome.

Well, LBer, I have no problem in saying that I've always respected westerners for being 'civilized' but , lately , I began to wonder if they are 'really' civilized as I used to believe or they just being 'respectful ( to the rules )and indifferent'

being civilized requires having common sense, consciences and morals.

Islam is not a religion.
Mohammed taught Muslims to be crazy evil people.
There are over 1 billion crazy Muslims running around in the world.
That is shameful.

You describe Arabs as being normal and reasonable for being violent over their religion being offended.

Civilized human beings would reject Arab behavior.

I understand perfectly.

Muslims like Scent have made it perfectly clear, Muslims are intolerant and unable to comprehend any other culture but their own.

You burn the Flag of my country you have offended me at least as equally as your prophet being 'insulted'..

I say YOU Muslims not only do not understand but you don't care either.

Exactly. Now note the goings on of Muslims in the Middle East.
It may be different in your neighborhood, but take a look at your own news services.

Is your Allah and your prophet so weak? Is the importance you place upon the opinion of one of us Americans so important to you?

You and yours may be fine (I wonder...), but the Middle East as a whole has a clinical inferiority complex, to the point of being neurotic. Even non-Middle Eastern Muslims look at your people with incredulity.

I don't understand what you are trying to say. I don't understand your question about Allah Almighty, but I guess you want to know if I care about Americans' opinions.
If that what you want , I tell you. I care more about Arabs' opinions about each other. we are living with Arabs not Americans. Americans are directed by media and Arabs are directed by their passion. At least what directs Arabs comes from inside. No, I don't look at Americans as superior and us as inferior if it's your point . I believe we know about the world around us more than Americans do.

..........
Is that like the low creatures that riot and kill over cartoons, movies, books, paintings, etc?

Normal people don't do that, just muslims.
