There is no reason or logic in this line of thought. So much wrong with it.

We are better than the Muslims who would kill people over their desire to be insulted. It's Islam's fault and their fault if they choose to be criminals and murderers to honor islam.

It's our obligation NOT to lower ourselves to their level. That's why you don't see Americans by the millions violently protesting all the possible insults Muslims have tried to send our way, from cutting off the heads of our people and our Allies, burning our flags and threatening us with their imaginary god.

It's our obligation to hold true to our laws and our rights and not be afraid of their threats.

People like you are either cowardly Americans who hate our liberties or a muslim.

Terry Jones is an idiot, but neither being an idiot nor destroying books is a crime.

Frankly, people need to just stop giving him attention.

If that is the case then let's hope YOU will be among the victims of the outrage of muslims to this new vile attack to what they hold dear!

I don't believe that Terry Jones is an idiot, ie: someone who in incapable of reason. Even though I don't believe burning the Quran is helpful Pastor Terry is simply challenging his right in the US to do so. He put the Quran in the dock charges with inciting violence, a trial that should have received allot of attention if there was to be an honest debate about Islam. A brilliant move but lost in a hypocritical hostile environment that the West has become. Instead of analyzing the evidence the messenger was delegitimized and hounded out as a nut case. The US must awaken to Terry's core concern and that is Islam is a legitimate threat to the West.

New Jersey Transit Worker, Fired After Burning Koran, Wins Back His Job

A New Jersey Transit worker who was fired after burning pages of a Koran during a demonstration in Lower Manhattan on Sept. 11 last year has been reinstated, reimbursed for lost wages and benefits, and awarded $25,000 in compensation for the pain and suffering caused by his dismissal.

The reinstatement of the worker, Derek Fenton of Bloomingdale, N.J., was announced on Thursday by the American Civil Liberties Union of New Jersey, which sued the transportation corporation on his behalf, arguing that his actions were protected by the First Amendment. The reinstatement was part of a settlement agreement, filed this week in Federal District Court in Newark, in which Mr. Fenton dropped his suit in exchange for getting his job back.

“In America, we have the right to burn all kinds of things — letters, flags, books, Bibles and Korans,” Deborah Jacobs, executive director of the New Jersey group, said Friday.

Ms. Jacobs said the case should “serve as a reminder to our leaders that they can’t punish and censor political expression based on their own emotional reactions or sense of morality.”

'An Ugly, But Legal, Form of Free Speech (2010 blog): The Dove World Outreach Center plans to commemorate the September 11 terrorist attacks by burning copies of the Quran in a presumably sincere, but woefully misguided, belief that America is at war with the Islamic faith. Burning books conjures up images of a time when Nazi brutality against a religious minority was state-sanctioned policy. But with the guarantee of religious freedom for all, the fundamental American right to protest — an essential element of the First Amendment's guarantee of freedom of expression — should also be honored. As the Constitution protects the right to burn an American flag as a political protest, for the Ku Klux Klan to rally at a state capitol, for neo-Nazis to march down an American street, then surely there is a right to burn a Quran or any other sacred symbol.'

Like it or not, it's our right and we have to defend these rights regardless of whether we agree or disagree.

Koran burning should be commonplace in the West. The filthy muslims must become desensitized to the fact that we will not allow their asshat "religion" and their assclown "prophet" to infringe on our rights to freedom of expression and right to be free from the muslim's bullsht.

I will agree that Terry jones is within his rights to mspeal out against anything he wishes. Problem I see is not a question of his right but the reactions to his actions. There is a rumor that Terry Jones has been receiving large cash donations to cause hate between Muslims and Christians. Whether true or not. His act surely help the Taliban and hurts Christians. This is not meant as a defense or encouragement of his actions but there is always reactions to acts of hate and this is all that is doing.

Burn the koran. No problem. Just a book, and a crappy one at that. Burn it everyday, I don't care and anyone who believes in free speech should.
