Spencer: The Convenient Resignation of Gen. Petraeus

There are 12 comments on the www.jihadwatch.org story from Nov 10, 2012, titled Spencer: The Convenient Resignation of Gen. Petraeus. In it, www.jihadwatch.org reports that:

Apparently overcome with guilt over an extramarital affair, General David Petraeus abruptly resigned as director of the CIA Thursday. A suddenly socially conservative Barack Obama accepted his resignation Friday, as Petraeus explained in a statement made public Friday afternoon (the time when all stories that the administration wants to bury are released). But Petraeus’s statement simply didn’t hold water — not only because it assumed an Obama as strait-laced as Pat Robertson, but also because it comes just after the House Foreign Affairs Committee asked him to testify in its investigation of the Benghazi jihad attack and subsequent Obama administration cover-up ...

from jihadwatch:

"Parson Obama ... may indeed have been so indignant over Petraeus’s affair that he accepted his resignation with alacrity. On the other hand, maybe his willingness to see the last of Petraeus had something to do with the statement that the CIA issued on October 26:'No one at any level in the CIA told anybody not to help those in need; claims to the contrary are simply inaccurate.'

"This came after Fox News had reported that same day that 'sources who were on the ground in Benghazi that an urgent request from the CIA annex for military back-up during the attack on the U.S. consulate and subsequent attack several hours later on the annex itself was denied by the CIA chain of command ...

"But if it wasn’t Petraeus who ordered that no help be given to Ambassador Chris Stevens and his staff when jihadists attacked the embassy, the order would have had to come from someone who outranked even the director of the agency. Thus Petraeus’s denial that the order had come from him pointed the finger directly at Barack Obama. And while the mainstream media buried that fact before the election, probably the House Foreign Affairs Committee would have asked Petraeus just who did give the order."

But the now disgraced Patraeus will conveniently not be testifying this week before that committee.

Why can't he testify still?

He can, but he's no longer obligated to; however, he can be served with a court order to appear before the committee.

The Deputy Director will testify this week instead of Petraeus.

I did not realize that.

Saw this yesterday, I think it's early to assume Patraeus would try to get out of testifying.
'On Friday, Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) told Fox News' Greta van Susteren that General David Petraeus will either testify on the Benghazi attack voluntarily or be subpoenaed.

“The fact that he’s resigned and had an affair has nothing to do with whether or not he’s gonna be subpoenaed to Congress,” he said. "I hope we don’t have to subpoena a four star general and a former CIA director. I would hope he would come voluntarily but if he won’t he will be subpoenaed."

Petraeus was slated to testify next Thursday at closed congressional hearings before the House and Senate intelligence committees. Acting CIA Director Michael Morell is expected to take his place, but Gowdy says that Petraeus' testimony is vital, and his resignation is irrelevant.'

That's what I meany by served with a court order to appear before the committee, but I couldn't spell "subpoenaed"!

The Obama admin has been successfully delaying bad news tnx to the mainstream media, but sooner or later, as the Bard once wrote, "... truth will out".

She was also on Fox and told Wallace that the hearings were only an inquiry.

Another interesting bit is that some ballots were not shipped overseas to military voters.

Maybe they're shipped to more needy countries in Florida instead?

Obama Wins 141 Percent of the Vote in St. Lucie County, Florida

If you’re in a close race, it’s not enough to win 98 percent of the vote in Detroit or 99 percent of the vote in crucial precincts. Or even 108 percent of the vote in an Ohio county. You want to go big. Real big. Turn that voter fraud up to 11 and win 141 percent of the vote.

This is America, as Don King, says, it’s a great country. Anything is possible. It’s a place where cars can run on hope, solar companies can run on dreams and government money and the son of a Kenyan philanderer who dreamed of being Prince of Indonesia can win 141 percent of the vote in St. Lucie County, Florida.

So dream big, kids. The sky isn’t the limit. There are no more limits. It used to be America. Now it’s Utopia.

Out of 175,554 registered voters, 247,713 vote cards were cast in St. Lucie County, Florida on Tuesday. Barack Obama won the county.

When faced with the astronomical figures, Gertrude Walker, Supervisor of Elections for St. Lucie County, said she had no idea why turnout was so incredibly high. She was flabbergasted, saying,“We’ve never seen that here.”

Coincidentally (or not), St. Lucie County is also in Allen West’s district, where 6,000 votes mysteriously “shifted” from Mr. West to his challenger.

Out of the 247,713 cards cast, somehow election machines counted 123,591 total votes.

Well I can’t explain it. But maybe Paul Krugman can. We seem to be living in a Post-Math society. There are no more real numbers anymore. Gravity is breaking down. Strange voices keep shrieking from the microwave. Cleveland has disappeared. The laws of physics are giving way to Hopetanomics. We can spend as much money as we want. The bigger the national debt grows, the more prosperous we’ll all be. And in 2016, Obama will win 283 percent of the vote while running a national debt of 33 quadrillion because it’s magic time and numbers are for conservatives.

Forget the 1 percent. Forget the 99 percent. Forget the 47 percent. This is the age of the 141 percent.

http://townhall.com/tipsheet/heatherginsberg/...

On Tuesday only one precinct had less than 113% turnout.“The Unofficial vote count is 175,554 registered voters 247,713 vote cards cast (141.10%). The National SEAL Museum, a St. Lucie county polling place, had 158.85% voter turn out, the highest in the county.”

The Supervisor of Elections, Gertrude Walker, had this to say concerning the 141% voter turnout:“They may have had something like that in Palm Beach County, but we’ve never seen that here.”

So maybe Allen West wasn’t crazy to ask for a lock-down on the ballot boxes and machines in this county. According to the report given the day after elections, Allen B. West garnered 52,625 votes in St.Lucie county and Patrick Murphy 65,896 votes.

This is a problem that must be addressed right away. There is no reason that there should ever be more than 100% turnout. This county alone could have cost Allen West his election. Voter fraud is real, and it is time that this be solved.
