This video has been brought to my attention by a nice lady friend of mine:

www.youtube.com/watch...

The story goes like this: a young "christian" man Gabriel stood up and began by questioning Yusuf Estes (who claimed to be a former christian preacher) why he'd later convert to Islam.

The question lasted over 1 minute, then Yusuf Estes raised his head and looked to his right but couldn't find Gabriel, and he said there was light shining to his eyes so he couldn't see where Gabriel was, and then he looked to his left to finally see Gabriel: "There you are!" (makes you think what Estes was doing for the whole time during the questioning while he could easily locate Gabriel while he was being questioned). It was clear in the end that the purpose of that episode was to establish the "fact" that he didn't know what was coming... as he emphasized 16 minutes into the video (see video from 16:14 - 18:30, I mark the YouTube to jump directly there)

&fe ature=player_detailpage#t=974s

This is where Estes exposed the conversion was staged:

Estes: "You brothers and sisters are going to see something strange. Because Gabriel and I have never met... we're not setting this up. He doesn't even know what I was going to say... but Gabriel you've been praying in your heart asking god to guide you, or you wouldn't be standing there right now - is it true or false?"

Gabriel: "thats true"

Estes: "there you go, there's your verification when you said thats true, and I know it because I have been through this again and again and again and thousands of people are wathed come to Islam like Gabriel, they're looking for truth... they're not looking for Islam, they're not looking for Quran, they're just looking for truth - real truth....(see that 'truth'?)

Note: Gabriel has never spoken after his initial question in this video, what a miracle Estes have already known that he was ready to take his shahada, and next they did just that!(after listening to a very un-impressive speech!)

(if you watch the video, notice their facial expressions throughout the video and I don't see how that could be one skeptic going through a supposely life-changing event)

See also at 18:20, Estes tried to downplay his native language by claiming 'superiority' of Arabic language by pointing to the word Islam would require 5 english words: "Surrender, Submission, Obedience, Sincerity, Peace" in order to describe it. And then notice the response of Gabriel when he said "really!?" in such "surprise" (that gave him such confidence to give his life to Islam?) Does anyone has any idea how existing of a word that is a composite of 5 different meanings make it a so supremely superior than a language that actually distinguishes the meanings?(afterall Estes needed to use the 5 words to describe the meaning of Islam?)

It really amazes me that muslims appear to buy this stuff, there are a few more "conversions" by the sisters after Gabriel, one even converted in tears...(I'm not going to analyse the ladies, the video tried to "protect their privacy" by not showing them)

During his speech, Estes clearly lied about christians and christian preachers, even twisted a few verses from the bible (he dared to combine two separate sentences from Jesus to make it sound as if they are from one sentence in order to enhance "biblical violence"... I'll locate the part later when I have time, but I encourage everybody to watch the entire video to see whats going on... I have seen this happening in Zakir Naik's programs as well when unbelieving ladies simply ask questions and so touched by answers they couldn't immediately verify but they immediately converted on the spot.

A very good observation about him not knowing who he was or where he was standing! These muslim preachers have been trained in the art of deception and faslification of others' religions. Allah is the best of deceivers (quote from the quran) and his muslims are not far behind.

Calling that the "art" of deception is probably giving him too much "credit". It was too obvious that it was staged (Estes basically revealed that fact by attempting too hard to hide it).

After Estes "found" Gabriel (about 90 minutes into the video), Estes started to praise Gabriel for being "such a nice person" that he wish he could hug Gabriel (wonder how he knew from a brief questioning?) and went on to say that when he himself was a 'christian' he wasn't so nice because he thought as a christian preacher he thought he had to be a tough "wacko" in order to preach to the world (what a convenient way to put down christian preacher? but doesn't that also tell you what kind of 'christian' he was?)

Staging conversion is one thing. I find it extremely despicable that he lied about "other preachers" for their "lies about the bible" and told the muslim audience: "you'll never believe how people can lie" (referring to those "other preachers"), here's the story he told :

From 12:30 - 13:40

&fe ature=player_detailpage#t=750s

Here Estes combined two separate verses in NT (Matthew 10:34 and Luke 22:36) to make it sound like one verse, when he asked another preacher: "Jesus said I did not come with peace, I came with a sword, and its time to sell your cloat and buy a sword - what did that mean?" Then he continued to say: "you know what he (the preacher) said? Listen to this... you'll never believe how people can lie. He (referring to the preacher) said don't you know this was done in Italy where they transcribe this stuff... the Latin and all... in Italy... Rome was in Italy... they'd work by candle-light at night and it was hard to see... and while they were trying to translate and put this down in the Latin language you know what happen? They were eating spaghetti... spaghetti fell down and it made an "S" and it was (next to) "Word" so it was WORD, it wasn't SWORD...(so Estes claimed the preachers used spaghetti to explain that SWORD actually mean WORD). Now does anyone believe Estes actually hear preacher use that claim? Estes was clearly lying because christians are not bothered by the word "Sword" in the two seperate verses that Estes combined - the original verses are:

Matthew 10:34 Jesus saying "Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword" (all christians know that the "sword" means "division" rather than physical, Estes a "preacher" would certainly know?)

Luke 22:36 "But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don't have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one." (that sword in greek lexicon was like a eating utensil, not for fighting, and it also plays out later that Jesus forbade using sword to even defend him)

This shows he is too ignorance about general christian beliefs (he can't be an ex-preacher as claimed), or he deliberately lied to his muslim audience.

Time 11:50 into the video

Estes claims that he heard so many preachers say: "Islam spread by the sword! Islam spread by the sword... Get away from these muslims" He hold up the Quran and claimed Quran doesn't even contain any arabic word "Sword" - but the bible contains the word "sword" 200 times.

Question: Does anyone believe Estes ever "heard many preachers" so horrified by muslim sword that they tell people to get away from muslims"???

2-Minute in the video:

Starting there he made general claim that he used to travel with other 'christians preachers' which he later couldn't trust them because they always claim "the bible says this and that..." but when Estes asked those preachers "where does the bible say that?" the preachers would answer: "who cares, as long as people think so?"

No names of the preachers were ever given by Estes, no mention of what the specific questions were asked... what a convenient way to paint "christian preachers" as "liars"?(think for a moment, christians in churches all have a copy of bible in their own language that they can verify, and the practice is that when preacher quote a verse he would also give you the book, chapter and verse number - you can be sure that any pastor making up bible verse would be shown the door very soon... I'd be interested to know where did those "preachers" that Yusuf Estes mentioned came from? I don't think they exist)

YouTube time around 6:00 to 10:30

Estes tried show that all muslims know their "unambiguous Quran", and he wanted the audience to believe christians would be "surprised" to know that the Bible wasn't originally written in English but in Hebrew and Greek....(as opposed to his claimed that all 1.6 billion muslims know Quran is in Arabic)

But I don't know a christian that doesn't know this fact, not to mention an ex-preacher who so under-estimated his audience.

He claimed that some muslims memorized the entire Quran, and tried to contrast that to "how many christians have memorized the entire bible"? As if christians must do what muslims do for christianity to be true?(btw bible is 4 times bigger than Quran) Christians are not encouraged to memorize entire bible because doing that would actually distract most us from its useful application, just as mathematicians would be useless if they try to memorize all formulas instead of mastering its principles.

In another video, Yusuf Estes made an amazing claim about catholic priests that:

"As a part of teachings they the priests have is to study Islam. EVERY priest is forced to study Islam... now you may not know that, but you can ask your priest and he'll confirm it."

www.youtube.com/watch...

I personally don't know what priests are required to study, maybe catholics here can please confirm or deny the claim?

Estes is a con man.
You really don't understand your religion Scent.
The heaven Mohammed described in the Quran is not real.
Mohammed lied to Muslims so they would fight and kill non-Muslims.
God does not command anyone to fight for Him.
God does not even demand any one to submit to Him.

God is love Scent and all God requires is that you believe in His Son Jesus Christ who God sent to die on the cross so that you may have life through Jesus.
Muslims are ignorant of why God did that.
It is Jesus who is the giver of life.
Koran scripture is dictated to Mohammed by Satan.

Talk about being desperate! In the first place, Jalal is splitting hairs here since whether one wants to call it black magic or simply magic the point still stands that Muhammad was affected by it.

Furthermore, the reason why Wood and others call this "black" magic is to denote the fact that this kind of magic (in fact all of it) is evil since God doesn’t approve of it.

Moreover, Wood didn’t invent this term to describe what happened to Muhammad. Jalal can blame his fellow Muslims for translating the Arabic as black magic:

You misunderstood my statement. I never said he was a catholic priest. I just quoted what he said in the video about catholic priests. He claimed that all catholic priests are forced to study Islam, which I found "amazing".

That a logical fallacy called "appeal to authority", and now the "authority" itself is in question. For christians, there is no such thing as "authority" the way you just used, everything and every person is under scrutiny with reality. If you want to use "authority", what he claimed doesn't fare well with all other well known "authorities" (that would include the Bible itself).

I am.
I respect the minds and the choice of this man who converted to Islam and other audience.
there is no need for what you say.. people will still convert to Islam no need to such efforts.

Thousands of people convert every year to Islam despite that Muslim countries are 3world world countries.. despite that muslim countries are not amongst the powerful countries in the world..despite
and despite and despite..
it' the true religion.. that is why people convert when they have the choice to.

I'm not questioning whether people convert to Islam, I'm questioning Yusuf Estes's honesty in the video. It is hard not to see that the conversion is staged.

Did you go through what I pointed out in this thread regarding the video, Yusuf Estes is undoubtedly a liar in my opinion.

Do you belief what he said about those "other preachers"? Muslims would only discredit Islam further if they keep on supporting such deceptive propaganda.
