The Paki govt gave the US permission for drone attacks.

It's only since we killed their hero bin laden that they decided they were not sure if they should agree anymore.

Pakistan: Why Blame America?
US Air Strikes in Northern Pakistan
By Yamin Zakaria
Global Research, January 20, 2006
20 January 2006
US air strikes carried out on the 13th of January 2006, on the remote Pakistani village of Damadola was a clear act of terrorism. Out of the 18 civilians killed, 10 were women and children. It seems US terrorism inside Pakistan is becoming routine, earlier on the 7th of January 2006 at least eight civilians were killed by the US helicopters attack. To be precise, such acts are state-terrorism or primary-terrorism as opposed to the usual: secondary-terrorism of individuals or groups! The bombings were indiscriminate and without warning, like the routine bombings of the defenceless Iraqi cities or the Palestinian villages and towns.

3573 people killed by drone strikes in Pakistan between June 2004 and September last year. The child was one of 176.

But Malik’s son, Noor Khan, is one of the few whose legal action against those accused of being complicit in these strikes has made it to British courts. He now stands against the British Government in court, on grounds that the UK government shared intelligence with the CIA that led to the US drone strike that killed his father.

Khan is merely asking for a statement on British policy on intelligence-sharing “so that he can understand whether the UK Government was or may have been complicit in the killing of his father and other members of his community”, according to a letter from Khan to Secretary of State William Hague.

<quoted text>US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton says that US created Taliban and abandoned Pakistan. Hillary Clinton acknowledged that the United States too had a share in creating the problem that plagues Pakistan today.
problems we face now to some extent we have to take responsibility for, having contributed to it. We also have a history of kind of moving in and out of Pakistan, she said.
Lets remember here the people we are fighting today we funded them twenty years ago and we did it because we were locked in a struggle with the Soviet Union.
They invaded Afghanistan and we did not want to see them control Central Asia and we went to work and it was President Reagan in partnership with Congress led by Democrats who said you know what it sounds like a pretty good idea lets deal with the ISI and the Pakistan military and lets go recruit these mujahideen.
And great, let them come from Saudi Arabia and other countries, importing their Wahabi brand of Islam so that we can go beat the Soviet Union.
And guess what they (Soviets) retreated they lost billions of dollars and it led to the collapse of the Soviet Union.
So there is a very strong argument which is it wasnt a bad investment in terms of Soviet Union but lets be careful with what we sow because we will harvest
Salaamz & salutations NITin. Great post on US foreign policy gone awry.LOL! And your prediction of the consiquences cant be too far off.The evil thats been sown will be comeing home to roost soon. Cheerz

From the article:
"The report notes that the attacks target Pakistan’s Federally Administered Tribal Areas where “people usually carry guns and ammunition as a tradition. US drones will identify anyone carrying a gun as a militant and subsequently he will be killed.” Pakistan’s government, which has only a nominal presence in the region, traditionally brands anyone killed by the US a “suspect.”"
You see the thing is - each one of these drones represents millions of dollars of US tax payers money. Don't you have better things to do than spend on this killing of innocents?
Targetting people with guns - like the ones who fired shots into the air at my brothers wedding? Imagine if they were flying over parts of the US - they would kill a lot of people.
All the Muslim countries must ask the US to halt this cruel bombing in which most dead are innocents.

All the Muslim countries need to ask Pakistan to go after Taliban and militants that are inviting the drone strikes.
