So while the common people argue and grovel over religion...and try to prove and disprove ones point those who are educated in the beauty of their religion work together and form a heaven for themselves...not affected by all this confusion and hell that most people are in.

1. Prophet Muhammad (Pbuh) himself supervised and authenticated the written texts of the Qur’an

Whenever the Prophet received a revelation, he would first memorise it himself and later declare the revelation and instruct his Companions who would also memorise it. The Prophet would immediately ask the scribes to write down the revelation he had received, and he would reconfirm and re-check it himself. Prophet Muhammad (Pbuh) was an Ummi who could not read and write. Therefore, after receiving each revelation, he would repeat it to his Companions. They would write down the revelation, and he would re-check by asking them to read what they had written. If there was any mistake, the Prophet would immediately point it out and have it corrected and re-checked. Similarly he would even re-check and authenticate the portions of the Qur’an memorised by the Companions. In this way, the complete Qur’an was written down under the personal supervision of the prophet (Pbuh).

2. Order and sequence of Qur’an divinely inspired

The complete Qur’an was revealed over a period of 23 years portion by portion, as and when it was required. The Qur’an was not compiled by the Prophet (Pbuh) in the chronological order of revelation. The order and sequence of the Qur’an too was Divinely inspired and was instructed to the Prophet (Pbuh) by Allah (swt) through Archangel Gabriel. Whenever a revelation was conveyed to his companions, the Prophet (Pbuh) would also mention in which Surah (chapter) and after which ayat (verse) this new revelation should fit.

Every Ramadan, all the portions of the Qur’an that had been revealed, including the order of the verses, were revised and reconfirmed by the Prophet (Pbuh) with Archangel Gabriel. During the last Ramadan, before the demise of the Prophet (Pbuh), the Qur’an was re-checked and reconfirmed twice.

It is therefore clearly evident that the Qur’an was compiled and authenticated by the Prophet (Pbuh) himself during his lifetime, both in the written form as well as in the memory of several of his Companions.

3. Qur’an copied on one common material

The complete Qur’an, along with the correct sequence of the verses, was present during the time of the Prophet (Pbuh). The verses however, were written on separate pieces, scrapes of leather, thin flat stones, leaflets, palm branches, shoulder blades, etc. After the demise of the Prophet (Pbuh), Abu Bakr (R.A.), the first caliph of Islam ordered that the Qur’an be copied from the various different materials on to a common material and place, which was in the shape of sheets. These were tied with strings so that nothing of the compilation was lost.

4. Usman (R.A.) made copies of the Qur’an from the original manuscript

Many Companions of the Prophet (Pbuh) used to write down the revelation of the Qur’an on their own whenever they heard it from the lips of the Prophet (Pbuh). All the verses revealed to the Prophet (pbuh) may not have been heard personally by all the Companions. There were high possibilities of different portions of the Qur’an being missed by different Companions. This gave rise to disputes among Muslims regarding the different contents of the Qur’an during the period of the third Caliph Uthman (R.A.).

Uthman (R.A.) borrowed the original manuscript of the Qur’an, which was authorised by the beloved Prophet (Pbuh), from Hafsah (may Allah be pleased with her), the Prophet’s (Pbuh) wife. Uthman (R.A.) ordered four Companions who were among the scribes who wrote the Qur’an when the Prophet (Pbuh) dictated it, led by Zaid bin Thabit (R.A.) to rewrite the script in several perfect copies. These were sent by Uthman (R.A.) to the main centres of Muslims.

Two such copies of the copied text of the original Qur’an authenticated by the Prophet are present to this day, one at the museum in Tashkent in erstwhile Soviet Union and the other at the Topkapi Museum in Istanbul, Turkey.

Debate between James White vs Sheikh Ahmed Muhammad Awal titled "Is Modern Bible Corrupted" in which they also discussed Quran burning (If I recall correctly the muslim debator claimed he burn Quran "all the time" in response to James question and in defence of Uthman's quran burning... he gave a strange reason you'll have to listen to figure out as.. and strange it is only ok when muslims burn qurans)

accidently left out part of the sentence:

"he gave a strange reason you'll have to listen to figure out as I couldn't recall exactly what it was..." (I just remember it was pretty amusing)

what a stupid assertion. that bastard mofreak did not know he was supposed to write down the revelations into a quran. period.

why...because he did not know about the camel war aisha started and what it entails.- the formation of shia and sunni muslims and their different views on compilation date of the quran.

Muslim source materials report that at least four different versions of the Qur’an existed before the political order was given to have them burned.(Refer to "Al-Tamhid 2, 247).

The four versions were written by people who knew Muhammad in person. Each person created their unique version of the Qur’an. Based on Muslims sources, the differences were serious enough to cause Muslims to be divided. The Islamic source "K. al Masahif" reports differences so serious as to cause one Muslim group to call another group heretics:

During the reign of `Uthman, teachers were teaching this or that reading to their students. When the students met and disagreed about the reading, they reported the differences to their teachings. They would defend their readings, condemning the others as heretical.'[Abu Bakr `Abdullah b. abi Da'ud, "K. al Masahif]

So a political decision was made to have only one Qur’an. This did not go over well with the original people who created their unique version of the Qur’an. Who were these chosen people?

Muslim source materials reveal some of these select people who are known to have created their unique version of the Qur'an.(Sahih Bukhari, Volume 5, Book 58, Number 150).[Search on the referenced site to find the number "150" if you want to verify the written literature].

I heard the Prophet saying, "Learn the recitation of Qur'an from four persons:(1)Abdullah Ibn Mas'ud,(2)Salim (who was killed in the 633 CE battle), the freed slave of Abu Hudhaifa,(3)Ubayy B. Ka'ab and (4)Muadh bin Jabal."

So a few select people close to Muhammad thought they knew the Qur’an and collected their personal version. These versions of the Qur’an became widely distributed and used. This is why Muslim soldiers were arguing and calling one another heretics.

After the "official" Qur’an was released and the order was given to burn all other versions, some very bad feelings came out. The following information from Muslim sources is probably the most important information you can learn about people who actually knew Muhammad in person. Let’s begin with Mas’ud, who was asked to burn his personal version of the Qur’an.

They burned it because Uthman had his scribes add two blasphemous verses to the Quran to glorify their idol. Prophet Muhummad. These false verses gave Muhummad attributes of GOD. The false verses are 9:128-129. Although, the vast majority of muslims reject this because it glorifies their idol. This why there was a 50-year war after the death of Muhummad. Those fighting for GOD, and those fighting against GOD (Uthman). Obviously, Uthman won the war (as per GOD's design) and had the original Quran burnt to prevent any future uprisings.
Don't you find it interesting that Sura 9 is the only Sura in the entire QUran that does not contain the Basmallah, "In the Name of GOD, Most Gracious, Most Merciful" at the beginning of the Sura. GOD knew they were going to add 2 false verses there as GOD is Omnipotent, Omniscient, and Omnipresent.
See the endless proof these verses are fabrications.

All I would like to say is that we muslims don't worship idol. Muhammad (peace be upon him ) is a prophet. we don't worship him. He is just a messenger. since you are taking about suras, I am sure you read Quran (as you are talking so knowingly) and must have noticed everywhere in Holy Quran it talks about Muhammad (peace be upon him ) as messenger...or are you pretending to have read the Holy book? I have a suggestion for everyone in this thread...read before you start talking about something...that will save you from a lot of embarrassment.for those who argue about The Holy Quran, does really know their own Holy book?

Lol loved reading all the comments, keep em up.

But to answer the ORIGINAL question, actually you know what, here's a link, read and sorry to say, weep.

http://www.ilovezakirnaik.com/misconceptions/...

some other dude said dont expect any good answer coz Muslim's cant take their were more than one copies. To you my friend I would say, read and weep aaaand on top of that, the Qur'an is protected by Divine Law, it is the only Holy text in this world that has this Divinic protection. This is mentioned in the Qur'an and Hadiths so once again, would you like a Kleenex.

Ooops fogot to mention the copies that had been found and are currently in museums.

after the publication of the Atlantic Monthly, Puin wrote a letter in which he revealed:

"The important thing, thank God, is that these Yemeni Qur'anic fragments do not differ from those found in museums and libraries elsewhere, with the exception of details that do not touch the Qur'an itself, but are rather differences in the way words are spelled. This phenomenon is well-known, even in the Qur'an published in Cairo in which is written:

Ibrhim next to Ibrhm
Quran next to Qrn
Simahum next to Simhum

In the oldest Yemeni Qur'anic fragments, for example, the phenomenon of not writing the vowel alif is rather common."

See what I mean when I say, protected by Divine Law.

What is the one think every human has, and is what prevents them from redeeming their soul and avoiding the painful retribution on the Day of Judgment? It is our egos.

EGO = Arrogance augmented by ignorance.

GOD commands us to kill our egos and submit to GOD alone without setting up any idols beside GOD (eg: Jesus, muhammad, the saints, our money, our children etc.) before the retribution of a terrible day.

The truth will out... we cannot read anything by Muslims as there will be bias...(how can u trust an1 that follows "believers, do not take Unbelievers as your friends..",& we r familiar with TAQQUIA ).

Un-biased eveidence from historians/ scientists, as well as Islamic texts suggest Quran was from many sources & compiled by Uthman as a compromise. Even Aishas hadiths say that "many vereses were eaten by stray goats from under my pillow" !!!
and further hadiths say that many verses were lost in battle (as it was mainly an oral tradion), with other quotes in the period of Aisha saying they remembered this-or-that verse, but it is missinG in the compilation.
Also, why did Uthman compile Quran out of sequence? Its in the wrong chronological order...(longest 2 shortest).

Its time 4 muslims 2 come off their high-horse about the "perfect book"... if it is, why is the message poetic & readable only in Arabic? When translated in2 other languages, many verses are Satanic-like...
Translate the Bible, Buddhist, Hindu, Sikh texts in2 any language, & u wont lose the message... Love, respect 4humanity...
Why can Quran be mis-translated? A true message of God wont lose its main message, no matter how much u translate it. Maybe Islams original mesaage wasnt as violent.. maybe Uthman made mistakes, as the Sanna Quran (oldest manuscript?) didnt even have vowels, so each word has 30 meanings...
... but ofcourse, Muslims cannot question it... & i expect a multitude of rebuttals...

Question #1.
The above Hadith says :
"Uthman sent to every Muslim province one copy of what they had copied, and ordered that all the other Qur'anic materials, whether written in fragmentary manuscripts or whole copies, be burnt"
Why did Caliph Uthamn BURNT all the original copies and fragments of ORIGINAL QURAN?
Question #2:
The Hadith Also says, Quran was revealed in "dialect of Quraish"? Yet why NON-Quraishis WROTE the Quran instead of Quraishis?
""Why did Caliph Uthamn BURNT all the original copies and fragments of ORIGINAL QURAN?"" Because they were all different. And how can you claim that "the quran, has never changed," When there were conflicting copies.

""The Hadith Also says, Quran was revealed in "dialect of Quraish"? Yet why NON-Quraishis WROTE the Quran instead of Quraishis?"" The people of Baghdad who put together the quran that muslims read today, had a bridge to sell, a people to surpress, and neighbouring lands to pillage. Their easist way to accomplish those goals, was to print the propaganda you see in the quran today.

No. Nothing from the quran was written down in muhammads life time. Nothing. Zero. The Quran wouldn't get written down to paper or parchment for a century and a half after Moe's death. The people of the Quraysh,(Muhammads tribe) had no written language. There language was only verbal. Arabic as a spoken language in their time had no written alaphabet. The people were illiterate muhammad included. The writing evolved from Aramanic and Syriac over the next 300 years. Thats why the first so many qurans, that were finally written down differed so much. Arabic, as a written language was new and still evolving, and the different tribes that spoke it conflicted as to how the lettering would be written. Infact the first qurans put to paper, The letters had no "Dots" above or below the letters, causing different writers in the 8th centuries to argue over the meaning of many words. Once they realized the different tribes all had conflicting qurans conflicting verses different accounts, they realized they had a problem. How can you tell people that the quran has never changed, and its the "Unchanged words of god, right down to the punctuation when there are so many different versions?" So they decided they had to standardize the writing, with the addition of the dots above and below the letter, to act as accents to distinguish the difference between some "similar" words. Thats what left them in a pickle. They had approximately 7 to 8 different "Accounts" as to what the quran said. This caused arguements amoungst the tribes of islam.
