I think everyone should take time to learn about this religion before insulting it and its followers and cursing its prophet Muhammed (peace be upon him). Everyone has a right to believe in whatever they want to believe. But no one has the right to insult or curse someone else's religion. We should all have more respect for each other than that. i would really like to know why everyone is so against the religion of islam?

Muhammad went into the temple of kaaba and smashed the pagan idols - all 360 of them - one after the other. Do you think that was out of respect for the pagan religion? So to answer your question of why everybody is against islam, it's more to do with the attitude of muslims themselves. Starting with the idol smashing example set by muhammad, the muslims have no respect for other religions. In return they deserve no respect back.

The prophet muhammed (peace be upon him) didn't smash the idols out of disrespect. He smashed them to set an example. To show them how they're "gods" can be easily destroyed. How can you worship something that can neither benifit or harm you? Are you a pagan?

Interesting you use the word respect. Define respect. Please take a moment to yourself to reflect and define how islam defines respect.

And there you will have your answer.....

Apparently you don't read newspapers or watch Cable TV news as they would give you the answer: continual violence in the name of the so-called "religion of peace"!

You shouldn't blame every muslim in the world, for what some muslims have portrayed to you. There is a whole other side of islam that no one has seen due to lack of knowledge of the religion. If you speak of terrorism, it is in our religion to fight those who disbelieve. So you cannot blame us for following what our Lord told us to do. Islam is a beautiful religion, if you took the time to understand it. It is the true religion, its the only one that makes absolute sense.

Simple...its none of your business what other people believe.

So basicly you're asking everyone to respect islam while islam disrespects any other belief.

Islam will never be tolerated until it learns basic respect.

Islamic terrorism (Arabic: إر&#16 07;اب إس&#16 04;ام& #1610;‎ ʾirhāb ʾislām&# 299;) is a term for acts of terrorism committed by Muslims for the purpose of achieving varying political and/or religious ends. Islamic terrorism has been identified as taking place in the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Southeast Asia, and the United States since the 1970s. One of the most well-known militant organizations is al-Qaeda, which was founded by Osama bin Laden for the stated goals of ending American military presence in the Middle East and the Arabian Peninsula,[1][2] overthrowing Arab regimes he considers corrupt and insufficiently religious,[1][2] ending American support for Israel,[3][4] and returning East Timor and Kashmir to Muslim rule.[5] Islamic terrorist organizations have been known to engage in tactics including suicide attacks, hijackings, kidnapping and recruiting new members through the Internet.

It may be considered violence to you, but why don't you look at the meaning behind it. As i said before, it says in our Quran to fight the non-believers. The violence you see is just muslims obeying their Lord.

Id like to ask you something.

Do you think its right that the jews took over palestine, renamed it isreal, and have been occupying the Palestinians land for so many years?

I dont blame every muslim. Actually,I feel sorry for most of them. The M.E. is a human rights nightmare of horribly abused people.

Where is your compassion for them?

You must be nuts to think it wasn't out of disrespect. How about we go and smash that black stone in the kaaba or that wall you claim to represent the devil? Surely they have no significance either!

And why should islam respect other religions if the other religions don't respect it? I've read on this forum so many non-muslims cursing my religion and the prophets of my religion. Do you think it fair that they would call them names too vulgar to repeat again. If you all weren't so ignorant, maybe you would have more respect for this religion.

And I am a 'non-believer' according to you, so why should I not respect Islam? Why should I not trust Muslims? Why should I not consider Islam and Muslims my enemies?

Your comment just shows how uneducated you are about the religion of islam. We don't worship these things. We only worship Allah, and Allah alone. we do not worship idols or statues, or prophets. We follow the propeht's examples, but we do not worship them. When the idols were smashed, they were smashed because they were being worshipped. If they were gods then why didn't they protect themseleves from being destroyed. Therefore, he was setting an example.
