A survey in Arab countries conducted by Maktoob Research shows that 62 per cent of Muslims think that non-Muslims living in Muslim countries should not eat or drink in public during Ramadan, while 52 per cent believe that all restaurants should be closed during the day — even to non-believers — as a mark of respect to Islam. The survey included 6,128 respondents from across the Arab world.

That shows the intolerance of other beliefs.

I think that moslems should not wear their religion on the sleeves when in western countries.

The sight of headscarves offends my sore eyes;) And I am not the only one who thinks so,

If your not muslim wherever you live you should not have to follow islamic rituals we dont insist that muslims follow other religious rituals of other faiths so what right d they have to insist because they decide to fast everyone else whatever there faith must well i eat during ramadan so do my friends and when i was at school there was a muslim boy who had heart problems and he was allowed to eat during. So far muslims dont rule the world and god forbid that ever happening but until then you dont have the right to insist upon your faith being followed by anyone im sick of you bloody muslim demanding everyone respect you respect has to be earned and what you and your people have insured is a hell of a lot of people hate you we dont respect you we hate you we want you out of the wetsrn world and i am talking for a lot of non-muslims so no were not going to respect your religion and fast like a fool you can if you want but you have no right to demand that of non-muslims

Ten percent of the population of Egypt is Coptic Christian...they do not refrain from eating in public during Ramadan.
However it would be more courteous to your Muslim hosts to NOT make a public display of eating on the street during Ramadan. Eating in a restaurant is perfectly acceptable.
Egyptian Muslims do not make a 'fetish' out of Ramadan...they accept it, not as a distasteful chore but as an honor...an attempt to live their beliefs....they do NOT insist that non-Muslims join them.
I spent the entire month of Ramadan in Egypt last year, and will do the same this year. I was never made to feel uncomfortable eating in the Hotels or Restaurants.
Enjoy Ramadan, and if you are invited to join Muslims for "Id el-Fitr" following the last day of Ramadan...ACCEPT. Its Party time. LOL

Sexual harassment of women in Egypt is on the increase and observing Islamic dress code is no deterrent, according to a survey published this week.

Who was in Egypt first: Copts or Muslims?

Aren't the Copts actually the host of Muslims, who were overrun by aggressive islam?

After your primitive description of western women, you can stuff your phony "PEACE"

Get with the 21st Century if you come to western countries; otherwise, stay where you are.

Western countries need people who are not religous zombis and people who contribute to their host societies. Not by running around in 2000-year-old garb and building mosques.

A homeless man in Brussels was beaten to a pulp this past Friday. His assailants were arrested and will presumably be charged with assault and battery soon, but what's genuinely shocking is the reasoning behind the attack.
You see, the two assailants were Muslim men, who when walking by in the street, became enraged that this homeless man had the sheer audacity to drink during Ramadan.

In a (presumably) non-Muslim country!

According to eyewitness accounts, "The father started screaming at him that he had 'no right to drink during Ramadan,'" which doesn't sound all that "peaceful" or "tolerant" to me....
