sam quoted very good verse

"Submit yourselves therefore to God." James 4:7

This is a Islam.

‘Islam’ is an Arabic word and connotes submission, surrender, and obedience As a religion, Islam stands for complete submission and obedience to Allah and that is why it is called ‘ISLAM’.

here are some other translations:

7So be subject to God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him], and he will flee from you.

Be subject therefore unto God; but resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

7-10So let God work his will in you. Yell a loud no to the Devil and watch him scamper.

So give yourselves to God. Stand against the devil and he will run away from you.

Therefore be ye subject to God; but withstand ye the devil, and he shall flee from you.

So let God control you. Fight the devil and he will run away from you.

Submit is what a slave does to his master. Islam was developed in a culture where slavery was the norm. It's language is rooted in that period.

Message of Bible is exactly same.

The foundation of Jesus’ message was submission to the will of God, because that is the foundation of the religion which God prescribed for man since the beginning of time.

In Arabic, submission to God’s will is expressed by the word ‘Islaam’.

In the Gospel according to Matthew 7:22, Jesus is quoted as saying:“Not everyone who says to me,‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father in heaven.”

In this statement, Jesus places emphasis on “the will of the Father”, submission of the human will to the will of God.

The will of Jesus' father is totally different of allah's will. Accept it.

What is a will of Jesus's father?

Once again read Matthew 7:22

"Not everyone who says to me,‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father in heaven.”

In this statement, Jesus places emphasis on “the will of the Father”, submission of the human will to the will of God.

This is exactly a same message of Quran.

In Arabic, submission to God’s will is expressed by the word ‘Islaam’.

Sura 3 verse 19

“Truly, the religion in the sight of Allaah is Islaam [submission].”

So Jesus was a muslim.

As i said,Jesus was a muslim.

Read Gospel of John, Chapter No.5, Verse No.30

‘I can of my own self do nothing’…‘I can of my own self do nothing - As I hear, I judge and my judgement is just, for I seek not my own will, but the will of my Father.’

Anyone who says…‘Not my will but God’s will’- he is a Muslim.

Muslim means the person who submits his’ will to almighty God.

Jesus Christ peace be upon him said…‘Not my will but God’s will.’ He was a Muslim.

It is not derogatory to submit to Allah who provided us with 2 eyes, 2 eyes and mouth etc and fashioned us in the best manner and blessed me with kalima.
