The jotish holds that it can help alleviate the unfavorable results of past actions through special measures. However, gurbani seems to be of the opinion that the permanent and foolproof solutions to the results of past karma is through complete surrender to the God. Because, when one is completely so surrendered, one's body mind and spirit are purified and harmonized by the spiritual living (a state beyond the influence of the planetary lines). This is the permanent solution to the life's problems. Other worldly solutions can be temporary at best and will create a new chain of karma.

When complete surrender takes place within, for that person there is no need for astrology and related rituals, because the God takes over one's affairs fully and cut asunder the chains of karma. However, those with that level of complete surrender are very rare in this world. Consequently, they seek the help astrology, numerology, horoscope, face reading, palmistry, palm-leaf manuscripts, and so on. These systems are practiced throughout the world.
According to gurbani, those who worry about shubh or ashubh (auspicious and inauspicious) are devoid of complete surrender to God. Only a fully surrendered being is above and beyond the influence of shubh and ashubh, thus immune from their results. By thinking and worrying about auspicious and inauspicious omens, one falls victim to fear and anxiety.

You are right. But I want to know is it realy reliable? If yes then up to what extent? I have read palmistry to some extent I found it true. For example if mind line of a person crosses the Palm then he will be howdy(jiddi). After verification of 6 persons I found it true.

Jyotish was written thousans of year ago. Colours of Planets were defined without any telescope which are now found true by modren science. Actualy all things in this universe emits light & magnetic waves. Jyotish defines the behaviour of body with others.

Jyotish is the science of light and light is a form of energy. Light carries the information of events with it. When mind registers the light through the eyes, the event becomes evident to us. In other words, light is one of the main factors that make the time continuum possible. It brings certain continuity between events as it carries vital information from one event and enables its effects.

Let us use an example. If a friend, who is sitting next to you, is suddenly sick, and this information is arrested by arresting the energy that carries this information, then, you would not realize that your friend is sick. Imagine something that arrests both the light and sound that it cannot reach you. In such a case, the effect of his cries for help will not be there on you. Whereas, the moment you get this information, you will act. It is safe to presume that light carries information and enables cause and effect. Here light should be understood as energy

Jyotish uses the same principle. It analyses the planetary forces on an individual and determines, where it will take that person and for how much time. If the person does not use the choice (2 or 3), there would be no interjection to the planetary forces and prediction could be made with ease.

In case the person reacts, the planetary forces get strengthened for the worse and the event shall happen, probably before the stipulated time.

Every Planet has its own Cosmic Rays described under:
