Pastafarianism has just as much in support of it as any other religion. I do prefer the Invisible Pink Unicorn, though.

I've never been a fan of the FSM as I find invoking it detracts from any discussions rather than it proving a point.

If I had my choice of satirical religions I'd go with Church of the Subgenius. Eternal salvation or triple your money back.

You are certainly welcome to your opinion. But I find it much easier to pay homage to the FSM than the IPU. My celebratory feasts may include spaghetti, fettucine, ravioli, lasagne, noodles in a chicken or beef soup, or, in a pinch, Ramen.

I'd certainly be open to the idea of switching to the IPU but I don't know how to prepare Unicorn nor where to acquire it. I look forward to you educating me in such manners.

Wow. Who can not be swayed by this powerful argument? I, too, must post to increase the noise to signal ratio.

As Scarface so wisely said: "Once you get the Topix points, then you get the power. Once you get the power, then you get the women."

Let's us not look too much further where the Feds bust you. Or the Topix admins ban you...

I, too, prefer the IPU, bless Her holy hooves, may They never be shod.

The FSM is a close second.

I wonder if hundreds of years from now, someone will actually be worshiping the IPU and the FSM based on the satirical websites dedicated to same. Of course, those worshipers won't realize it was satire.

If you would be so kind as to tell me what is the sacrificial offering to the IPU?

I have consumed many a plate of pasta (so quick and easy to prepare!) in the name of the FSM that I am tending to cast my vote towards that Noodly Goodness.

Or perhaps the FSM and IPU are avatars of the same deity in order to sway both sexes? At the risk of stereotyping, women wish to ride a unicorn while men want to chow down.

Put that way, it seems to make a lot of sense...

The IPU is well known for Her love of her love of pineapple and ham pizza, her dislike of those who use the word 'an' in conjunction with the word 'history', and the fact that she 'raptures' socks, thus explaining the phenomenon of missing socks.

When one worships at her shrine, the laundry room, one will not have one's socks raptured.

Arr! When one is a pirate with a peg leg (that would look ridiculous with a sock on it), the rapturing sock thing has lesser importance.

And it's a well established hypothesis that both socks of a pair may not be raptured at the same time. If a matching sock is raptured, the original sock is cast back down into the dryer. This is being tested with the Large Hadron Collider (fancy name for really big dryer with millions of socks spinning around). They're actually looking for evidence a sock being sent back.

I'll save them for the Goddess then. I notice she's playing the game.
