Gay US bishop fights exclusion from meeting

The first openly gay U.S. Episcopal bishop was barred from a once-a-decade Anglican meeting so he wouldn't become a focus of the global event.

Having been baptised a Catholic and a member of many a church including the gay ones I don't hold their regressive and sometimes over sexual activity (Grope sessions during showing a sign of Peace), I really don't find any church including other denominations valuable to what I can do praying bu myself. It is really sad that some people find church as a place of play. It also sickens my heart for it to be the one hour of the week devoted to prayer and contemplation, asking the lord to guide them through the Holy Trinity. Now a days I stay at home and try to remember to include God into the actions of my hands, thoughts and actions. It deeply depresses me to find few that don't do this and had to find one church that didn't in Florida was the First Congregational Church. I am afraid the pastors that demonized Barach Obama, someone I think would be the best candidate just to be famous... Correction infamous.

Lets face it. Church is for those whom need leading and fellowship. That is fine. One cannot have enough fellowship in these times. It feels so painful that so much abuse happens at church which is supposed to be a house of worship, contemplation of what we have done and what we should do in our actions... I really loathe the basket coming past me when I am so poor though. It would be better if people lined up like for communion to put their envelope in the basket in the front of the church. I doubt this will fall on any ears though, as many poor as there is now and even worse that HOMELESSNES has come to be a PAINFUL reality. What do the wealthier churches intend to do with their riches and gold chalices fancy vestments and linens.

That infuriates me even more.

I wish the US church had notified the Archbishop of Canterbury that only our Presiding Bishop would attend. All other American bishops should have stayed home as long as Rowan chose to intervene in our internal governance.

The Church has better use of the money than flying 100+ bishops, wives and staff to England for a couple weeks anyway.

The Buy-bull is internally contradictory, among other issues.

That is not the same as, "whats written in the Buy-bull are all lies huh?" No, it's not all lies. That's why talibangelicals have to select their verses so carefully - which verses to strumpet, which verses to ignore.

The verse is: " 'Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable. " Leviticus 18:21-23

Since Gay men do not lie with a woman, then they are not violating this commandment.
