from virtueonline:

"The Presiding Bishop came to Charleston to set up a new Episcopal diocese with those Episcopalians who had chosen not to leave The Episcopal Church with Bishop Mark Lawrence following his defection over charges that The Episcopal Church had abandoned the faith of the church especially over Rites for same sex marriage passed at last summer's General Convention. Bishop Lawrence walked out of the convention after the resolution was passed in the House of Bishops.

"The majority of Episcopalians in the diocese have remained with Bishop Lawrence."

As well they should. He is a good Shepard for his flock.
Wow, is Lawrence getting under Schori's skin or what? To call him a tyrant is pretty comical considering her track record of declaring Schoria law.

Prior to the formation of TEC's national HQ, bishiops were THE authority in their own dioceses, hence the name, Episcopal Church.

Then came Schori's revised Title IV.

If there is tyranny in TEO, it has it origin in 815.

LMFAO!!!...(The F stands for Friar)

All of the above comments are "sour grapes." The only missing persons in this self-propagating cacaphonius rabble are "Wot," "James Aist" and "Listen to the Word."

Bad News for Renegade "Diocese": Don't Pack Your Bags for London

Church of England Bishop reportedly tells dissident clergy Lawrence's "diocese" is not destined for the Anglican Communion

Mark Lawrence’s new “diocese” will not be joining the Anglican Communion any time soon. Neither will any of the South Carolina parishes that have chosen to leave Episcopal Church.

The 'Presiding Bishop' has no authority to invade another Bishop's diocese. She needs a lesson in history.

I was at the Mere Anglicanism Conference held at St. Philip's at the same time Mrs. Schori was in town. What a wonderful,joyful gathering of believers who are focused on announcing Jesus and making disciples. What a contrast to Schori and her lot of malcontents!

20 My son, pay attention to what I say;
turn your ear to my words.
21 Do not let them out of your sight,
keep them within your heart;
22 for they are life to those who find them
and health to one’s whole body.
23 Above all else, guard your heart,
for everything you do flows from it.
24 Keep your mouth free of perversity;
keep corrupt talk far from your lips.

fix your gaze directly before you.

John 13:

34 “I am giving you a new command: that you keep on loving each other. In the same way that I have loved you, you are also to keep on loving each other. 35 Everyone will know that you are my talmidim by the fact that you have love for each other.”

Romans 5:8 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Matthew 5:43-48 “You have heard that it was said,‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

You quote Scripture when you feel it supports your weak position but when the Scripture is straightforward and clear, you dismiss it out-of-hand.

Jesus, in Matthew's Gospel, defined marriage as between a man and a woman and tied it back to creation. You dismiss this to allow for your political position.

Do not be hypocritical.

To get a divorce, a couple has to first be married. The only legitimate marriage Jesus recognized is that of a man and a woman.
