Why We Should Do Politics like Episcopalians

There are 62 comments on the Patheos story from Aug 27, 2012, titled Why We Should Do Politics like Episcopalians. In it, Patheos reports that:

Despite the tiny number of Episcopalians in America - 2 percent or so of the population—more presidents, senators, and Supreme Court justices have been Episcopalian than have been identified with any other religious affiliation. That suggests that maybe Episcopalians have some gifts for politics.

Now there could be some less-than-flattering reasons for this, of course ...

My ‘Modest Proposal’

is really simple.

A UN team sets up and then they ignite a 1 megaton A-bomb on the Dome of the Rock.

Everyone with a claim on the city circles the hole in the ground 5 kilometers away.

When to fireball has cooled down a sign is given and a race to the bottom of the hole starts.

The first survivor to the bottom of the hole wins the city.

This ‘Modest Proposal’ gives everyone an equal chance to win the City of Peace.

God will have certainly permit only His ‘Chosen One’ to win.

LOL

Sounds like the Oklahoma Land Race all over again.

I know. I thought I was watching TEC's General Convention. Especially the part where God was taken out of the platform. Of course that happened 20 years ago in TEC. The Democraps are behind the times.

How? Inalienable means "incapable of being alienated, surrendered or transferred".
LOL!!!....

Well then, why don't you ask an everyday common citizen of China about his or her inalienable rights?

Not only were they born with them, they're also made in God's image, regardless of the oppressive gov't they are under.

So, they really have these rights, but, be sure you don't ask them about it because they'll deny it?

I saw how it worked for muslims in the Gaza Strip who want to shoot rockets and those in Egypt who want to "abrogate" the Camp David Accords.
Next time you're in Israel, think about how well democracy "works" for muslims in the Middle East with an anti-Israeli agenda.
You really are all over the place, making connections that are only in your little narrow mind.

You are not much different than fanatic Muslims or any other kind of fanatic.

Thank God you have no funding, or group affiliation, or church group, etc., etc.

Face it joline, you're an army of one and a lazy one at that.........

You have to wonder why God made a man first and then had to create a woman if He was making a copy of Himself.

Did the Trinity have to get in touch with its’ female side before woamen were created? How strange is that?

There was nothing at all non-sensical about T McCabe's post #51.

McCabe's question is simple and to the point. If mankind is "made in the image of God," from what part of Godly reality is the female of our species copied?

The "image" is obviously both male and female.

I only wonder at what and why you think McCabe's post is non-sensical.

Why do you say that? You believe what the bible says, don't you?

Oh, pardon me. You only believe what it says when it is convenient for you to do so.

To be made in God's image doesn't mean you look like Him.

Not everything in the Bible is meant to be interpreted literally, or have you suddenly become an evangelical fundamentalist?

What does this have to do with politics and TEC?

LOL!

Only your hatred of both, especially when Jesus told us to be perfect by loving all as His father does.

It' call compassion, not bitterness - the latter being a complete lack of faith........
