My husband is following this guy and he is now leaving our family. Sad but he is following in Deckard's footsteps and he is not taking his medicine for his diabetes and he is moving closer the him. He says he is not interested in the island but I bet that will change. He had the never to tell me he did not know about the woman found dead after she walked out of the service (see article on internet she was from Chicago) and later he made mention that she had to many issues and wondered away. I have see drastic changes in my husband he is not the same person I married. He goes on long fasting sprees and believes that we will not be blessed if we do not follow the everlasting covenant to the tee. We are blessed We have a home, 2 beautiful children a roof over our head and lots of christian friends. This Deckard give my spirit a very bad feeling And I see too many questionables in his teaching. Does any one have any more information on his "Brass Ball" award he gives the the men for getting their house and wife in order (even if it means betting them into submission)? Thanks

On the August 24 blogtalkradio broadcast, Deckard tells his followers 26 minutes into the show that "...if they don't do everything he tells them then God will bring curses on them." The members will tell you that they are not kept in this group by fear, but this is the prime example of how Deckard uses his position to scare the followers.

on saturdays show on ustream.tv aug 25 house of ephraim channel Mark tells the viewers that Cradle of (Filth)Hope is better then other churches because they don't build church buildings. Well if you look at their home page you will see this: Cradle of Hope is a non-profit, religious organization.
We build churches, orphanages, hospitals and schools throughout the third world.
We hold crusades which see thousands brought to Christ
through the demonstration of the power of G-d's Word through the Holy Ghost.
I guess this means they are liars. In either case, one is a lie.

I've been there dear one! My husband became reclusive and moody after joining Deckards group. He didn't want to be around me or the children. Please get on the website mentioned above. There are 5 or 6 of us on the yahoo group deckardvs.christ. I actually can't believe anyone can call the truth about this man gossip. Gossip is usually when someone discredits or defames another individual without evidence. The evidence is out there where anyone can see it if they care to. Of course we pray that Tom Deckard will repent of his ways. God does not delight in anyone perishing or leading others astray. No, I havn't heard of anyone beating their wife but I can tell you with certainty, there is abuse in the Cradle of Hope group. God has strenghtened me through all this and He will do the same for you. You may contact me at lizblessed6x@yahoo.com

Prophet Todd Bernick, one of Tom Deckard's sub-prophets has set a date for Jesus' return: 2033 on Rosh Hashana during a solar eclipse. Any comments?

Deckard knows no boundary for his lies. Whatever he has to say he spits out to keep the money coming. Just like Sun Myong Moon where are the moonies without their JC? Where will Cradle of Hope be without TD? Just another cult.

He claims that Paul, who penned a major part of the New Testament is not a part of the Bible teachings. He will go to Hell according to the Bible unless he changes. Anyone who calls themself a prophet is a liar. Jesus was the final word and no person can add or take away from what he said. Those who follow a man, will follow him to hell.

Bravo, Heath. You are so right! Does anyone know if the Deckard has moved to the island? I heard that he already moved most of his belongings down onto Middle Caicos. Is this true? I have a family member following this maniac and I need more info.

False prophets are those who walk this world using the teachings of God to prey on the weak to satisfy their desires.

The scriptures attempt to guide you on a path that is good and to have faith in the word. The prophets chosen by Yahwe in that lifetime were the only prophets to exist in this world.

He came to this world with nothing and He left with nothing and his gift to you is the teachings of God and salvation

I am either amazed or sickened by this man, not sure which right now, but one thing is certain- I am deeply confused by him. When I listen to his blogtalk radio he does not come across as a deceiver or a lunatic. The other "prophets" in his ministry sound like they have their heads screwed on straight as well. And yet they all speak so candidly about these amazing things that they have apparently been doing. Tom goes as far as to say that he can control weather like hurricanes and tornadoes. I have been trying to learn more about this man for about a year now, ever since I made the connection between him and Elijah the Prophet. For some time I thought I wanted to become a part of his ministry, wanting to be as close as possible to the prophet who would be the one to prepare the world for the 2nd advent of Christ. For about 10 years, off and on, I believed I was that man Elijah. I know, it sounds crazy, and it was probably one of the reasons I was diagnosed with having bipolar disorder, but I had visions and dreams that were so vivid that I thought it was God speaking directly to me, telling me I would go out and perform these amazing miracles, causing the blind to see and the deaf to hear, resurrecting the dead and helping the lame to walk. And it all stemmed from believing that one verse Jesus is quoted as saying, "The works you see me do, you also shall do, and greater." I did not consider Jesus to be a liar, so it made perfect sense to me that in time, I would be able to do these things. However, after I
This man is still at it? I wasn't even looking for this post today and found it. He didn't cure the President of Malawi's brother of AIDS. That was enough for me. Lie to me about one thing and you'll lie to me about something else. Also, don't buy anything from that Donna. Her products are complete crap. Her voice is so frail and shrill and it's horrid to listen to. Snake oil for sure. What a waste of good money.

That is a date that is going around on the internet, because it is exactly 2000 years after Christ was crucified. It is common knowledge on the internet.

But don't you read your Bible for yourself? No man knows the DAY or the HOUR.

I do not think that Deckard has built his house on the island yet. The island for the most part is undeveloped rock and sand. The idea of the clan moving to island may just be part of the dog and pony show to keep the flock amused.

Deckard charges his followers $5,000 for a spot on the islalnd. Think about this - did Moses charge each Israelite a fee when they left Egypt?

Deckard wants each family to send him a silver dollar each month to build his house on the island. When the Israelites were in the wilderness after leaving Egypt, the Israelites gave their silver to Moses to build the Tabernacle. So again think about it - Deckard is comparing building his house on the island to the Israelites building the Tabernacle in the wilderness.

I don't see much difference in the two.

If you have ears to hear, hearken to your maker!

"Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse." Malachi 4:5-6

"And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things." Matthew 17:11

"And they asked him, saying, Why say the scribes that Elias must first come? And he answered and told them, Elias verily cometh first, and restoreth all things; and how it is written of the Son of man, that he must suffer many things, and be set at nought." Mark 9:11-12

"And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought: But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God." Acts 5:38-39

"Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus." Revelation 14:12

"Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness." 2 Timothy 2:14-16

"Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do them, that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the LORD God of your fathers giveth you. Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you." Deuteronomy 4:1-2

"And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen." Revelation 22:17-21

Hi Joshua - Can you show any connection between the Bible verses that you quoted and Tom Deckard?
Originally Deckard's pitch was that he was going to lead 50 million Ephramites to the land of Israel. Now Deckard's pitch is to take 120,000 of his followers to the island. That seems to be a pretty big change of plans for a major prophet of God who has never been wrong (so Deckard claims).

Deckard claims to have raised three people from the dead. Has Deckard ever provided names, dates, and places of these three miracles?

I think that these are fair questions. What do you think?

Well since it's never been proven anyone has raised anyone from the dead, it's pretty safe to say he's a scammer.
