Does anybody else here have power names?
They can be made up of the gods or doddesses, the plants, the flowers, the colours, elements, animals and so on that we most closely relate to. Does anybody else here have one. I was thinking of the name Eagle something as an eagle represents leadership skills. I was also considering the spirit boanne as it symbolizes that you will protect the earth against all pollution! I don't think I should put the two together in case it is too much....

.... does anybody else have these?

The Native Americans have many of these, but you can not choose your name it is your name you must become aware of yourself/greater self.

An animal may call you by your name or a tree or even spirits but you must find yourself answering, then you will know your name.

Heather is already a very powerful name!
Ask your mother if you can why she chose Heather.

She chose Heather because she was inspired by my great grandmother's maiden name, Hetherington.

I read something about it in a book on the druids and there is apparently a Heather [Ur] goddess or nature mother who encourages happiness and communication while working.

That is a very good reason as women give the name of their child after child birth (I'm A guy)(in most cases) and I have heard that child birth is a very spiritual as well as physical event. The woman is actually giving a piece of her spirit that has been with her and grew within her and had communin with her out of her ripping/tearing/cutting the connection to that that was of her away from her.

Heather is a very powerful name your name may be something like Heather of Spring or Scent of Heather etc.. I could tell you in person I AM the giver of names among other things, but, I suspect that Heather is involved.
