Assuming they don't suffer from any mental issues and can think and comprehend fine, at what age should a child/teenager to young adult be held accountable for making that decision to accept Jesus and become saved?

We hear and preach if someone has not accepted Jesus Christ as their savior they are not saved and will not get eternal life. I remember watching TV preachers say by 13yrs old a child needs to make that decision and some people think that is too young as they child might not know what they are doing and some think that decision should be made sooner than that.

ONLY the omniscient God of the Bible can determine when someone is accountable. We are all different.

..... Only those get saved who after they have left their parents' home follow the lifestyle and teachings of Jesus, ignoring all others.

yet you continue to condemn people to your hell! You continually play judge, jury and executioner - in other worlds you do the work of your God all without his say so!

Keep your words in mind from here on out, because now you will be held accountable for them!

I think he thought it said, "At what age should children be held down?" (taken literally and figuratively)

Actually, that's up to me and I'm not God. I'm a catechism instructor. Though I do not speak of myths and legends I do preface certain points with 'In the story of .....' I pray that when it comes to 'the story of' Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego I don't refer to them as Larry, Curly and Moe.

God bless you.

My mother met mormon missionaries, and started letting them teach us when I was ten. They started pushing the fact that we should be baptized as mormons. My mother made it seem like she would be so happy if we did it. I did it just to please my mother. I didn't believe what they were saying.

I've been saved for a couple of years now, and I will not push my children to get baptized. I don't want them getting baptized to please me. They should do it to please the Lord. My children are ready to be baptized whenever the Lord puts it in their heart.

So by this we can conclude that you believe/think a mere ritual is needed to please your God? What if they dont get dunked?(and do you believe the full body immersion is needed or just a splash?)

If you don't reach these kids when they are young, they will get devoured by the world when when graduate high school and go off to college or everyday life.

But why do we say something is wrong with a 30-40 yr dies and didn't know Jesus vs a 16-17 yr old that died and didn't know him.

I don't believe the ritual is needed, because we are justified by faith. I look at it more as a covenant with Jesus. I believe full body immersion is the best, if someone chooses to be baptized.

On the other hand, let's say someone is dying in the hospital. I don't believe they need to be baptized to go, and be with our Lord. I believe faith alone will save them.

Was this reply to me?

My children are taught about Jesus. We pray everyday, and learn every day. All I can do is teach my children, and be a good example. They will tell me when they are ready to be baptized, not the other way around.

No not you, just in general. We can say all day long, whenever that child is ready and that same child will be a adult saying whenever that adult is ready as well.

I seriously dont think a 13 yr old will go to hell for not accepting Jesus, if they dont really know what it means what Jesus did for them.

I know you. You're just another Hell bound Bible hater.

Matthew 7:18-20 (NKJV)
18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.
