If we are truly "born again" then we are in Messiah. As long as we are in Messiah, G-d does not see our sin. Although this is a complex issue we are forced by time and characters to limit our posts. Once we become born again we continue to sin and constantly need the grace of G-d to remain in him. We are commanded to be filled with the Spirit so we will not satisfy the lusts of the flesh, but no believer in Messiah is constantly filled with the Spirit and falls into sin.
.
The sin of homosexuality is no less deadly than gossip, lying, stealing, etc.
.
If you are "born again" and struggle with any sin:
1Jn 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
.
First we are encouraged to sin NOT, but if we do he is faithful to forgive us if we are truly repentant. Don't be discouraged and think G-d does not love you, but get up and back in the race. G-d knows your weaknesses, he is not surprised or disappointed. He wants to change you from within in his time. Submit yourself to him and trust he will mold you into the person he created you to be and meet all your needs.
a) refusing to accept Paul's comments on Gays as inspired by the holy ghost.

b) to repent as stated by Jesus.

c) to baptize as stated by Jesus.

This way they do what they believe in. One thing is sure: nowhere are Christians instructed to hate gays and discriminate against them and harass them, or anyone
else by that matter!

Yes, I defend gays right to love whom they please. And by the way, God Almighty never claimed that he gave up gays, but rather this is one of those things that Paul claimed, right?

Please know that nowhere in this passage that you cited does Peter claim that Paul's "letters" were "scripture." You see, it is you who is interpreting what Peter said. Further, in the NASB, the word “his” in verse 16 is written in italics, which mean that “his” did not appear in the earliest Greek manuscripts.

If I may very respectfully ask,“Are you familiar with a term called biblical criticism?”

Well, because I am a supporters of the rights of the LBGT community to love whom they please, I am often asked if I am gay and simply in the closet. Whether by choice or nature, I am a heterosexual male who is very secure in my own sexuality, and I am enjoying a very happy 20-year marriage. In addition, I have 8 children (ages 32, 31, 30, 22, 18, 16, 15, and 2) and 7 grandchildren (ages 16, 14, 10, 8, 8, 7, and 6).

Now, what I have found is that all three of my school-aged daughters have many friends who are gay, lesbian, or bi-sexual, because many of the adolescents at their high school (and throughout the nation) are trying to discovery and/or define their sexuality identity. In fact, my 16-year old daughter recently asked me what should she tell her gay male friend who had recently broken up with his partner because he wanted to keep their relationship a secret. After inquiring of my daughter about the nature of their relationship, I found out that her friend had not yet told his parents that he was gay for fear that they would not only love him, but also ostracize him as well. Thus, I told her that she might want to tell him that if on one hand, he truly loved his partner and wanted to be with him, yet on the other hand, was uncomfortable or fearful of what those who were closest to him might think or do, then he needed to communicate that feeling to his partner in the most compassionate way that he knew how. Also, I told her that she want to tell him that at some point, her was going to have to find the strength and courage to tell his parents, unless he knows for sure that his safety or security might be at stake.

Perhaps, one day either one of my children or grandchildren might confide in me that he or she is a homosexual. Thus, I am thankful that they know that regardless of their sexuality, they know that I will love and support them, as well as give them the best advice possible on what they might consider in light of living in a word where there is so much bigotry and hatred toward homosexuality.

In high school I found out one of my acquaintances was a homosexual male. When his parents found out he was a homosexual they kicked him out of the house, but because he was only 15 at the time, they had to legally provide something for him unless he were to run away. In their bizarre "wisdom" they decided to a good place to put him so he would change was all boys home. He was thrilled to be away from them as they pretty much disowned/hated him unless he would changed for them, but to try to get him to change they place him in an all boys home? The home was basically for boys whose parents had thrown them away for whatever reason.

Yes, I get the same thing when I come out for the rights of African Americans. People look at me, see that I'm obviously white (German/Swedish/English descent) and conclude "Well, he must be secretly black and hiding it. Why else would he support the rights of other Americans if he didn't belong to their group?"

I love the fact that these bigots cloak themselves in "religion" in order to proclaim someone less than them and conclude that anyone who supports people regardless of whether or not it benefits them directly are somehow immoral.

Why would you support a behavior that is not only harmful to the soul but to the body as well? Have you looked that amount sickness and death that happens to those who engage in homosexual sex? Check out these stats at the Center for Disease Control. http://www.cdc.gov/nchhstp/newsroom/docs/2012...

Did you hear about the guy who got an accident and banged his head so bad that after he recovered he was 'gay'?

Suppose this would happen to you???

You deny people their rights: and that's NOT Christian.

By the way: I am straight and hooked on blondes!

Christians are to stand for righteous Godly right, not rights for something God doesnt approve. Jesus came to uphold his fathers law, not cancel them out, so dont start with the Jesus didnt talk about it. He spoke against sexual immorality and gay sex is under that.

If someone banged their head and became Gay, im sure some prayed would get them on the right path. Being attracted to the same sex may not be listed as sin, but when you go through a same sex act, THAT IS SIN.

There is no way a straight person can have sex outside of carriage with person after person and be considered sexually immoral according to the bible, but gay people having sex will get a free pass from the sexual immorality. Sexual immorality applies to gay and straight people, and since God no where in the bible defines marriage as any thing other that man and woman, gay marriages will never be okay in the eyes of God.

I assume I am misunderstanding you or this is a typo, but you stated:

"There is no way a straight person can have sex outside of carriage with person after person and be considered sexually immoral according to the bible"

That says a heterosexual can have sex outside of marriage as many times as they wish and you do not feel it is considered sexually immoral according to the Bible. Is that what you intended to say?

Thank you and God bless.

So when someone calls out a group of people that are in sin and the bible says they are in sin, they know this but refuse to repent of their sin, and say the bible is mistranslated or find some other loophole.... I am wrong, but not them??

When i looked at porn in my mid 20's i saw where i was lusting in the bible, and while it took a while to get over it and stop, i didnt make excuse that God made me this way, so i am going to continue doing what im doing because God loves everyone, even though he says no one who lives a sexually immoral lifestyle will not go to heaven.

God loves everyone, but he hates sin. Just look through the OT how people died because they didnt obey God and Jesus shows that if we dont follow his fathers law, we will be held accountable as well. The grace we are under now its not a ticket to sin at freewill.

You: Christians are to stand for righteous Godly right, not rights for something God doesnt approve.

Answer: that's for THEM, amongst them, not forcing this on others!

You: talking crap about this and that gay sex.

Answer: I say that Jesus NEVER spoke one word against gay sex! So why would we believe that Gays are excluded? What you regard as sexual immoral is natural to gays, for they are born like this. And I really refure to believe Paul on this subject.

I believe that if gays get married, repent and baptize, they are equal Christian. But this is no proof, so only one or more gays can proof me right on this one: becoming tue holy persons - Christians.

So, when you were young you were a fornicating wanker, richt? The answer is simple: Get married, Repent and Baptize. Now you are Holy and can't look at the porn any longer, for it would be adultery! Simply pray for a wife and she will come, get married repent and baptize: AMEN.

As soon as you inject the bible, you lose any discussion with me. You have every right to worship the words in that book, but you continually fail to understand that NOT everyone has to believe in that book in order to have a relationship with God.....plain and simple!!!

Frankly, if you were looking at porn in your mid 20's.......that's your business, if you felt it was against the bible that was also your business......seems that what Evangelistic Christians don't get is that NOT EVERYONE has to believe as they do........you are entitled to believe as you want, I am entitled to believe as I want........it's called the Freedom of Religion and NO ONE PERSON HAS THE RIGHT TO TELL OTHERS HOW TO BELIEVE......no matter what you reasons may be.....and it is not your place to judge me or others, nor your place to condemn me.....that's God's place and He will decide that when I face Him on my Judgment day!!!

I really wonder just how many times you and others will have to post this message before it sink in.:)
The Bible was never meant to be a tool for judging others, just a book containing lessons/teachings for believers.
No one can ever judge those who are not Christians using their own Christian beliefs.
IMO, God will judge according to the state of your soul at death, no matter who you are and what faith, if any, you follow.

NorCal, some folks are just so dense and narrow minded that, no matter how you try to explain your own beliefs to them, it is like running into a brick wall.
Just leave them to their own beliefs and ignore their rantings.
Obviously, their beliefs are just not enough to assure them, so they attack others in hopes those attacks will somehow boost their own shallow and faltering beliefs, which apparently expose them as being so lacking in confidence in them.
