Let us note what the Scripture says!
Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? "Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,(Greek "arsenokoites" meaning "sodomites"), Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God." I Cor. 6:9,10.
This would end all hope of salvation for the sodomite and a lot of others, if it were not for the next verse of Scripture. "And such WERE some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God." 1st Corinthians 6:11.
So there you have the truth. Some of the Corinthian Christian had been sodomites, but they no longer were sodomites, for they had been washed, sanctified and justified by the Lord. They were no longer involved in this awful sin. They were not saved by quitting their sins, but they were saved out of their sins.
Homosexuals are 'sodomites'.
