God, IMO, doesn't like it when folks lie about Him and what He does or does not do.

True. Salvation is not 'earned' either.
It is according to the ACTUAL WEORDS OF JESUS in Matthew 25:31-46.

It comes at a price. But that price was already paid.
I can go to the Utility Dept. and pay your electric bill (assuming I know your personal information). They'll take the money, you don't have to say yea, nay, etc. and it's done.. Your debt is paid and you didn't HAVE to accept.

So if "Jesus paid the bill," then it's PAID.

No. Christ is not the electric company. The Bible is quite clear that we must accept.

Also, there is nothing we can do to EARN salvation. Those are the acts of those that already received Him. They are not rewarded for what they did, but they did it because they already belonged to Him.

Matt. 25:

31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:

33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:

36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?

39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:

43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.

44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?

45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.

46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

Matthew Henry's Commentary:

25:31-46 This is a description of the last judgment. It is as an explanation of the former parables. There is a judgment to come, in which every man shall be sentenced to a state of everlasting happiness, or misery. Christ shall come, not only in the glory of his Father, but in his own glory, as Mediator. The wicked and godly here dwell together, in the same cities, churches, families, and are not always to be known the one from the other; such are the weaknesses of saints, such the hypocrisies of sinners; and death takes both: but in that day they will be parted for ever.

Jesus Christ is the great Shepherd; he will shortly distinguish between those that are his, and those that are not. All other distinctions will be done away; but the great one between saints and sinners, holy and unholy, will remain for ever. The happiness the saints shall possess is very great. It is a kingdom; the most valuable possession on earth; yet this is but a faint resemblance of the blessed state of the saints in heaven. It is a kingdom prepared.

Words have played a vital role in life since the beginning of time. In the book of Genesis, God created the world and everything in it with His words. Today, as believers, we have that same God-like ability to speak those things which not as though they were.
Through God's Word, The Preacherman01 reveals the Bible secret of words and the vital importance of using the tongue to create rather than destroy.

Yes, if you cleverly quote Paul and certain verses in John. The Synoptics tell a different story, though.

Yes there is, according to you. You have to ACCEPT Jesus, with all the strings of belief system and behavior that come attached with that. That seems like an awful lot of "doing" for a supposedly "free gift of salvation." "Doing doesn't just mean good works. Doing is any prolonged effort, including psychological and spiritual effort.

Except that NOT WHAST THE TEXT SAYS, is it?

You are engaging in EISEGESIS, reading in your own preferred meaning in order to make it match with your Paul and John quotes because, well, you've been told that the Bible is one unified whole with a single message, even when it plainly isn't.

Hey, Gillette, I was just thinking about you. You asked what I needed to be saved from and I realize it's my own shortcomings. Even if it's just a bunch of superstitious mumbo jumbo it offers a systematic way of dealing with your shortcomings and in the best case be done with them. Besides, you get to hang around with a lot of nice people, the food is good and it's not Topix.

I wish you the best.

The social value of being part of a tightly-knit family group, church or otherrwise, is certainly well-known.

I know people who attend church mainly for the family ties it gives them in an otherwise lonely world. Nothing wrong with that, IMO. We do what we need to do to get by.

How bout that Bible Code date for us on when the Second Coming is to be expected?

You were so hot to tell us who our next President was going to be, remember?

Unless, of course, you wish to tell us at this time that you WERE WRONG.

Making fun of Gods words is not very smart Nettie! But that is nothing new for you, you do it all the time anyway. You know the answer to the question, but just in case you don't here is your answer to that question. No one knows the hour when Jesus will be back here, even Jesus don't know that only God knows the time FACT!!

I was right on with the President I knew who was going to win the white house. If you would take more time in reading a real Bible instead of this junk you put on these thread you would be a smart lady. No you can't do that because you rather believe in the lies that you was raise up to believe in!!

And the truth shall set you free!!

Nope, you were dead wrong.
If you would take a little time in realizing that, in trying to use "Bible Codes" to predict the future makes you going AGAINST what the Bible says, you would be much better off.

And, PreacherdudeWrongBreathe, I was not raised as a Catholic.
Sooooooooooooo
YOU ARE WRONG AGAIN!!
