Why so much hate towards Christianity on this forum?

Outside of the main physco P.O.J.C. and a few atheist derailers, it seems like everyone is quick to jump on what Christians are doing wrong and all that is wrong in their life, but don't look at their own flaws.

Despite the issues that Christianity has, there are many positives of it too like people turning to God and getting off of drugs, alcoholism, gangs, stealing, prostitution and many other examples.

Granted, but many people have done those things without the alleged help of faith. And when they do, they dont go around crowing about it, or making specious claims that God pulled them out of their pit. They just get on with their lives. But not a born-again American Xtian, they have to mention that God saved them like they got a backstage pass to a sold out show.

Its this constant harping on being the special one in the room, hand nurtured by this God, simply because "you" kicked a bad habit, etc. Great you beat back a demon, good for you, I'm happy for "you" - but dont make specious claims about this God reaching down and saving your miserable arse over others. Its self-aggrandizing, and arrogant - and contrary to what Jesus preached about...humility in all things, most especially faith and worhsip.

Its pretty amazing that Xtians have not realized its not your faith that bothers a lot of other people, including those with faith, its the "Look at ME, God choose ME!" self-aggrandizement and "I'm now in the special saved club and you're not!" nonsense that most irritates others.

You're not special, no one is special in a faith of a few million peoples...!

IMO, there is too much hate in the world period. The only solution is for each of us to to resolve this within ourselves so we are not contributing.
