Do you literally think He rested on His 7th day?
I believe it is a metaphorical analogy.
What does "day" mean? How long is a "day"?

Please elaborate.

Wrong.
God knows the path I freely chose which happened to be A. If I chose B God would know I chose B. Seems simple enough for most of us.You said it yourself and I will quote you. "God knows that you will choose path A". How can I choose path B or C if I chose A?
You're incredibly stupid, so I'll have to dumb this down as far as possible.

If God knows that you will choose A, then you cannot choose B because if you do choose B then God would be wrong.

If God knows the future, then you don't have free will. You have the ILLUSION of free will. You BELIEVE that you are free to choose between A, B, or C, but since God knows in advance that you're going to choose A, you have to choose A.

Either God knows the future, or you have free will. But not both.

Christians suffer from cognitive dissonance. That's why they can't grasp this simple concept.

What a lot of rot...many parents know what their child will choose, when giving their child a choice....because of having more knowledge then their child and also knowing much of their child's likes and dislikes.
Your brain contains a lot of rot. Your reply is what is known as a false equivalency, which is a logical fallacy.

No parent knows every single choice their child will make in advance. God, however, is expected to know every single choice that every human will make in advance.

If a child likes the colors blue and green equally, and is given the choice between a blue balloon or a green balloon, a parent may GUESS which one they'll select, but they cannot KNOW for a fact which one it will be. God, if he is omniscient, will know with 100% certainty which one will be chosen.

You've equated a parent's reasonable knowledge of their child's personality and preferences with God's absolute knowledge of every single choice that every human will ever make in the entire life.

Those are two very different things.

Well he does state ' that God rested on the seventh day ..and that there is a day of rest for the people of God

he does tell us that the original Jews could not enter his rest because of disobedience...then his word put us under command ' to do our utmost to enter into his rest.'

Sure I can compare the psychic in this example and I did. If the psychic is correct than he/she knew before hand what would happen yet was not the cause of the action proving that knowing and causing are two different things.
God is said to be omniscient. There has never been a psychic with a record of 100% accuracy.

You can certainly compare them, but it's a crappy comparison.

You have misunderstood...God gives us the choice of choosing either good or bad...nothing interferes with your choice.

after all that was the tree Adam and Eve ate from

from your choice God is accurately able to know what you will choose hence forth....because you reap what you sow.

You were asked how long a 'day' is in terms of the six 'days' of Creation, and you didn't provide an answer.

Why not? Don't you know?

Thank you. So it is a metaphorical analogy. As is what I think the rest of the bible is. The next question is "why do people take the bible as such a literal text?" I truly want to know why that is.

Did God know that Adam and Eve would eat the fruit?

If he did, then they HAD to eat it or else God would have been wrong.

If he didn't, then God doesn't know everything.

I can't believe that you can't comprehend this. It's so simple!

The choice was their decision...and it was a fair choice...because they were not defiled by sin..and had been created in the image of God..

They had free will

God wouldn't have had to 'test their love' if he had already programed them to obey [love] him..

Love is given freely ..you can't force nor can you demand LOVE.

God wants us to LOVE him, of our own free will.

So God made the heavens and the Earth on the first day - meaning a 24 hour day, correct?

But since God didn't make the sun until the fourth 'day' then you really can't say that the first and second 'days' were 24 hours long.

In fact, the sun is irrelevant. It serves absolutely no purpose. Here's why:

Day and night existed before the sun existed. We measure day and night by whether or not our part of the planet is facing the sun. So, since day and night existed before the sun did, we don't need the sun to have day and night.

Vegetation covered the Earth on the third day. The sun didn't exist until the fourth day. Plants can't exist without sunlight, so sunlight must have existed before the sun existed. Therefore the sun isn't needed for us to have vegetation.

The sun serves no purpose. There was day and night before the sun and vegetation as well.

So why did God make the sun since it serves no purpose? What a waste!

Your previous post in response to my query indicated to me that you did not believe it was literal. Sorry I misunderstood.
So how long was a "day" back then. I just can't seem to grasp a literal translation of those stories. That makes no sense to me at all.

Your answer to his reasonable questions is "Your a moron"?
Really?
Now who is more likely to be a moron here?

How long is a day?

Jesus said he had to do the works of God while there was still light and that there is 24 hours in a day , and that the night is coming when no man can do any work'

What did he mean?

“What, me worry?”

Did God know the future before he created the universe?
