What scientists claims the universe is eternal?
When it comes to the truth of Christ they have no clue period, the only reason there is anything called science is cause God invented it all period, the only thing that is eternal is Heaven or Hell and they are finding they cant be right about all there findings alot of times they cant explain it, cause God only wants us to know what we need to know for now, as far a science everything is happening now just the way God said it was cause he sets the scene's for everything and as far as 911 and other bad things going on, it is a wake up call to let us know there is more to come so you can reject Him or go with Him now cause one day doesent matter what scince people say or anybody we ALL our going to kneel and confess Him as King of Kings and Lord of Lords Im Thankful Jesus didnt give up on me and so glad I will be with Jesus someday...

Like I said; you shouldn't project your nihilistic world view on atheists. I don't live my life with that outlook and neither does any other atheist I know. I have plenty of meaning and purpose in my life. I have wonderful children (my own and some extended) that give me reasons to live. I'm engaged to the love of my life. I enjoy helping people in need. So basically you're just wrong about atheist's lives.
<quoted text>
I'm sorry that you don't understand that your actions have effects and consequences on others around you. It says a lot about your concept of morality.I mean really, if you truly believe that if God didn't exist that anything is acceptable then I really, really, really suggest that you please stay in your religion.
You can live your life anyway you want and you can tell yourself it has meaning. The problem is that it doesn't. Its a hopeless life. What will you do when you lose a loved one and realize that you will never see them again?

I agree, your deity is a fictional character. So is "Roland Deschain", an extremely well fleshed out character in a collection of books by Stephen King - "The Dark Tower" series. I started using the name as my 'nic' because I was reading (and enjoying) the books when I first started posting on Topix.

Again, know the Truth, and cease denying it, for in your denial of the evident truth publishes a foolishness. For all whom reject the manifested Lord God, the Lord God will also reject from his heaven and he will rightly throw them into hell. For you will love the Lord your God whom has made you, and him only will you worship.

Not if people like you have anything to say about it. Religious right get off on passing laws to control what two consenting adults do in their bedrooms.

WHO WAS THIS GOD?
- God was his father
- He was born in a cowshed.
- A human woman, a virgin, was his mother.
- His birth was prophesized by a star in the heavens.
- At a marriage ceremony, he performed the miracle of converting water into wine.
- He was powerless to perform miracles in his hometown.
- His followers were born-again through baptism in water.
- He rode triumphantly into a city on a donkey. Tradition records that the inhabitants waved palm leaves.
- He had 12 disciples.
- He was accused of licentious behavior.
- He was killed near the time of the Vernal Equinox, about MAR-21.
- He died "as a sacrifice for the sins of the world."
- He was hung on a tree, stake, or cross.
- After death, he descended into hell.
- On the third day after his death, he returned to life.
- The cave where he was laid was visited by three of his female followers.
- He later ascended to heaven.
- His titles: God made flesh. Savior of the world Son of God.
- He is "God made man," and equal to the Father.
- He will return in the last days.
- He will judge the human race at that time.
- Humans are separated from God by original sin. The godman's sacrificial death reunites the believer with God and atones for the original sin.

Did you guess Jesus Christ? Well, again you'd be WRONG!! HE WAS... OSIRIS-DIONYSUS, an Egyptian God that existed thousands of years before Christ allegedly came around

You're right unfortunately and the offspring has to pay the price..

I know of a Christian family where double first cousins married..They married because the bible says not to marry outside of your faith.. There was no unrelated people in the church to choose from so these double first cousins married knowing there children would pay the price..They pumped out 13 children, the first being stillborn..Of the other 12, 3 were blind, 1 was crippled and mentally retarded...One of the blind children was my mother and I had to watch her go through life blind..Things like this happens when religion infects the brain shutting down rational thought..

If atheism is true then no one is held accountable after they die. This is why atheism is so bankrupt. It can never deal with evil. People like the 911 terrorists and Hitler got away with it.
If you are going to live like an atheists then live only for yourself because this is the only life you have. But don't think that your life matters when in reality it doesn't. Lie to yourself but don't lie to others.
Clearly you didn't read the post to which you're responding, as I covered everything you just said in it. Lazy and dishonest. Par for the course for you.

I will take this as an admission that I'm right about you not having any idea how Lawrence Krauss defines "nothing," and that you were talking out of your ass (again). Don't think that we don't notice when you skip subjects when you've been busted. It's a common dishonest tactic. There's one thing you'll never do, and that's admit error. You are perfect in all thought, because God guides your thoughts. So, even if you say something demonstrably wrong, it doesn't matter, because if you don't admit it, it can't be REALLY wrong, and that means God is still on your side. You are such a petty little intellectual coward.

Atheists don't see Atheism as you do. If what you're saying about Atheism was true, all Atheists would think life was meaningless. All Atheists would be selfish and wholly indifferent: to others' suffering, global environmental problems, social injustices, govt. tyrrany and corruption ....etc. If BEING an Atheist were as you describe Atheism, Atheists wouldn't give a damn about anything - they'd all be miserable, unhappy, and unfullfilled.
But they're not, are they. They don't live a tortured existence without God. No, they're perfectly content living believing there isn't One.

How do you know animals have the same attitudes about sex that humans do?
When God created man he was perfect. Then man fell and sin entered the world and warped man's capacities including his sex drive.
To say that…

“When God created man he was perfect. Then man fell…”

…is a contradiction. If man was created perfect he would be incapable of error.

This is a perfect example the allegory contained in the Bible.

Eric Fromm, German social psychologist, psychoanalyst and holocaust survivor pointed out that being able to distinguish between good and evil is generally considered to be a virtue not a sin. Fromm understood the story of Adam and Eve as an allegorical explanation for human biological, and psychological evolution and how our ancestors developed into self-aware beings. This is why they felt naked and ashamed. Human beings are the only animals that blush.

Your right. Most of them don't think deeply about their atheism. If they did it would lead them to despair.
