It's a bit more difficult for grownups, isn't it. The entry and exit of God into and from the world are certainly fraught with difficulty. I find it best to just leave my doubts at the door and do what I'm supposed to do.

God bless you.

ps: I do occasionally ask God to clear some of that stuff up but He just says do more of what I'm supposed to do and less of what I'm not supposed to do, like goofing off on Topix, and call it a day.

It appears once again you are just offering the same ole same ole. On other threads you fight against all that can be disproven scientifically yet this matter being catholic must be accepted as it.

What has the pope said about this?

You and your father Satan conceived the Roman soldier story and you are too ignorant to seek and know the real truth even told in the OT! Now go back into your total darkness and ignorance.

Isa 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

That's not what my Bible says, neiter the Catholic New Jersalem nor the ABS non-denominational nor the Jewish Publication Society translation. Unfortunately, I decided at the last minute to wear a tie Thursday and arrived one verse too late to hear what Decon F read from the pulpit.

I did and it doesn't answer the question posed to you and I have come to expect you to know little about your own faith. This very post proves you have no idea how to even navigate the site itself. I appreciate you proving my point to every poster reading this thread. Thank you.

It's my faith, not yours, so don't be telling me what I know or don't know about it.

It seems you got up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. What happened? Did you wake up to find another wino on your side?
.

The Catholic Symbol of Faith:

I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible.

And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all worlds; God of God, Light of Light, very God of very God; begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father, by whom all things were made.

Who, for us men and for our salvation, came down from heaven, and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the virgin Mary, and was made man; and was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate; He suffered and was buried; and the third day He rose again, according to the Scriptures; and ascended into heaven, and sits on the right hand of the Father; and He shall come again, with glory, to judge the quick and the dead; whose kingdom shall have no end.

And I believe in the Holy Ghost, the Lord and Giver of Life; who proceeds from the Father and the Son; who with the Father and the Son together is worshipped and glorified; who spoke by the prophets.

And I believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. I acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins; and I look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come

Yes it is your faith and you should know it backwards, forwards, and upside down but it appears you do not. I am only trying to under if you truly believe Mary had a virgin birth and as to be expected you did not answer the question once again but as I have stated before I have come to expect that from you as a poster.

I woke up today with my cat batting at my hand wanting me to get up. I have no need for a "winno on my side" however you may considering you lack any in-depth knowledge of your own faith.

"Curiosity is the lust of the mind” and I can see you lack any true lust in life. I appreciate your exchange and can see you lack any true knowledge on the issue and was inquiring about.

Oh you are truly gullible, the myth of Jesus virgin birth was put about by the Roman founders of your church to fit in with the old Jewish prophesy in their holy books. There are none do blind so on. It's all a put up job & the more one learns about this event the more ridiculous it becomes. virgin birth, dinosaurs on Noahs boat, the resurrection FFS, education must terrify the living god out of you retarded people!.

I still struggle to see how you can blindly follow what the leaders of your church tell you, I attended a Catholic college in the UK, Marist college, I believe there's one in the US too, near NY on the banks of the Hudson River & despite their attempts to indoctrinate me I could see the elephant in the room from an early age, so I received their top notch education & ignored the religious part, the fact that I didn't stuck to the programme did cause me a few problems, but I used them for my education & made the right noises where the religion was concerned. I then abandoned their catholic doctrine completely when I graduated and took to agnosticism. You sound like I used to be back in the day, yet you can't let go

Yeah, me too. Raised by the good nuns and the Jesuits. We could opt out of religion class and tutor the ghetto in the three 'R's and that's what I did.

Why do you say 'blindly'? I've grown accustomed to not believing unbelievable stuff but what I'm doing is working out just fine and if the faith comes with the practice things should turn out very well. I'm pretty sure when I'm dead I'll stay dead but that's really kind of irrelevant.

Peace on Earth.

ps: I can't speak for anyone but myself but it sure seems the goal of the mission and its congration is Peace on Earth. Kind of hard to argue with that.

Its just paganism. A mistranslation of Isaiah 7:14 started it and Matthew 1:23 (or 24 cant remember) finished it. All will be revealed though

True, but peace in earth has been in very short supply, and the reason for that is in a long way due to the various religions, Even Budhism has blood on it's hands

And I'm sorry I accused you of blindly following church doctrine, as you plainly dont. I ment you still attend mass and prob take communion and say your confession,my mum was catholic as were her Irish parents, I'm an agnostic catholic, I sometimes declare myself catholic but as the existence of a god can neither be proved nor disproved I believe agnosticism is for me. The college I attended was free for me, but many non catholic parents chose to have their kids educated there at great expense. So my Catholicism was worth it. Sorry for any Typos, I'm on my I phone and it often leads to typos . Happy Christmas to you

God wanted to have a holiday, so He asked St. Peter for suggestions on where to go. "Why not go to Jupiter?" asked St. Peter. "No, too much gravity, too much stomping around," said God. "Well, how about Mercury?" "No, it's too hot there." "Okay," said St. Peter, "what about Earth?" "No," said God, "They're such horrible gossips. When I was there 2000 years ago, I had an affair with a Jewish woman, and they're still talking about it." ~Author Unknown
