Try reading the rest of the New Testament. When he died on the cross he fulfilled the law, so what he said was true. While he was still alive nothing from the law changed, but once he died he fulfilled the law and the law changed.
Hebrews 7:12
New King James Version (NKJV)
12 For the priesthood being changed, of necessity there is also a change of the law.
----------
Luke 24:44
44 He said to them,“This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms.”
Romans 10:4
4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.
Galatians 3:23-25
23 But before faith came, we were kept under guard by the law, kept for the faith which would afterward be revealed. 24 Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25 But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor.
Not true. The law remains the same. His death is not a way around the law but a way to maintain the law. And here I thought that the "God of the Bible" was supposed to be "unchanging". I guess that your "god" does change to suit your needs. No if only he could keep up with the times.

The OT doesn't apply because it's silly.

I think that I may have misinterpreted your intent. For I hope that mean that about the NT as well.

Matthew 5:18

New International Version (NIV)

18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.

Zooming in on the point about the changing laws after Jesus death.

"until heaven and earth disappear" Has this happened? Did I miss something?

"not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished"

Your point is invalid. Seems Jesus was fairly to-the-point about the law NOT changing... until the end of the Earth.

He's not copying your "copy", your post content. That's what your buddies do, mimicking your gestures mindlessly. Lots of people pick the same monikers everyday. I wanted to use "lotuseater" but, apparently several other people chose that as a moniker before me and I didn't want to add idiot numbers after it so moved on. I can't say, "Great minds think alike!", because for all I know those people really do eat lotus blossoms.:-/

Whatever.

You only wish that someone was flattering you.

The christian cult wants the old testament to apply to gays, and anything else they hate, plus the ten commandments but not apply to things they like.
The old testament does apply
“For truly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass the law until all is accomplished. Whoever then relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but he who does them and teaches them shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.”(Matthew 5:18-19 RSV) Clearly the Old Testament is to be abided by until the end of human existence itself. None other then Jesus said so.
2) All of the vicious Old Testament laws will be binding forever. "It is easier for Heaven and Earth to pass away than for the smallest part of the letter of the law to become invalid." (Luke 16:17 NAB)
3) Jesus strongly approves of the law and the prophets. He hasn’t the slightest objection to the cruelties of the Old Testament. "Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets. I have come not to abolish but to fulfill. Amen, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest part or the smallest part of a letter will pass from the law, until all things have taken place." (Matthew 5:17 NAB)
3b) "All scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for refutation, for correction, and for training in righteousness..." (2 Timothy 3:16 NAB)
3c) "Know this first of all, that there is no prophecy of scripture that is a matter of personal interpretation, for no prophecy ever came through human will; but rather human beings moved by the holy Spirit spoke under the influence of God." (2 Peter 20-21 NAB)

Well yeah, it does. The men of Sodom desiring sex with men rather than with women.

Genesis 13:13 (NKJV)
13 But the men of Sodom were exceedingly wicked and sinful against the LORD.

Just like gays today!

I hope you don't mix fabrics together. It is a sin in the old testament as well. Be we all know this whole thing goes back to picking and choosing.

Also, what about hermaphrodites? People born with both sets of genitalia. Are they sinners? If someone can be born physically different in that way why is it so hard to believe they could not be born mentally that way?

Calling people you don't know "wicked and evil" seems you are judging now.

The men of Sodom were still "exceedingly wicked against the Lord", as are Sodomites today. Has NOTHING to do with the Covenant.

1 Corinthians 6:9 (NKJV)
9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites,

The New Covenant is not a ticket to sin at free will. The only laws that were abolished were the ceremonial and sacrificial laws. All the other moral laws are still in place.
