Try Starsky and Hutch and see where that gets you.
Or if you go back that far, try something like Soupy Sales, Gunsmoke, The Ed Sullivan Shew.
I still remember when The Beatles were first aired on The Ed Sullivan Show. He was a strange man, but the variety of his shows were interesting entertainment at the time. And how he always pronounced it The Ed Sullivan Shew.

Ok, now how about The Rifleman, Bat Masterman, or Have Gun – Will Travel?
Or The Honeymooners with Jackie Gleason?
Or The Lawrence Welk Show?(Bla...)
My father was a huge Lawrence Welk fan and a John Wayne fan as well......didn't watch a whole lot of westerns......but lots of War movies and every year we watched the Ten Commandments with Charleston Heston and Yul Brenner!!!

LOL

A few years ago one of my daughters and her little girl came to visit, and we were getting ready to go visit my mother.
I went into the bathroom and started putting on a little makeup and my granddaughter came in to 'help' me.
She kept telling me to put 'more over here' and 'more over there' of liquid makeup on my face, then, finally she just shook her head and said 'Grandma, you have over a thousand wrinkles' and left.

You should see me after my little girl does my makeup.
She thinks I am a living, breathing Barbie for her to experiment on.

She is pretty good at braiding hair though. One day,I put her up to going after Bryan. I showed her pic of when straightened his hair. Haha! He had the fun of sitting for fifteen minutes while she tried to straighten his hair, then she gave up.
I haven't seen the hair straightening thingy since.:P

It is probably better than being called,"the old woman". I've heard even young men call their wives that. Ugh!

I've seen Ed Sullivan on YT. Don't know the other two though.

I don't watch much TV but do like some of the old movies and stuff exp Betti Page. She is my idle. She was a pinup model and did a few dance videos and some funny bondage flicks that were considered to be so racy in her day that the photographers, the production co. and she were taken to court over it. Compared to what is done today her pics and little clips were innocent.
When I did research on her I couldn't believe that the gov. took her to court. Kind of reminds me of the prudish mentality certain fundies on these threads.

I agree with your statement, but some individuals believe that having children is their main purpose of existence and others should do the same. Many people are dealt challenges in life where procreation is physically nonexistent nor is the option to adopt. You're right, people create their own purpose that is meaningful to them.
If anything, people are doing the world a favour by NOT procreating. Most people who think that evolution has a 'mind' controlling it probably don't fully understand the processes involved. It's likely we will eventually 'evolve' ourselves out of existence because of our innate desire to procreate. That is, if religious fundamentalism doesn't kill us off first.
