Big mistake Big Al. God, the ULTIMATE Intelligence, did create life. Stephen Hawkings means absolutely nothing to me. He's not that smart, it's just that some folks of average or lesser intelligence hold him in awe for some reason.
Stephen Hawking is a highly respected logical thinker. You are an ordinary believer. Believers are a dime a dozen and superior logical thinkers are few and far between.

Yeah, right. You are no more than an ordinary non-believer that looks up to "smarter" non-believers. Smarter than you maybe. Non believers such as yourself are no more than a dime a dozen at the local BORING stores.

The writer of 2 Peter was scientifically ignorant which is what you would expect of a second century peasant. The earth has always hung in space; it never ever stood in water. If you had a basic science education you would have realized that the writer of this Epistle got his facts very wrong. That makes him an unreliable witness.

Numbers 15:15
One ordinance shall be both for you of the congregation, and also for the stranger that sojourneth with you, an ordinance for ever in your generations: as ye are, so shall the stranger be before the LORD.

Psalm 119:152
I have known from my earliest days that your laws will last forever.

Proverbs 28:9
If anyone turns a deaf ear to my instruction, even their prayers are detestable.

Deuteronomy 13
That prophet or dreamer must be put to death for inciting rebellion against the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt and redeemed you from the land of slavery. That prophet or dreamer tried to turn you from the way the Lord your God commanded you to follow. You must purge the evil from among you.

I can continue if you want? OH and before you ask, Deuteronomy displays that the law is eternal because if one came preaching new commandments (as he was supposed to) then how would we know if he is a false prophet or not? And before you answer, consider this Deuteronomy 13 verse I put up

You’re correct I am just an ordinary goon trying to do the best I can with what I have to work with. I do however realize that some of us have been given more to work with in the area of thinking ability than others and I am not too arrogant to admit it and take a few tips from them.

Romans 8:7 The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God's law, nor can it do so.
Silliness. The mind and body are working together. The mind works for the body and the body for the mind. Without the other neither is worth much.

I'm ONLY hostile to HOSTILE Xtians and other hostile believers who are hostile to me first.

The day you can show me a notarized letter from your God, naming you HIS spokesman...is the day...well its the day of the first provable miracle - ever!

And YOU? Nothing but the penny for two dozen type of Xtian. You look up and see the ceiling, and ask it questions, and that thumping you think is a response...that's the neighbors above you...and the words, "Harder, harder, harder...Oh God, yes! Oh God!!" - is not your God's reply.

Seems like YOU are on the gallows but are willingly ignorant of that fact.

Do you get a boner when you tag each post with a Bible quote?

So immature.

"Were of old" - how old? Doesn't say does it? Just that its old. You're old...

Its you with the dilemma. If nothing can be created without design, you are stuck with there being a creator of your creator. Has to be if we use your (non)logic. Its you putting the noose around your neck, not me.

I don't think your have the qualifications required to make that kind of assessment. First you have to understand what I said. Second you have to provide compelling supporting evidence.

You have given no indication that you understood my points. You supplied not one scrap of evidence, even of the invalid variety. Zip. Nada. Zilch.

Please explain to me, with evidence, why anyone here should take you seriously?

These Old Testament verses refer to the Israelites and those who lived among them. Did the various laws automatically apply to foreigners who do not reside among the Israelites. Answer: No.

Do Jews/Israelis of today keep all the various Old Testament laws? Answer: No. In fact, because Jews were persecuted within their own homeland and then exiled and fled to other countries, it became impossible to continue practicing all the various laws, including sacrificial (or ritual) laws.

According to Jeremiah 31:27,
"Behold, days are coming," declares the LORD, "when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, not like the covenant which I made with their fathers in the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to them, "declares the LORD. "But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days," declares the LORD, "I will put My law within them, and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. "And they shall not teach again, each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying,'Know the LORD,' for they shall all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them," declares the LORD, "for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more."
What is most notable about the New Covenant? Answer: It is different than the Old Covenant, which the Israelites broke. All of the Law was held together by the Old Covenant. The Old and New Covenant was the basis for having a relationship with God. The blessing of the Old were based on obedience to the Law, while the blessings of the New are based on faith in Jesus Christ and following his Commandments to love God and love one's neighbor, and in doing so, one fulfills the meaning and spirit of the Law. Hence, this is why Jeremiah spoke of the New Covenant as being one in which, "I will put My law within them, and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. "And they shall not teach again, each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying,'Know the LORD,' for they shall all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them,..."

The key New Testament chapter for the Christian concept of the New Covenant is Hebrews. Hebrews 8:7–13 is quoted below:
7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, there would have been no occasion to look for a second. 8 For he finds fault with them when he says: "Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will establish a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, 9 not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt. For they did not continue in my covenant, and so I showed no concern for them, declares the Lord. 10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my laws into their minds, and write them on their hearts, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 11 And they shall not teach, each one his neighbor and each one his brother, saying,'Know the Lord,' for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest. 12 For I will be merciful toward their iniquities, and I will remember their sins no more." 13 IN SPEAKING OF A NEW COVENANT, HE MAKES THE FIRST ONE OBSOLETE. AND WHAT IS BECOMING OBSOLETE AND GROWING OLD IS READY TO VANISH AWAY.

I like how you ignored my question to you. I'll ask it at the end of this post. Heres another verse to consider

Isaiah 56
This is what the Lord says:

“Maintain justice
and do what is right,
for my salvation is close at hand
and my righteousness will soon be revealed.
2 Blessed is the one who does this—
the person who holds it fast,
who keeps the Sabbath without desecrating it,
and keeps their hands from doing any evil.”

3 Let no foreigner who is bound to the Lord say,
“The Lord will surely exclude me from his people.”
And let no eunuch complain,
“I am only a dry tree.”

4 For this is what the Lord says:

“To the eunuchs who keep my Sabbaths,
who choose what pleases me
and hold fast to my covenant—

Wait what? Does this not say for the foreigner to hold fast to His covenant? How could they do that when they do not follow the commandments?

The new covenant includes the law right?

33 “This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel
after that time,” declares the Lord.
“I will put my law in their minds
and write it on their hearts.
I will be their God,
and they will be my people.

This clearly says that He will right His law(maybe the one He gave to Israel?) on their (Israel and Judah's; NOT THE WORLD'S) heart. So the New covenant includes the law that you are saying was done away with.

Here is my question lol

Deuteronomy 13 says that a false prophet may come to test Israel's love for God and His commands. Well how would Israel know if a false prophet was one if the commands were going to change? Especially since Israel was NEVER told that the commands would eventually change or become done away with. Well that is, unless you have scripture that displays this. Do you?
