I heard people try to explain the trinity by saying it is like water,Steam and ice all are H2O.

My question is do all exist at the same time?

Yes, the ice from the mountain feeds the lake that feeds the geysers.

Sure they can try, but its a foolish and downright stupid analogy. As water/ice/steam is not a Being with a supreme intelligence. Plus an ice cube is not steam at the same time...and the same water does acts independently of the others as we've been told about the triune Xtian God. The ice is not off being steam, while also being in liquid form someplace else.

Reality is the Trinity is totally impossible to truly explain properly to anyone with a functioning brain. Any time anyone tries their very first sentences/statement only leads to more and more questions, which are never truly answered...as the answer is usually; "Well you just have to believe in the absurd set of conditions I'm trying to explain." If still you resist, the next reply will be something along these lines; "Believe it or be damned you heathen spawn!"

Yeah but the ocean water is a mixed bag of salinity as are the ice caps. So its not the same water all over the place at the same time.

Do tears differ from ocean spray?

They both express restless emotion, one from the heart one from the sea.

How does water, steam and ice explain the trinity then?

are they all different are they a different trinity?

Deuteronomy 6:4
Darby Translation (DARBY)
4 Hear, Israel: Jehovah our God is one Jehovah;

Ephesians 4:6
Darby Translation (DARBY)
6 one God and Father of all, who is over all, and through all, and in us all.

Ephesians 4:6

6 one God and Father of all, who is over all, and through all, and in us all.
The Father, the Son and the holy Spirit are all God, just three different personages of God.

One God,
the Father almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all things visible and invisible.

One Lord Jesus Christ,
the Only Begotten Son of God,
born of the Father before all ages.
Begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father;
through him all things were made.

The Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son,
who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified.

All the same only different.

Throw a cube of ice on a hot stove. You'll see all three that came from one.

Spiritually, the One is Jesus the Christ. He is the Son. He is the Father. He is the Holy Spirit.

Ice, water, and steam (water vapor) are three different names for the same thing, the relationship of H2O molecules to each other at different temperatures. One molcule of H2O cannot change from ice to water to steam (vapor). The hydrgen of H2O molecules forms bonds with the hydrogen of other H2O molecules with more or less strength depending on temperature. Groups of H20 molecules below 32 degrees F (strong hydrogen bonds) are called ice, groups of H2O molecules between 32 and 212 degrees F (medium strength hydrogen bonds) are called water, and groups of H2O molecules above 212 degrees F (very loose hydrogen bonds) are called steam or water vapor. The H2O molecules remain exactly the same in all three states only their relationship to each other changes.

I don't think this describes the irrational concept that three separate and distinct gods are considered to be only one.

So does God change to ice and water and steam at different temps?

I'm agnostic. I don't even know if there is a "God". I would guess that if you think ice water and steam is a good analogy for the trinity you would have to think that the three gods in one change with the temperature too.

Aww, that's cute. Hallmark? Or something Ellen said?

The ocean now has emotions? Its restless? In need of a good hobby? Maybe work-out more, some PX-90? Could we escape from under this tendency to anthropomorphize everything...? Its so annoying...

BTW, yesterday I had a really serious tearing-up moment...I got something in my eye! The only emotion was, "Damn it, I said not yet!"- to my employee who started a tool up too soon. Tearing-up the natural cleansing mechanism...evolved specifically to protect. Tears are a protection mechanism even when brought on by emotional stimuli. Think about it, thats my Hallmark moment.

I'll have two fingers of JD over a few Jesus cubes.

Can I get my carpet Trinity-steamed cleaned?

Man, its raining Holy Spirits out there!

I think we found a whole new chain of theme related businesses! Trinity Themed Bars/Pubs, Water parks - the Triune Twister slide - go from water to ice to steam! Bottled waters! Trinity Water, "Drink the divine and have your body hydrated and soul rejuvenated!" Or "Jesus Water, bottled right at the source - his pierced side!"

I gotta go, gotta go Google trademark registration! Domain names too!
