I know you have probably lost count but this is just one more way to prove the Bible god is just man made mythology. You have a bunch of men that are all praying to the imaginary holy ghost for revelation on their vote and they never match. This should be the most important decision in Christianity but the cardinals special voice from the holy spirit is different for each of them. It usually takes 4 or more rounds of voting because when the holy spirit talks to a person it comes from their own mind. The mind virus of religion is a powerful thing but it has nothing to do with god.

I know Christians can talk to god but you're really just talking to your self. If you don't believe me just ask Jesus a question you can't answer yourself. You always give him multiple choice or yes/no questions that you answer with your own mind. Try asking Jesus the answer to a complicated math equation you can't possibly solve without a calculator. You already know what will happen, you will die waiting for the answer just like you will die waiting for him to come back. So Jesus sucks at math and doesn't care who is elected Pope or the bible is a myth, you can decide for yourself.

I think it's hilarious that this retired popes only job will be prayer but he couldn't get a prayer answered for himself! It's common for people to live to be in the 100-120 year old range but the pope had to retire from a life long position because the mythical sky fairy didn't answer his prayers for good health. When he prays that all of his fellow Christians will refrain from molesting children, prayer denied! When a Christian gets caught doing something that bad do you think they actually believe in the bible god?

Since Catholics do not follow the bible in full but pick and choose, can you explain to me your logic?

Sure but most Christians are not logical and they always choose the bible over logic because they think it's the word of god. So instead of arguing over who is the real Christians just prove it to your self. Don't you think a billion Catholics think they are the real Christians? Do you think they have more authority because they were Christians 1500 years before any other denomination?

So just prove it to yourself, when your church has to make an important decision, just go to the holy spirit in prayer. Then each one of you real Christians can write down the answer you got from prayer and put it in a sealed envelope. Since the answer comes from your mind and not god they will not match. If each one says they got the answer to this very important church decision from prayer, why would they be different?

1. Im not a Catholic
2. Im not a christian
3. You proved my point. If the Catholics do not follow the God they claim to or follow a different god but call him the God of Israel, then of course they will not get an answer.
4. What would the God of ISrael have to do with catholics? Especially when MANY of the doctrines of the catholic church CONTRADICT the bible in both NT and OT?
5. Even if real followers of the God of Israel prayed about the catholic church they would not get a definitive answer. Why? Because of point number 4. Any other statements?

I don't know about that. I reported in the other forum that I repaired a kneeler stand and when I first decided to measure it I had no measuring stick but a piece of 8-1/2 x 11 paper and said 'Please Lord, make it eight and a half inches' and that's exactly what it was. What about 'The Miracle of the Dead Battery'? Stuff like that happens all the time. As much as I want to dismiss it as mere coincidence or freak occurance it just happens altogether too often.

Praise the Lord.

That's right, a Jesuit. I was raised in a Jesuit high school and those guys are smart.

AMDG: Ad Maiorem Dei Gloria. To the Greater Glory of God, the Jesuit motto.

We've been praying for a good Pope every day at the end of Mass since Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI announced he would step down. Obviously everyone in my Mexican mission church was quite pleased, especially all the Franciscos and Franciscas and yours truly whose middle name is Francis.

Peace be with you.

Christians don't follow a pope, we only follow our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Roman Catholicism only came into existence in the 300's AD and they don't represent Christianity in any sense of the word. The RCC is riddled in false doctrine and pagan rituals.

Question: "What is Roman Catholicism?"
http://www.gotquestions.org/roman-catholicism...

----------

Four important things to understand.
1) We are all sinners (Romans 3:23, Romans 3:10)

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"

2) Sin has consequences, i.e.-Death and Hell (Romans 6:23)

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

3) God provided a way for us through Christ Jesus (Romans 5:8)

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

4) Salvation is through FAITH in Jesus Christ alone (Romans 10:9)

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
----------

John 3:36- He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

They could've voted for this old guy at the last conclave in 2005.

They didn't.

<quoted text>
No, actally they did vote for Cardinal Broglio in the last conclave, he was just short of the votes Cardinal Ratzinger received.

I have to hand it Pope Francis, the first thing he jokingly said to the college of Cardinals after being elected was;"May god forgive you for what you have done".
Every pope should have a self-effacing sense of humor.

One should not take oneself too seriously, especially when endowed with a great deal of power.

Pope Francis had some luggage left at the hotel, he didn't send a lackey to collect it.
He got into a little Italian put-put car, drove himself to the hotel and got his own luggage.
In full dress Papal garb, no less.
Humility tells a great deal about a man's personality and character.

Yes, it's high time we got a Jesuit Pope.
Pope Francis completed his degree in chemistry before deciding to enter the seminary.
He has collected a couple of other academic degrees since then.
This guy is a typical Jesuit in that he's a highly educated, bonafide intellectual.

That Bergoglio--the final Pope on St. Malachy's list and the one prophesied to reign over the church as it enters the Great Tribulation period--named himself after Saint Francis of Assisi is intriguing given that shortly before his death Assisi prophesied that at the time of the tribulation a man would "be raised to the Pontificate, who, by his cunning, will endeavor to draw many into error and death… Some preachers will keep silence about the truth, and others will trample it under foot and deny it…for in those days Jesus Christ will send them not a true Pastor, but a destroyer”[Works of the Seraphic Father St. Francis of Assisi (1182–1226), Washbourne, 1882 AD, 248].

I can only assume by "polesmoker" you are implying that I'm a homosexual male. I'm an average heterosexual with a happy family but you can call me what ever makes you feel like a good Christian. Why is there so much gay bashing on here? I do feel sorry for people born gay but what does that have to do with this thread, do you just think about gays constantly or what? I have lots of clues but you will just ignore them more than likely, so carry on.

I made an ASSumption based on your post, that you were a Christian, my apologies. I'm glad I could help you make your point, I guess. I also consider Catholics to be Christian even though some do not. I don't know what faith you claim or if you even accept a label but obviously Christians think they worship the god of Israel and he completely transformed into a new god during a midlife crisis.

I totally understand your position and it makes perfect sense except for one minor problem. Like I said I don't know your faith exactly but I'm curious as to what exactly you believe, because anyone smart enough to know Jesus wasn't god is worth listening to. Is there a link to a thread where you have explained your belief so you don't have to do it here? I did see a discussion between you and the "Prophet of Jesus Christ" fruit cake but didn't read much because I wasn't interested in anything he had to say.
